Yes I know, we are just nubs nubbin' it up in low sec.
Anyways, the Amarr Militia managed to kill a dread and a carrier in Auga around 530 EVE time. Great fight and thanks to all those Amarrians who kept coming back in ship after ship.
Heretics, you've been hotdropping our BS gangs on a consistent basis. I'm glad we finally got an even playing field on which to engage them. GF. |

Was good fun, a great fight, something to the tune of 50 minutes long if I remember. Props on finally putting up a fight and having the perseverance to hold the field. You can't win every fight and this time I was aware we'd fight outnumbered, we did it anyway. The pheonix went down in a blaze of glory as it should have, taking a number of battleships with it. It's lifeline was something over a year and the pilot said himself he had no regrets. The carrier would have tanked ages longer but disconnected mid-fight, offline for 5 minutes and well, you know that story.
Both will be replaced, nothing crippling. We put what we're willing to lose on the field. We all said it afterwards:
Good fight. |

Awesome battle, and a great way to end the awesome night that we had. What I dont appreciate is being called primary and having to lose 5 damn ships in that fight. Vlad is a former corpmate of mine and we laughed it up after the fight in a private convo. Mirrorgod, thanks for bringing the fight brother. You may have been outnumbered initially but your 2 Carriers were on the field for a good 5 minutes before I dropped my first one in the battle. Vlad then jumped out to swap for his Dreanaught so DPS was definitely with you heh heh. Lag was bad so can definitely sympathize with your Carrier pilot.
This is definitely a more even playing field with 0utbreak gone and although a part of me misses those crazy doodes I look forward to more fights like this. |

That is correct. Our fleet had been dominating the sector for a good 2 hours with approx 9 kills in that time when Minmitar started to muster forces. We interrupted them by jumping in local and killing a small chunk of their support. (Rapier, and Retribution) One of them joked in local that if we wanted a fight we would jump out to let them mass up and come to us for the engagement. Remembering all too well the last time we did that they hotdropped 8 Caps on us, I knew what we were in store for, but I was "Semi" ready for it with a Carrier of my own on standby. Still we were bored, and wanted a fight so we left the system.
Sure enough after approx 15 mins the minnies started to show up on the Kourmonen gate in Auga. I had my fleet prepositioned, and once they landed we jumped in. Upon the jump they lit a cyno and jumped in 2 Carriers (Smog890 Thanatos and Vlad Cetes in a Chimera) After about 5 minutes we dropped our first Carrier onto the field. The battle commenced for approx 10 mins more when Vlad jumped out in his Carrier, and cynoed back in with his Phoenix. It was touch and go at first, but with the addition of 1-2 more Carriers from Slackers we started to hold the field.
The fight was indeed approx 1 hour long with reinforcements pouring in from both sides. In the end, heavy losses were taken by both sides, but we held the field, and looted. Its nothing to brag about because we have walked away with bloody noses on numerous occassions againt the forces of the Minmitar, but for anyone to say that 0utbreak leaving Minmitar has had no effect on their overall fleet capability would need to get their heads examined. |

The premise behind dropping the dread was to kill the single chimera that had been dropped. We had a support gang being repped by the triaged carrier. Carrier DC'd and couldnt keep our BS's repped so they died fast, the carrier was also soaking the hostile fire allowing dread to destroy battleships (3-4 volleys for most). With the carrier DC'd and support gone, dread was primary and began to take neuting. Result, dread dies, carrier dies when he reconnects.

