I have a POS in a system without a station in it. Is it possible to use Supply Chain Management to start some manufacturing jobs at the POS from say a few jumps away? |

Edited by: Xerxes Ceasar on 21/08/2008 14:36:46 I kneejerked and said no, but then i thought about it and must say that if you have all the required stuff(bpo and materilas) in the right hangar at the pos, then it could be possible. |

Does this help? I'm currently trying to figure it all out myself, but it seems like this covers what you were asking.
II.B/ Remote jobs:
Starbases are often used as remote manufacturing and research platforms to counterweight the lack of station or slots in a particular system. To use a starbase in such a way, five points have to be respected:
- The station and corporation Starbase both have to be in the same system. It is however possible to use an alliance POS for all jobs except for blueprint copying. - The blueprint original or copy has to be in a station corporate division if not located in the secondary structure itself (mobile laboratory or assembly array). - Any other input materials (decryptors, datacores, data interface, minerals, materials etcà) have to be in one of the secondary structure divisions (mobile laboratory or assembly array). - The player starting the job must have a sufficient level in either ôscientific networkingö for a research job, or ôsupply chain managementö for a manufacturing one. - The proper filters have to be set in the ôResearch & Industryö window. (Proper location for the structure selected, proper input/output for the job)

The answer is no, and only because you have no way of 'seeing' the BPO/BPC remotely. If the BPO was in an office in the same system, you could 'see' it and thus put it on. It's an interface limitation that you can't see items inside POS's remotely. |
