I'd probably do something boring like scale up my high sec trade operation to a busier region.
Or maybe I'd buy a bare bones carrier pilot and carrier for moving my pvp crap around... not sure. |

If I had 5 billion, I would destroy Jita's economy and create a new trade hub.
With the profits I would then set up a new trade hub in Minmatar space - in a station with a bloody repair facility!
Basically, I would use that 5bill to activate the economic weapon that my corp will eventually be... |

I'd use some of it to buy a Moros and fit it, then I would give the remaining isk to my friends in eve and my lil bro that hasen't been playing much as of late due to lack of isk. |

Edited by: Arthor Dark on 21/08/2008 16:25:27 Use the 5bil for a market manipulation scheme:
(1) Find an item that takes a while to produce (i.e. invented; I have a few in mind) and has a healthy PvP demand.
(2) On a Sunday afternoon, buy up all the sell orders at Jita, Amarr, and Rens, at once using a number of alts. (2a) Make sure you have enough isk to cover step (2) and then a bit more for any low sell orders put up later.
(3) Put those items back up at 2-3x the price over 5-6 sell orders of different quantities.
(4) Put up a single semi-large buy order and a few small buy orders (5-6) just below the 2-3x price to make it appear as if they are all legit.
(5) Wait for legit buy orders to be placed, and then cancel your large buy order.
(6) Update your sell orders religiously, and also buy low sell orders that may be put up to maintain your margins.
(5) Sell the inventory in 2 days or less.
(7) Profit.
Worst case scenerio is you lose a portion of your 5bil after getting stuck with alot of that item you can't sell.
But, you could also double / triple that 5bil in 2 days.
An exciting market pvp investment. |

Very good idea - takes alot of work would take a week or more to watch the market to see what is what, perhaps il setup a alt network just to take a look its sumthing I have never done in eve. |

Some very good ideas for those who say they have more in wallet & so on why not share what you have done with ur isk rather then just state a fact? Eve is not always about e-peen or who is better based on stats, there are people ( normal people out there who have over 70bil in wallet ) So this is nothing on that scale but seein as my time in eve is very limited over the summer I just wanted to know the options I could do over the months ahead :)

I think I'd take a chunk of it and buy a good 500 t1 frigs/cruisers and lead a poor mans "MAX" campaign through lowsec/nullsec with noobs from Jita flying free ships.
With the rest ... buy a few macherials and pvp fit them. |

Probably Bankroll a Goonfleet invasion of Empire space just to see how much damage they could do.. :)
Or, more likely, buy a mothership, with black jack and hookers. In fact, screw the Mothership.. :) |

Hi Ryan,
I read most of the previous posts to check if this had been mentioned and didn't see anything much...
If I were in your posistion I would use the money to fund a race, tournament or lottery of some description. With some careful planning and minimal work you could easily make even more money. For example, if only 100 people sign up and pay a 50m ISK entrance fee for the chance to win 5bil then you have made the prize money back...
Since you're clearly more entrpreneurial than me by virtue that you have so much ISK, I'm sure you can shuffle those figures to a greater advantage for yourself.
The only risk I see with this idea is organisational, more participants will be more work but potentially better returns. Also you will need to make an effort to advertise and ensure you get enough signed up to cover your expenditure.
Ultimately though, if it all goes pear shaped you can cancel the whole thing (at the expense of some reputation) in order to keep you bank balance intact. If successful, you could potentially turn it into an on-going event...
Hope this planted some different ideas!

Can I just ask if I got 100 people to sign up to win 5billion by putting in some isk them selfs to cover the 5bil - why would I need 5billion the 1st place- anyone could do this if the entry fee covers the winning.. I dont understand this part.

You can guarantee the prize fund. If you didn't have 5bil you might find yourself lacking if you didn't get enough interest.
The cash is a lure... if they know you have it and feel they can trust you to stange a proper event then people will be more inclined to sign up.
You could hand the cash to Chribba to hold in trust for the winner, surely no one would be a better guarantee?

Anyway, just trying to give you an idea no one else posted yet is all. You don't even have to commit the full amount to it. I sure as hell wouldn't pass up a chance to see even a fifth of that amount in my wallet for a reasonable entrance fee! Angelice Infinity Enterprises

I'd start a cooperation called "Museum of EVE". Start to collect every available module in game, and drop them in the corp hangar.
People could go to my museum by joining the corp and look at the splendid collection. 5 billions will get me started but it wont get me far, so i would depend on donation to further expand the museum collection.
There must be some Museum lovers out there..

I'd pay an artist to glorify my character (maybe corporation or the whole TRI alliance even!) with cool sketches, paintings and so on.
For an example, Verone paid this really excellent artist to illustrate some of his fiction. Like so.
It's not a bad idea for even just a couple hundred mil of that 5 bil, as you end up with something that can't be ganked away. It even survives the eventual server shutdown. Your very own piece of individually-oriented Eve art, or a cool piece of art for your whole alliance to cherish etc.
Just a thought anyway, it's certainly something I'd consider as I'd love a character portrait of Kai but I can't draw/paint.
