if someone had hopped into the gila resulting in you getting concorded it would have been an exploit.
The best thing you could have done was stay aligned. As soon as he left the gila the point dropped and he would have had to relock you in the raven.
They could have bumped you out of alignment of course but no they did not exploit. It's borderline to me personally but eve is very black and white and they didn't break the rules.
edit: you can continue to shoot the gila after he ejects. If someone else hops in it. That's the exploit.

PS. It's not an exploit or anywhere near it, you aggress the *pilot* not the ship, you should have sucked less mm'kay.
According to my understanding of the EULA and various guide lines (and me being me i've had to aquaint myself quite a bit with it to avoid...more bans) this isn't even in a grey area, it's so legit you can eat off it.
In fact, I bet several gm's are laughing at your petitions right now going "holy shit that is some wicked ass piracy man, we GOTTA try that during the lunch break!".
The only gray area where it becomes an exploit is if someone (else) hops in the ship the victim is shooting. The victim will then get concorded. I've lost 2 or 3 battle haulers to this :(

As always, it's funny to read all the "LOLZ U FAIL NOOB" responses from people who probably learned this the same way. 
Yes Galen it's very interesting. It's probably been about a year since I had this happen to me.
On two instances that I recall I was shooting a covetor in my itty5 and the pilot ejected. Another pilot hopped in (I'm still shooting here...) and I was concorded. I learned later that this was an exploit 
So there is (or was) something happening with targeting ships and locking people out of them. I can't be bothered to test it and see exactly what the mechanic is, but yes it is (or was) possible.
edit: If you're not following my replies what I type may be confusing. In short: what happened to the OP is not an exploit. However, if someone had hopped into that Gila it would have been.
