an observation.
It has been stated in this thread by several CA members that they don't have time to swat flies and that their attention is not on the GW at the moment.
So the question has to be asked again.
Has the CA given up on The Great Wildlands? The only honest answer would be, "yes, for now". The Great Wildlands is currently an open region.
This is by no means a permanent state of affairs but it is the current state.
It would be nice to hear the CA concede that "yeah, our focus has been elsewhere, we've lost control of the GW, but we plan on dealing with that soon(tm)."
I guess we will have to wait and see if the CA tries to bring the Great Wildlands back under their thumb. We will be waiting.

Originally by: Mistress D'Malice My post was no bull. I was one of the group that jumped in on those 5 bs's. Now I am sorry, but do you expect us to sit there and wait for you to fight? I mean 5 bs's to 3 frigs/2 cruisers? Once you safespot, which Celest did, whats the point? So we can sit in local for 45 mins scanning to try and find you? Please.
err you guys had 6 or 7 cruisers initially. Noxx, to his credit, joined you guys in his breacher when you had already jumped in to e02. Incidentally, you might be forgetting that we warped in on you guys when you were at the 8yc gate - that's where you abandoned Noxx to his death. It was you guys that left the system, not us.
If you were flying cruisers to have fun more power to you. They are cheap so what was the risk in sticking around to fight? You might have actually taken out a battleship with your cruiser fleet - wouldn't that have been a feather in your cap...

I loved it when one of your guys asked in local if we were having a party (or words to that effect).

LMAO, i rememeber that fleet passing through, at the time u passed through we thought u were coming fro a fight. We had a few battleships in system and a few frigates. few more of our guys logg on and we are up for a fight and see u heading to bvip and then leave....we were like ...we are back here...where u all going??
Also i think point C is probaly true, for your earlier post, and there is a high chance that any mining corp that comes to the GWs will get ganked by ca when we not about, but there is ark in 4 jumps from a station with lots and lots of belts so that enemies have hard time of finding u at a belt. If a mining corp is smart no-one could touch them

Sooooooooo when ca forces run you out of great wildlands (easily I might add) because of a "Blob" you come back a few hours later and call it your space. If you are being run out of GW consistantly how can you even try to argue that point?
hes right though. All miners please come down to the great wildlands. Make sure you bring plenty of industrials and mining battleships. and let us know when you want to take the minerals back to empire we can set up an escort

You can say what you want. Ca does not control GW on more than we do. therefore u can mine there with no problem if you use ur head just a little. mine in U3K theres 30 belts there and ark(or so im told) and refine in E02. If u really want it back fulltime then u should do more than send a blob now and then.

Celest says we abandoned GW, we say we havent. All I can say is that Black Omega makes runs at the Celest groups all the time. Monday a group of 6 of us, 4 frigates and 2 cruisers, made our way to E02. We jumped into E02 and found 4 Tempests and a raven at the gate. As soon we engaged they ran and safe spotted never to be seen again. Fedaykin(sp?) was the first to run actually.
The same Fed that killed two BS (Apoc and Domi) in a 2 vs. 1 the other week?
I'm sure he was in mortal fear of your Cruisers.
Tips to miners:
1. Make bookmarks to and from u3k, leading to the station e02 and/or the stations in M-M.
2. Mine your bellies full of Arkonor and become filthy rich!

Have you even read our posts? Where have we claimed _any_ space at all as ours?! We're just asserting that Curse Alliance is no longer in control of Great Wildlands and, though there are still risks, it's open for others to take their chances and perhaps make a couple hundred million in rare ores. =============== Killboard: http://www.celeskills.com

It seems like it's true though, last night I spotted 1 CA in GW when I was patrolling B-VIP - E02 solo. Was in E02 alone for at least 30 minutes then I went to HLW instead. 12 pilots, 11 docked and 1 I couldn't find in space. Nobody that seemed to care about me at all.
How much effort would you put into chasing a harmless fly around your house?

my lord you VotF people should know better. You came down a while back - lost your revered leader's scorpion and a raven. I lost my tempest. We've fought so many times, us jumping into your camp, you warping into ours. Christ at least be honest with yourselves - I try to show respect to VotF on the forums, unless your people start talking out their rear exhaust ports, and I would hope you would do the same. If you feel like sinking to the level of the rest of the CA smacktalkinforumwh()res then feel free, just don't expect any respect from this point on =============== Killboard: http://www.celeskills.com

Jeezus your ignorance of your own past stupefies me. CA ganked anyone that wasn't CA prior to us arriving, with the help of several other open-space minded corps. Now, at least people have the option to fly into "Your" house and perhaps earn some dough. They run less of a chance of being popped by CA now than in the past and to ME that means it's safer for them.
If anything I'd think they'd provide more targets for your vaunted pvp corps and would welcome the invitation. Instead, your response indicates to me that you fools have truly been driven out and can no longer lay claim to the Great Wildlands. I'm a fly in your house. I'll land on your food, I'll buzz around your head, I'll even breed more flies just come out and do something of consequence or SHADDAP and admit GW isn't under your control.

Ok, so I take this to mean you truly resign control of Great Wildlands. Shaddap or defend your "house." In the meantime I'll be at safespots, yet somehow able to gank "lone bs only fitted for travel."

Looking at the original topic of this post, I see that it isnt completely true.
The CA havent given up the Great Wildlands as they occasionally show a presence there. Is Great Wildlands still under CA control definitely not.
When the warriors of Celes first arrived in the area to escalte attacks in our war with the CA there was a firm presence of CA Battleships and other support craft that would camp the BVIP system preventing anyone from entering. Back in those days if I was able to manuvuer past this blockade there were still CA battleships forces that would be encountered before reaching the system of E02. Which seemed to backup the words on the secure cans positioned in egbinger and BVIP that gave warning to all non-CA to not enter Great Wildlands, upon penatly of destruction. Well as what has become apparent these warning, have now become just wispers in the wind.
As it now seems the CA has overextended itself. Like the mongols of old earth history they had control over vast regions, and when the mongols were able to focus all there troops in one area, there were few foes that could stay the field against them. As a keen observer of tactics and strategy the CA can somowhat do the same by massing there forces, move quickly to one area and able to defeat there enemy but as they do, they are always leaving somewhere else undefended, unoccupied, and not under there immediate control.
And as of recently the only CA forces left in the Great Wildlands are the shuttles, indies, frigates, and minimal amount of crusiers and battleships. As any adapt fighter and commander would know, if you know what kind of foe your fighting then you should prepare for him. Thus, we have now begun preparing to fight the kind of CA forces currently present, which usually end up in the ganking of frigates, crusiers, and indies.
Even now it seems that less number of these kinds of CA forces are coming through Great Wildlands, and now i can see why Shariona made the assumption that CA are giving up Great Wildlands.
