Okies.
So we have had war declared on us. And for the first night, it was fantastic, loads of large engagements, a real feeling of a struggle. Hard fought and energy zapping.
Then last 2 days......
Nothing, no forces, no large scale battles. 18 PA bs last night sat in UMI KK waiting for the 28 hostiles next door to jump through, did they?? no they retreated back down to ECP. Why? god knows. We would of been forced to flee if they had jumped, but we were determined to at least give it a try.
So this war has been reduced to you camping a few key areas until we move you on, ganking lone pilots from the pa if they dont heed warnings in PA Chat and fall into your "traps". Whilst we actively hunt you down, and inflict far heavier losses. Like I thought you declared war on us?
All that talk, all that bravado, and it all comes down to the same old same old. Gank some loners, run n hide if a force anywher near the size of yours turns up. (they even run from smaller forces  )
Well we all know the numbers of losses, I just wander how long you can continue, or even how long most of the corps whos hearts are not really in it will want to continue, as we keep taking you down with such a bad ratio of deaths n kills for your forces.
If you want tto fight, you know where we are, although no doubt we will come down later and smash your "blockades" as usual. You guys have ths safe spot partying sorted right out 
(whilst I know its kinda imflamatory, its also a little tongue in cheek, just wanna hear the mighty military reasoning)
ps, maybe see youguys tonight? :P

You're whining because we won't fight your fight?

If you wanna fight blobwars I think there are a couple of takers for that down south.
You still see this as being two lines of cavalry lining up against each other and yelling charge?
Ask the polish how that worked out in 2nd world war (I hate to give a RL example but I think that one is pretty on top of things).
Think attrition warfare. Many small skirmishes, not a couple gigantic battles.
If the EVE engine supported it I would be thrilled to take part in the massive battles... but since it's about who sees things on his scanner and who doesn't, whose modules activate and whose doesn't... it's not very fun is it.

um... not to throw a monkey into your wrenching, but the selfsame master you quote notes that to control is preferable to fighting, indeed the fighting will only occur if you have failed to control.
of course, succeeding would be horribly boring

I think this war is special because it has all the biggest forum *****s gathered together (on either side - but mostly the (JF/RKK/MLMM/EV vs PA) throwing mud at each other as they re-hash the same debate again & again & again & again & again & again in an effort to justify your actions (in a new therad every time).....
None of you are going to convince the other that they are wrong. You each have your veiwpoints and have decided to let your guns do the talking.
This type of war can never be won, but at least everyone should have fun.
I hope you guys hug after this is over, it seems the ghost that is the VA/NVA has come back to haunt Eve (or some people wont let it die...)

War in any format we would of loved, you nothing more than abunch of annoying pirates right now. Whilst gratz on "all" your kills How yu ever expect to make any sort of change with these tactics is wayyyy beyond me.

Well if u form 100+ ship blobs dont expect people to jump into them.
We also came in intercept the r-k forces who were in cod space but you guys head off intop branch, it would have been a pretty even match...

Unfortunatly, there is no winner, and no looser in this game. Take CA for example they have been getting attacked for months and months, taking loss after loss, inflicting them too of course. But yet they still stand... Look at SA Duke Drocklar came onto the forums and claimed that SA were dead... yet SA/CA stil have some huge impressive fleet battles... SA still stand...
Basically unless everyone in the alliances will always be in said alliance until they all fall out with each other and move on. Thats about the gist of it really tbh. All you can hope to achieve is obtain/maintain a better kill/loss ratio and hurting lone idiots with ganks is prolly the best way to do it.

I'd love to see 10 strong packs of frigs and interceptors roaming through venal, tenal and branch
simply put.. if we stay out of their grasp, and kill anything small enough to crush quick
then it will turn into something a lot like what hapened to america in veitnam
sure, america had the power to flatten them a dozen times over, and a dozen times again
but they couldn't apply it.. so their morale was broken, and they gave up the fight

Your losing a lot of ships on your terms, i think he was asking why fight in such a manner, as it's clearly not benifiting you in kill/loss ratio.

Just to put a 10x opposite spin on your propaganda. Yesterday EV and crew numbering 28 pilots offered battle to 80, yes EIGHTY PA pilots sitting in HPA. Guess what, they didnt wanna fight. We got bored and went back to Tribute.
anyhow, as you determine who you fight, we determine who we fight. If you do not like it, oh well.
Enough with the whining and get it on in game.

You can't control 80 ships moving through space in Eve, BH, unless you have 80 ships too. Therein lies the boredom like you said.
