It looks like the CA is giving up the GreatWildlands, so i think its open for everyone again.
So all you miners and explorers come to this nice place.
The Greatwildlands is a rich place for CA and there friends, but now its from everyone.

C'mon shariona no point in these threads and you know it.
It seems like it's true though, last night I spotted 1 CA in GW when I was patrolling B-VIP - E02 solo. Was in E02 alone for at least 30 minutes then I went to HLW instead. 12 pilots, 11 docked and 1 I couldn't find in space. Nobody that seemed to care about me at all.

got to agree with that point, but otherwise Shar has it right. True, every now and then the Curse blob comes to town and force us to evade it due to numbers. It stays for an hour or 3 but the other 20 hours it's pretty much Curse free (not counting frigs and shuttles).

To say that the tread is pointless is maybe to overdue it, compared to some of the treads made by CA peeps. And Shar has a valid point. If any miners wanna come and mine in peace they should come to GW. but be on the look out for a CA blob. They allways come from HLW so the miners should have plenty if time to see them comming and go to safespot or leave.

Hehehe yes keep thinking that, makes it easier for us. Too bad I can't write our current kill/loss stats here without it getting a flamefest.

Do we eally need to try this again? I mean come on.
Celest says we abandoned GW, we say we havent. All I can say is that Black Omega makes runs at the Celest groups all the time. Monday a group of 6 of us, 4 frigates and 2 cruisers, made our way to E02. We jumped into E02 and found 4 Tempests and a raven at the gate. As soon we engaged they ran and safe spotted never to be seen again. Fedaykin(sp?) was the first to run actually.
So say what you want...we both know what happens when force comes to bear on Celest in Curse. |

i think what my amazing corp friend(u like that shar) is trying to say is, we are bored... and i for one cant be arsed moving again... i like my new home in Curse..

Come guys there is no need to respond with COMPLETE lies. The black omega ruptures that buzz about at 300km to 0 in 2 secs trying kill the odd frig that is flying with us is hard engaing us in a fight. And we didnt run away there. So our battleships werent set up for killing fast cruisers/frigs so what? why do black omega no longer fly battleships?? Personally i cannot see the attraction in ****ing around in a fast cruiser/frig." look at me, arent i fast ,u cant catch me :p"

we are more like super bored down in GW and hoping to spice things up a bit by attracting some CA flyswatters. The fights I have gotten there in the past have been fun and close fought but these days I don't find anyone to fight. We are just hoping to change that

Curse are active in Great Wildlands. Problem is, it's more often than not passing through in frigs and cruisers.
Couple of incidents:
1) I was patrolling solo when I noticed 1 pilot coming up from HLW area. I moved to the gate at a strategic distance and waited. In jumps a CA megathron. I warp scramble him with my Tempest and start firing. The Megathron locks me back and starts heading towards me - or so I thought. Having never even fired a shot, the Megathron gets back in jump range with no shields and perhaps 75% armor and jumps out.
Now that is just a single occurance. I wouldn't have thought it representative, but a Curse Tempest jumped through the same gate a few minutes later with the _same_results_. The Tempest just had a bit more armor by the time it got back into range and jumped out.
Ok, ok two runners - nbd. Cept it happened _again_ with a Curse Raven in SL-YBS. I had chased a CA cruiser North but gave up in SL. A CA jumped in and I hung at the NIH gate waiting for him. The raven landed - I warp scrambled him and started firing. Just made his way to the gate and jumped out.
This is all within around 60-90 minutes or so with me being the _only_ Celestial Apocalypse in the area. I might have been the only one logged on.
Ok, on to incident #2.
2) Myself and a few other Celestial Apocalyps folks, along with an Organ Grinder and a few other folks working to keep GW open were flying around in E02 ganking the occasional target. They were all ganks because noone would really stick around and fight if we didn't make them. In any case, our 5 pilots had taken out a Maller with > 37,000 megacyte and had already divvied the spoils when we noticed a blob beginning to form around JPL. Expecting a real response to Curse's 1/3 of a Billion isk loss, we got to the appropriate gate and made ready for a _real_ battle in a mixed cruiser and battleship fleet.
Well, in jumps the blob - we counted 7 jump ins and made the call to retreat and assess the situation. Of those 7 pilots 7 were in cruisers, we learned, plus one in local, making 8 cruisers iirc. They set up a camp at a different gate and scattered when our fleet warped in. All of them left the system after this, with the exception of Noxx. He stayed and fought while his Curse "friends" left him to die. Our little fleet was around for another hour or so with no sign of any other Curse resistance.
These incidents were just a few days ago, so you tell me: Are Curse really still trying to claim GW? If they are they certainly aren't putting up much of a defense of that claim.

No, that wasn't directed at you but the CA whiners (you're usually not one of them though), who claimed CELES ran from those in 5 battleships or whatever that was.

I can understand your bored of fighting CA, CA are bored of fighting you guys as well. Honest to god, the reason why you don't get fights up there is because (true or not) CA members think you'll just run off and really can't be arsed. We're also distracted elsewhere atm.
For an anti-pirate good-guy corporation, inviting people to mine in an area in which you KNOW they'll be risking their lives and ships is a little daft. If people come into GW CA will, when our eye turns north again, die. You know this to be true. You guys might be able to take on CA, I respect you for that. Chances are those that you invite to GW won't be able to, and it is you that will be responsible for that. Your actions would have brought them there under the false assumption that they will be safe. The only plausible reasons for you doing this is:
A. A cheap PR stunt.
B. A cheap shot at the CA.
C. A cheap attempt to get CA to come fight you (cus your bored).
D. An attempt to get people to come to Curse, get ganked, insight more hatred of the CA and make us look even worse than we already do to the general public of EVE. A cheap trick.
In case you didn't guess it, I think this whole thread and the whole idea of getting people to mine in CA space to be a bit, erm, cheap  I honesty thought Celestial Apoc where above that, don't prove me wrong, I hate being wrong
If your a pirate-hunting/good-guy corporation and you feel you have supressed the CA's piratical/evil activities in GW sufficiently that you can open it to the public I would suggest you either need to move your military campaign forward or find a new group of 'pirates' and all round bad guys to target. There have to be more evil do-ers in the galaxy than just us. As it is, inviting people to an unsafe area of space, or an area of space which will inevitably be unsafe again in the near future is plain irresponsible.

You have no idea how happy he was he won. We get 'the talk' of Saladin if we lose BS, and we can do without that  . Explaining you lost a ship and facing the ridicule of your corp mates is bad enough. 'the talk' is a very good motivator for not losing ships .
Luckily I've not lost on since KOMR and SPCT merged, but I've heard stories, and I'm sure my time will come
We were slightly suprised he won too, and how did he get shariona? That thing should have been able to outrun cruise till the cows came home.

Now your run through HADOC yesterday was a better tactical move. And I commend you for it. Too bad I didnt have 3 more seconds or else Dark Uncle in his Elite would have been my next addition to the corpsicle collection. :) |

lol, you wish. As it happens, you missed that particular convoy a couple of weeks ago. 1 indy, 2.5billion isk worth or rares, not even scratched. Of course the 6 BS escort, 5/6 frigs scouting front and rear and the insta-jumps helped. Plus that was the toughest indy I have EVER seen. With all the rare stuff on it it must have been worth getting on for 50mil itself.
I loved it when one of your guys asked in local if we were having a party (or words to that effect).
