Ok, not sure if many folks have brought this up, but WTF is happening?, have CCP changed something??...
situation1> guy jumps in, dont know why but the last week EVERYONE that jumps in on me seems to be 30km+ away .... so u say ok, screw it, allign to other gate and persue.... ship warps to gate, half way there, he vanishes from local .... this has happened quite a few times to me now, but didnt before. how is this possible?...
situation2> sitting at gate looking for enemies yourself.... gate activates, some1 jumps in.. enemy BS... ages later he uncloaks, but doesnt do anything, ie try and warp away.... hes 30+km away as usual ... close distance, give him a beating, he vanishes, he logged off when he jumped ... this has happened on a number of times for me also...
BUT, i ask why now CCP?... wtf have u guys done to screw this game up AGAIN....
sort these things or lose players i.e me....
when im in the moaning mood, duel MWD frigs are just silly... some1 can scout ur fleet so easy... that and the big stupid christamas tree map that makes it impossible to use any kind of stealth tactics, and u wonder why guys use the login trap?..
give me 1 hour with ur DEVs, ill save ur carebear game .

Maybe it's your aura that prevents them to get any closer
Seriously have you tried to figure out what could be happening?
Did they all have a reason to RUN!! Like: Did they know you and did they have reason to be afraid Or: Did you do or say anything to scare them out?
Or maybe Lag was bad and they crashed
Logging to avoid a fight is a problem in many games. The trouble is how to protect or reimburse someone who's PC or connection crashes. I have had a crash in the middle of fights with NPC's a few times and i'm glad i did not lose my ship because of that.
Deliberately doing it is exploiting in my book.
"Nerfing" logging off would still leave "kill client from taskmanager" option.

The worst one is still when people jump through a gate, and then simply dont appear on the other side wthfixplzmmk?
It seems ppl disappear if they log before they are warpscrambled, it just takes a while. They cant warp to safespot because they are warp scrambled, but if they log back in... u guessed it, they are at a safespot.

Yeah, it is screwed beyond any recognition. And the best part about it is: You only need to hit the quit game button . -- Stories: #1 --

CCP seemed to fix the problems of the past, only for them to come straight back... they trying to sneak this in without us seeing or something?....
CTDs arnt all that bad lately.. i havnt had one in weeks..
BUT, its far too easy to avoid combat.. IE log off when fighting...
it just really annoys me chasing a ship through 5 systems, then for him to press quit and he just vanishes .... if u sit back and look at it, its just so darn stupid for words.
i would rather lose 20 ships than log off like a girly.

If i had posted something like this ppl would have answered me yo use an interceptor and 30 km isnt any problem..
And you need to have a larger fleet so you can shoot the logging out guy before he wanish from space

Once all pvp-players (not only some pirates and some experienced pirate-hunters) notice that the combat system is broken, CCP will have to fix it. The best way to force CCP fast is terrorize Yulai and kill n00bs. 0.0 is our playground and is has to be dangerous.
The cloaking tricks have to go --> happy darth solo + happy lifewire = happy pvp-players.
I hope DEVs can understand this code

Maybe they are afraid that
happy lifewire = unhappy everybody else
unhappy everybody else = lotsof cancellations
lotsof cancellations = less cashflow into CCP wallet
less cashflow into CCP wallet = CCP going bankrupt
CCP going bankrupt = end of EVE
just a thought

CCP won't go bankrupt just because some 0.0-Pussies cancel the game. It would rather go bankrupt when all the 1.0 travellers cancel it because pvp players run amok there.

If CCP fixes the combat then it won't mean that peeps will all cancel their accounts. It simply means people will have to adapt their tactics again.
Lame log off, log on tactics blow hard and lifewire and darth are spot on as usual.

And tomorrow even more people will be using these tactics.
Why? Because you can't help but complain on the forums and all it does is spread the word. I've learned all of the best tactics for avoiding pirates in this forum, from pirates.

Because, other than those ppl who use this exploits and keep quiet about them, we want to change this game for a better. The more ppl know about it, the more ppl will use it, the more attention this problem will get. Now go and exploit!

Good to see you bring this up too darth. Couldnt agree with you more. Conclution, pirates thinks so, bounty hunters thinks so, alliances will think so when realized they cant protect their "claimed" space. Meaning anyone into pvp thinks so. So why do they say its not an exploit? Surely they didnt intend it to be used this way, and using flawed game mechanics to your advantage is what i always considered being an exploit. Makes no sence.
Care to give explanation ccp? oh sorry, im out of line, we only pay for your living after all. My bad [center] http://213.142.66.138/~nervar/myalb.jpg |

PPL also seem to be logging out before their ship dies to save there pods. That could do with getting fixed too. :/

When you log in-space, your ship automatically warps ~1Mkm away (and returns when you log back in) - perhaps this is what you're seeing?

It¦s fixed . CCP are islandic. Islandics are Vikings. Vikings are pirates with big helmets. Pirates with big helmets dont like the cloaking exploit.

Even the vikings used the cover of night so "cloud" their approach.
Maybe they were the first to exploit cloaking

ok, ill give u the situation...
seen an enemy ship warp to the gate i was at, it had an instant jump.. so i dont engage due to agression timer... he jumps, i jumpin after him, land my usual 30+ away from him , he warps to an object inspace, i allign to him, and hey presto, by the time my ship even thinks about alligning, hes gone from local..
their is 2 things that could have happened, he logged off when he jumped in.. or he logged off midwarp, both are just pants, and just plain dumb.
u have a sitauation where CCP land u pretty much 30+ away when u JI, giving the guy time to either logoff, or warp to moon and log off midwarp.
its a bunch of stupid things merging into one and making it even worse.
after a year of playing, im starting to think we are going backwards d solo.

And here is another one i recently had.....
sit at gate, enemy BS jumps in, a scorp.. warp scramble him, he doesnt move.... seems hes logged off, he gets into armour and just vanishes from local ... he logged off when he jumped in, as u can log off when not initially scrambled, and u just vanish when the timer runs out ...... u think thats a problem?.

There is something even more lame you know. Logging out as soon as you jump through a gate never to appear at the other side.
We even waited for him to decloak on the other side letting his soon-to-be-doomed corpmate go in the process. 2 lost kills because of_faggotry tactics.

Shhhh, it's only an exploit when a non-pirate does it.
