Really, it's more that it "might or might not" run on a macbook and they don't want to take the blame if it goes wrong. Something to do with the way intel integrated graphics uses memory. ------------------------------------------------- Mac Graphics Performance Guide <3 my Drones |

Well Eve "runs" on my Macbook Air in a similar fashion as it runs on my iPhone via VLC. Not very enjoyable...but you can chat and change skills. All and all, if I could run it properly...i would probably get fired and ditched :D

Ah, I see I'm just happy it works on mine and hopefully Ambulation will work on it too.

VNC, and you have to set up your mac to allow VNC connections.
also you need to get access to your mac using a internet connection with port forwarding or a VPN

Yep, VNC Lite. You CAN change skills with it, but....it's not enjoyable :)

I've also got a 1st rev Macbook 2GHz with 2GB of RAM. It "runs" Eve to a degree, but eventually crashes. |

I have a macbook 2ghz with 2gb ram and gma950 gfx and eve runs fine on it, crappy framerate like, but good enough for changing orders, skills or just chatting to corp mates, etc, etc

I used cross over i think it was called and it worked on my macbook enough to log in ..change skills and such. undocking was iffy..and combat was out of the question. --------------------------------------------------- Scordite -Who was it that said that flying minmatar is kinda like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an uzi? |

Edited by: zoolkhan on 06/09/2008 18:07:01 i am using it on macbook too:
cedega client - yeah well, it works well enough to chat with your corp maties graphic issues and total lock up of the OS _will_ happen sooner or later. (the less you do, the later it will be) if i undock then i can speed up the time-to-crash.
bootcamp windows xp on same macbook:
no problems whatsoever. fast and reliable. - both methods dont allow premium graphics on this hardware.
my wishlist for the so called max os x client (cedega wrap)
-> windowed operation -> fix the gfx bugs, and prevent the total OS X freezelockup- thats very nasty for any *nix based filesystems - if you have to OFF/ON a machine.
and dont hide behind hardware requirement excuses its all fine under bootcamp, so it is not the hardwares fault - fix the drivers whip some cedega engineers with an amarrian electrowhip.
-- oh, and bring aurora back and let the devs play amongst the crowds again nothing beats direct experience.
(kiss my khumaak you tinfoil-hat fashion models amongst the pitchfork and torch burning usercrowd- you spoiled the game with your hysteria)
