Log In, stare blankly for 4-6 hours while you try not to respond to the endless amount of shit in chat that is becoming an increaseing parody of itself.
Think about mining to pay for the last ship you just lost then think "nah, I'll just GTC it" get ship have a few fights.
maybe, if you lucky
then after losing another ship, think to yourself "oh oh people might think I suck at this cus every other eve online players opinion of me is oh so important, so I guess I'll go and kill some noobs to pad up my kills, or better yet grow some alts to kill, since your paying for thier ships with GTCs nobody will guess"...
Realise losing ships sucks and therefore, never risk another ship again by not taking any risks at all ever. The let CCP milk you for the thick, dumbass, imaginationless cash cow you are.

Putting up 4 POS at the same time in the same system...
Then being wardecced and realizing it aint worth it and taking the SAME 4 pos down and moving them.
Staring at the screen waiting on the last hour of your BPO reserach to be done ...So u can put it in for another 30 days and wait.
Trying to sell Minerals in the trade channel and having people low ball you even though you are the lowest because they FAILED at math and profit margins
Putting up buy orders and being broke and sitting thier refreshing the screen every 5 minutes to see if anybody sold you anything.
Doing 350 freighters Jumps in one day because...it JUST had to be moved now...yeah right!!!!
Running around all the different regions trying to get a dam fix on an item for price comparison and all but one have it..(learned to ask in big channels helps alot)
LEARNING JUMP Calibration 5 HOLY CRAP had to log off my eyes my eyess

Looting/salvaging in high sec after already boring mission that you did 20 or so times in the past (this time with your eyes closed). Anchoring POS structures. Looking at the market for 2 hours just to find out there's nothing you can trade (not enough money, far behind known gatecamps, not enough cargohold, etc.)

Salvaging is only boring because you're not doing it right. I dare say there are even ways to make mining interesting... not that anybody ever does them.

I'm a salvager by trade--junk is my life. Salvaging a completed mission may be boring, but salvaging need not be boring. Try salvaging an active L4 mission in progress. Same goes for plexes and low-sec and 0.0 belts. Its a hell of a rush running around in an unarmed ship looking for other pilots kills while avoiding hostile players and big rats. All the while queuing up tractor beams and salvage targets as well as loot.

You know, I don't think there's a single part of the game that I find to be boring. It's all just one big virtual game of Toy Soldiers and Tonka Trucks.
I'm probably dating myself here, but when I was a kid, you had your Tonka dump truck, bulldozer, road grader, and if you were lucky, a big pile of sand in your back yard that you'd move around, build roads, fortifications, motes, berms, etc. Then you'd set up your toy soldiers, have a big battle, knock it all down, and start again.
There wasn't really any part of that that was boring for me, and there isn't really any part of Eve that's boring either. I think people get bored when they try to play Eve like a FPS, and consider anything other than Pew Pew to be "just that stuff you have to do so you can Pew Pew". If I felt that way, seriously, I'd play counterstrike or some other game where I could just log on and Pew Pew nonstop.

Lol! even mining is easier than this because when jumping gates with a ship you have to pay attention or risk wasting time trying to arrive at your destination. at least mining has some leeway.
i would actually have to say that the worst is bumping up buy orders every 5 minutes. yeah thats definately the worst. every 5 minutes right down to the second, or you is FAIL. ____________________________________________________________________ mostly harmless |

on a side note, how effective is grinding courier missions for standing? im currently trying to up my standings, but i refuse all missions that will hurt my reputation with one of the major four factions as i do not want to hinder my ability to travel. would it be faster to grind couriers or to work my way up to level 4's refusing faction missions? ____________________________________________________________________ mostly harmless |

I placed a buy order for armor plates because I'm manufacturing a few rigs for myself. placed it for 100 plates, I then logged off. Received 3 plates checked what was going on and found out the +1ers managed to get the buy price boosted by 100,000 I grumbled but I plus oned. I was sold 5 plates while I ignored the market came back to look at what the price was now and yup up another 100,000 it boggled my mind basically the people placing buy orders managed to boost the cost to themselves by almost %100 in 2 days. However it did give me an idea next time I have stuff to sell .
As for the most boring.

Industry, trying to build anything advanced gets really boring for me super fast. Going 20-40 jumps for blueprint related stuff, 20 or so for some materials, another 20-30 for some extra components, another 20-30 to find a decent manufacturing spot without adding extra jumps of hauling something larger in a bigger slower ship. Prefer the light show from my lasers and never really finish whatever building project I started on nearly fell asleep thinking about building a t2 ship. Next most boring thing would have to be logging in 10 times to post anything on the forums then hauling.

Repping station services and/or POS guns (although the part where your carrier gets ganked by Bob ninjas is entertaining for both parties)
Fleet fights > 100-150 on each side (lag, mostly)