We dropped in the carriers for rep support because we were totally outnumbered and they were bs heavy. 33 of us and 49 of them. They also had 4 carriers on the field, not 3, vs the one carrier we had and the swap out for the dread. As always stories are conflicting and the heat of battle makes for some *******s and a few facts. I lost four ships and most of my corp went back in to the fight with everything we could muster. Props to both sides for not giving up and coming back time and again till they finally ran outta ships to die.
Our kill board reads 18 loses on both sides, so thats not bad (thats with heretics involved in kills, dont know the final outcome) Considering how heavily outnumbered we were, we are wearing our loses with pride and the fight was worth more than any of the loses. We were so bored we actually intended leaving faction war.
I talked with slackers afterwards and wished them good fights all round. It was well worth undocking for and this is what makes the game worth playing.
Vlad got a nice shiney new Dreadnaught out of it from me (much love sweety) and its even an upgrade on his Phoenix, so hes over the moon.
I've also got the parts in the oven to replace our carrier so we basically lost nothing out of it but some time in the cooking.
Would definitely do it again
Props Amarr, bout bloody time! |

We had 4 carriers? I guess one didn't want in on the dread and carrier KMs: Carrier Dread
I'm not smacking, but it was 3 carrier vs dread/carrier. And 49? The gang that jumped into Auga had 33 people in it. More joined, but there's were plenty of red bumps as well. GF and see you around. Maybe you'll be a little more careful of cynoing in caps everytime we bring out BS fleets, like you did about an hour preceding the discussed engagement.
EDIT: Also Mirrorgod clearly hax as his Abaddon tanked around 200k damage. CCP nerf Abaddons and Remote Reppers! |

It was actually 3 Amarr carriers... as opposed to you having 2 carriers on the field for 5 whole minutes before we jumped just 1 of ours. And lol at the 49 vs. 33... we had at most 20something battleships..and nowhere near a gang of 49. So please get over these stories that you were outnumbered and valiantly fought off the Amarr blob. In all honesty, you guys are the ones that always hotdrop on any gang without any reprocusions.... now deal with the loss.
If anything it was Amarr that was outnumbered. Again really good fight Amarr.

Grats on finally working up the nads to do it instead of waiting till you either
1. Outnumber us 2. Outship/outtech us 3. Have your ecm***gotry backing you up 4. All of the above.
Oh wait... you STILL hotdropped...
Your hypocrisy amuses me.

Erm... those carriers weren't jumped in till you guys decided to hotdrop us...
Also, you DO realize we managed to jump into you guys outnumbered 30 v 40 on Saturday with having way more ecm on your side without jumping caps in, right?
And any time I've been on last week we were taking it to you guys pretty good.
TBH, since Outbreak left we've been taking it to you guys pretty good
I was starting to get respect for you guys, but after ass comments like those... lol Time to get a taste of your own medicine tbh |

Nice try. But no. My fleet jumped into you with 31, and we didnt jump our Carrier, mind you CARRIER- 1 Carrier until you hotdropped 2 Carriers onto our fleet. At most we fielded 3 Carriers. You werent outnumbered in this battle, just like when you we wiped your fleet on Saturday with our 23 versus your 40 something to include 8 BBs 2 falcons 2 Scorps and a Rook.
As I said in my post we've gotten our asses kicked plenty of times. Suck it up and take your loss. Maybe your FC will think twice before he hotdrops again because you better believe we are ready for them
Oh, and even if it were 18 kills a piece which it sooo wasnt lmao the Thanny and the Dread kills were valued well over the cost of the ships we lost in our fleet so yea, not an isk counter, but dont try to pitch the fight as even when it was nothing of the sort.
GF and all, but dont twist and contort the engagement to make yourself sleep better. |

It was indeed 3 carriers and my mistake, reading the related kill read out on our kb, I counted 4 instead of three, but im afraid to say that it really was 35 (became 35 after all kills were logged in) in total to 49 Amarr, so your number crunching is as bad as mine.... Or we can blame the kill board for bad math??? Battle Summary for Auga, 04:59 - 05:38 Friendly (35) Hostile (49)

Im not disputing the ending numbers. As was stated both sides had reinforcements pouring in from all over. I know that our militia chat was flooded with capital letters (pun?) screaming that we had enemy caps on the field so the numbers may have infact been more at the end of the battle. When we jumped in though we had 31 in Gang.
Im definitely not one to let number crunching ruin a good fight so Ill stfu and leave it at that. I look forward to more fights like this, and respect to all who fought in the battle.
