so much pirate drool in this thread. how noble you all are, pitching your ideas to help ccp get lo sec more populated.
it must be a real rush to kill someone when you know in advance the damage they're dealing and tanking. that so rarely happens in 'real' pvp. popping someone when they're black screened undocking probly gets the adrenaline pumping as well.
increased security loss for empire ganking, and sliding security boost for killing criminals, these will increase the lo sec population. you can't force people into lo sec, but you can increase the number of people there by choice.
i respect pirating as a profession, but only a small percent of those posting here deserve that name. the rest are just a different version of the whiny carebear you profess to hate so much. |

Do you realise a lot of people earn money in high sec to pay for there alts and even there main accounts ? these people are on fixed rl budgets and cant afford to pay 15 a month .. By pretty much wiping out hi sec income.. You will reduce players by about a 1/3 within 6 months.. with in the year .. i reckon you will have half the players but alot of those will be pvpers cause they cant afford there pvp profession
Alot of people get limited time to play .. and while we are happy doing hi sec missioning .. It allows us to be interrupted half way through and be able to do things when our attention might not be 100% on the game, . And the little time i have i dont want to be waiting in the station for a blob to move on.. and i know i wont be alone.
I reckon by killing the hi sec income Isk sellers and buyers will flourish these guys mine complexes for bills not missions. But without the isk available to every one there will be more demand.
Seems that its more sour grapes than anything.. some 0.0 player says I earn 30 mill isk an hour.. and its not fair cause a high sec player earns the same or more..
So complex runners sometimes earn billions in a day .. dont see me complaining about them..a pirate that takes out a fully pimped cnr can also earn heaps .. Dont see me complaining
Low sec would have a influx of players in the short term.. But 12 months time it will be a even quieter place.. Sure make BIGGER rewards in Low sec and 0.0 but dont make high sec worthless.
Yeah its a carebear whine .. But i still say you want to make low sec more populated easy increase rewards X 2 and make gate guns untankable by anything to stop camps.. thats not pvp .. thats im too scared to fight a real fight.. |

I am sure it has already been wrote but I am to lazy to look:
For CCP to do this it would be like cutting off its nose to spite it's face. Meaning "**** off the many high sec people to please the few low sec people". Yeah, real good for business there big guy. |

They shouldn't move L4's to low sec. PVE players use LVL 4's to pay for there PVP ships and gear.

Current lowsec mission model is fundamentally flawed
-Fixed agents means the pirates know where players will be -Pirates can pick targets while mission runners are forced to react rather than act or lose sec status -Good mission setups are costly - lots to lose so can only happen infrequently -Cognitive burden - lowsec requires 100% attention all the time to avoid probes etc -Even if you escape the pirates they can screw your mission by taking mission specific items -Declining compromised mission sites costs standings
My 0.02 isk?
Don't mess with the current highsec system, instead add new content...
New mission types lowsec specific *No mission specific items *Less rats, smaller, but with much better bounty/loot (so total bounties rivals any normal lvl 4) *Always in deadspace to make scanning with recon probes harder. *little/no standing penalty for declining/cancelling mission *Easily doable in a cruiser/bc. *total rewards should be at least on par with highsec, and ideally better even factoring in lost time due to avoiding pirates
-Agents can be contacted from anywhere in lowsec and will give a mission in the system you are in, rewards/rats adjusted for the security status. Add scan probes to overview as selectable to make scanning for them easier.
Hopefully this will result in "roving" mission runners everywhere in lowsec, who can't be pinned to a few systems, while adding more targets for pirates/pvpers.
