So its my 18th today and what to do I get a bleeding card from my parents saying that its not just a card but also a bleeding present. . Also with a message saying I can get something when I get my exam results.
I may just turn into an emo.

on my 18'th birthday I had to cut a load of logs for 10 hours, then carry huge nets filled with treasure up a mountain like in that film, 'the mission' and then when that was all done I got a solid beating to straighten up my back ...
long story short get used to not having everything you want handed to you, its gonna happen less and less as you get older ^___^

Oh you poor baby!
I just turned 37. I got NO presents, NO party, NO cake, NO NADA. I work over 40 hours a week and make just barely over the US national average income. With that income I have to pay a mortgage, a car lease and various credit card and utility bills. I have not one, but TWO Special-needs children (which cost about 2-3 times as much to raise as average children due to extra medical and therapy bills) and a wife who constantly whines that we don't have enough money left over for her to get a boob-job for her flat self!
Please tell me how hard your carefree, 18 year old "nothing to do but study, drink, sex up beautiful buxom young women and party" lifestyle is because you didn't get pressies this year AND your parents actually want you to MAKE something of yourself. I think I may have to play "cry me a river" on the world's smallest violin!

Happy Birthday. For my 17th birthday my parents took me to give blood, then write my math exam, which no amount of sympathy would make my teacher pass me. In retrospect, given the nice hole in my arm, I might have been able to pass by writing it in blood, but that might have been creepy. On the upside my birthday is 1 month after Christmas (January 25) so I'm in a great position to get most things I want, or expensive things. Look at the bright side, there is always birthday cake, enjoy it while you can. -------------------------------------------------- Everyone is born right handed, only the great over come it.

The cake is a lie for me.
Hence why I insist on a giant birthday cookie. About 2 feet across, half an inch thick massive chocolate chip cookie. Takes about a 6 times batch of cookie dough to make (12 dozen cookies otherwise), and lasts for about 2 weeks of my family and I working on eating it. Easy to store and cut, because its a cookie. -------------------------------------------------- Everyone is born right handed, only the great over come it.

I did not get a hint of crying, just a nice dose of reality check for an 18 y/o complaining that they might not get a gift for their birthday. How bout we say something along the lines of, how about you trying to live in a genocide filled country and then cry because you did not get a birthday present.
Calling this guy out and saying he probably put himself in the situation is just ignorant. You do know that there is research out that is pointing to certain vaccinations in certain kids causing developmental dissabilities like Autism You have no clue of his situation, on the other hand we have a clear idea of the OP's situation.

Not even the longbeds are as long as that car was. On a side note I accidentaly used my dad's dodge to climb over another car in a parking lot once cause the parking spaces were not built for large vehicles. I thought I was clear until the ali-oop.

The reason my parents had a go was because I didn't have any cash with me and couldn't pay my board that week (40 pounds) and they were planning to use it for fuel so they could visit their parents...
