I just checked the corps that are thieves section in your topic and...you know what never mind, from the corps I saw in that section I can't even imagine a die hard carebear taking your list seriously any more, no matter how much they want to hate pirates :P you've outdone yourself on poor work since I last looked Fitz, you really have, I congratulate you and wish you luck on your heist.
I've said it before, when you one day run off with billions of isk i'll be the first one in line to congratulate you. |

It was solely to get myself isk. Many people find this hard to believe, but its really the only reason. Everything else is a side effect.
I don't believe this because you made a thread about it. Sorry more did not drop for you though. |

The point of my thread is a starting point for CEO's to look at name of people and corps for potential problem new recruits. They can then make their own determination on whether to dig further or not. My thread serves that purpose.
I will never be a scammer because I am one of those who plays the game as I live my life. If you knew me in RL you would know I won't steal or scam. Besides the fun if building stuff and making isk to build... this is why I play Eve. |

What a fun and entertaining story! I have one question Mr. Xyschahr: If your victim had transfered ISK into your wallet, as requested, would you have honored your ransom demands? Perhaps the temptation to see what his expensive pinata would drop would be too great a temptation to resist. |

It depends on the amount. I had a chance of making up to 6b, with expectation of making about 3. Had he paid me 3b+, I would have accepted it, yes. |

lol, thread delivers.
especially lovely the chat logs. i am kind of torn, there is a bit of sympathy on one hand, misplaced trust in a corp mate is a harsh experience. especially if they are younger players blessed with ignorance and innocence. if they are veteran carebears, a big high five to the op.
despite being a game where teamwork is important, you always got to expect a dagger from the back.

GJ anyway.
I trust mine, and we have multiple corp thieves, scammers, suicide gankers and mission gankers on our rooster.
Hell, I just recruited Won Ton for crying out loud, his best selling point WAS all his scamming :D
You forgot ******ed smack. :)
Also, Kublai calling Fitz out reminds me of that guy who scammed with an IPO about 20-25b, only to call out Calli/Dentara Rast weeks before he finally killed EIB. :) |

Different folks play for different reasons. I've never understood why the people who play for PvP get all worked up over the fact that some folks don't enjoy PvP. Thought that's what MMOs were all about: Bringing the chat-room monkeys, the PvP fraggers, and the RPG questers into the same environment and blurring the lines a bit.
So go on, call 'em "carebears" and make fun of 'em.
But let's be real here... all you managed to do here was go out of your way to make sure someone else stopped having fun for a while because they didn't want to play your game your way. They avoided situations that'd call for PvP and extortion, and you managed to find a way into their gameplay and made 'em choke on it.
Big.
Freakin'.
Hero.
I am, however, impressed with Xyschahr's willingness to at least obscure the names of the folks he makes fun of. Some of those reactions of corpmates are... well, not productive. Self-righteous visceral threats and acrimony have seldom done anything but poison the well in which they're offered.
So yeah Xys, you made some money, gained a little infamy, but in the end, it's as simple as this: People pay money to play this game, and they play it in their own ways - in whatever way makes it fun for them. You just punished someone for not playing your way.
Put whatever spin you want on it, there's really no way around that.
How can this all not interest or intrique you in any way? Think about a game where the computer tells you to go arrest some bad guy for his crimes. Then you march in, have a fight and win, justice prevails and all that.
It's all happening here in EVE, but it's real in the sense that all those crimes happended to actual players, were committed by actual players and something of value was really lost. I mean, I'm just a humble cog in the great A-WAR machine but things like this make me love EVE in all that it is. Grudges against other pilots, corps and alliances and the feeling of camaraderie with others I've fought side by side is the thing that makes EVE alive and stand out.
Whether you like it or not, you're not just playing EVE (for different reasons), you are participating in a virtual world full of life - where bad things really happen and you stick to your friends, no matter what. |

Yikes. I'd congratulate the OP but I'm actually almost offended by people who join corps just to grief other corp members. It's the one time I feel comfortable using the word "griefing" in the context of Eve.
Still... the guy did take his officer-fitted ship into a mission accompanied by a brand new corp member. He failed to show a healthy degree of paranoia. But... I dunno.
I'm so conflicted. Thought I'd make a post anyway to distract me from the other stuff I'm doing (emailing a bunch of people a bunch of stuff )

being a fairly scupulous person this action makes me uneasy, at the same time its eve and you gotta watch your back at all times, so in that respect I can not damm you. though poorly planned you really should have solen from the hangers to really top this off.
on a side note, those who spout if you dont like eve then dont play it, careful what you wish for once all the fish are gone there will only be sharks and no prey.
there has to be a blance of actions people make, if you truly love EvE then you understand that saying GF and nice try and better luck next time go along way, rather then say F you and leave the game then.

Character recycling is a no-no in this game, and grow a pair if your gonna do this, not just recycling alts. Makes it even less post worthy than it already is. If you are indeed recycling characters to do it. If not then yea post worthy :)

I haven't recycled characters, and have no intention at all of boxing this one. I was merely pointing out that it takes next to no time to be able to do this, and all it would take is 50 days of training, letting your new alt sit with you on a few missions to get standings, then go around reigning destruction. Create a new char on that alt account you're training useless stuff on, train him for 2 months, then go back to training your primary alt :)
And In General, don't tell anyone, but I USED TO BE A LOWSEC PIWATE TOO :)
And I totally agree with Kublai. I draw the line at my friends. I would never do this to one of my good friends, even if he had 30b of officer stuff on a vexor. My good friends know who I am. The others, well, they're fair game :)

And these "bragging" posts are just forum clutter, don't you have EVE buddies you can share this with?
And to the mark: Be less trustworthy, only after 5 months do I fully trust my corpies :P

I wouldnt trust a friend who did that. Who's to say you are telling the truth and you wont just decide to gank them? Maybe they arnt a good enough friend? Do you think they would tell you if they dont trust you.
