Yes I know, we are just nubs nubbin' it up in low sec.
Anyways, the Amarr Militia managed to kill a dread and a carrier in Auga around 530 EVE time. Great fight and thanks to all those Amarrians who kept coming back in ship after ship.
Heretics, you've been hotdropping our BS gangs on a consistent basis. I'm glad we finally got an even playing field on which to engage them. GF. |

Was good fun, a great fight, something to the tune of 50 minutes long if I remember. Props on finally putting up a fight and having the perseverance to hold the field. You can't win every fight and this time I was aware we'd fight outnumbered, we did it anyway. The pheonix went down in a blaze of glory as it should have, taking a number of battleships with it. It's lifeline was something over a year and the pilot said himself he had no regrets. The carrier would have tanked ages longer but disconnected mid-fight, offline for 5 minutes and well, you know that story.
Both will be replaced, nothing crippling. We put what we're willing to lose on the field. We all said it afterwards:
Good fight. |

Awesome battle, and a great way to end the awesome night that we had. What I dont appreciate is being called primary and having to lose 5 damn ships in that fight. Vlad is a former corpmate of mine and we laughed it up after the fight in a private convo. Mirrorgod, thanks for bringing the fight brother. You may have been outnumbered initially but your 2 Carriers were on the field for a good 5 minutes before I dropped my first one in the battle. Vlad then jumped out to swap for his Dreanaught so DPS was definitely with you heh heh. Lag was bad so can definitely sympathize with your Carrier pilot.
This is definitely a more even playing field with 0utbreak gone and although a part of me misses those crazy doodes I look forward to more fights like this. |

That is correct. Our fleet had been dominating the sector for a good 2 hours with approx 9 kills in that time when Minmitar started to muster forces. We interrupted them by jumping in local and killing a small chunk of their support. (Rapier, and Retribution) One of them joked in local that if we wanted a fight we would jump out to let them mass up and come to us for the engagement. Remembering all too well the last time we did that they hotdropped 8 Caps on us, I knew what we were in store for, but I was "Semi" ready for it with a Carrier of my own on standby. Still we were bored, and wanted a fight so we left the system.
Sure enough after approx 15 mins the minnies started to show up on the Kourmonen gate in Auga. I had my fleet prepositioned, and once they landed we jumped in. Upon the jump they lit a cyno and jumped in 2 Carriers (Smog890 Thanatos and Vlad Cetes in a Chimera) After about 5 minutes we dropped our first Carrier onto the field. The battle commenced for approx 10 mins more when Vlad jumped out in his Carrier, and cynoed back in with his Phoenix. It was touch and go at first, but with the addition of 1-2 more Carriers from Slackers we started to hold the field.
The fight was indeed approx 1 hour long with reinforcements pouring in from both sides. In the end, heavy losses were taken by both sides, but we held the field, and looted. Its nothing to brag about because we have walked away with bloody noses on numerous occassions againt the forces of the Minmitar, but for anyone to say that 0utbreak leaving Minmitar has had no effect on their overall fleet capability would need to get their heads examined. |

The premise behind dropping the dread was to kill the single chimera that had been dropped. We had a support gang being repped by the triaged carrier. Carrier DC'd and couldnt keep our BS's repped so they died fast, the carrier was also soaking the hostile fire allowing dread to destroy battleships (3-4 volleys for most). With the carrier DC'd and support gone, dread was primary and began to take neuting. Result, dread dies, carrier dies when he reconnects.

We dropped in the carriers for rep support because we were totally outnumbered and they were bs heavy. 33 of us and 49 of them. They also had 4 carriers on the field, not 3, vs the one carrier we had and the swap out for the dread. As always stories are conflicting and the heat of battle makes for some *******s and a few facts. I lost four ships and most of my corp went back in to the fight with everything we could muster. Props to both sides for not giving up and coming back time and again till they finally ran outta ships to die.
Our kill board reads 18 loses on both sides, so thats not bad (thats with heretics involved in kills, dont know the final outcome) Considering how heavily outnumbered we were, we are wearing our loses with pride and the fight was worth more than any of the loses. We were so bored we actually intended leaving faction war.
I talked with slackers afterwards and wished them good fights all round. It was well worth undocking for and this is what makes the game worth playing.
Vlad got a nice shiney new Dreadnaught out of it from me (much love sweety) and its even an upgrade on his Phoenix, so hes over the moon.
I've also got the parts in the oven to replace our carrier so we basically lost nothing out of it but some time in the cooking.
Would definitely do it again

We had 4 carriers? I guess one didn't want in on the dread and carrier KMs: Carrier Dread
I'm not smacking, but it was 3 carrier vs dread/carrier. And 49? The gang that jumped into Auga had 33 people in it. More joined, but there's were plenty of red bumps as well. GF and see you around. Maybe you'll be a little more careful of cynoing in caps everytime we bring out BS fleets, like you did about an hour preceding the discussed engagement.

It was actually 3 Amarr carriers... as opposed to you having 2 carriers on the field for 5 whole minutes before we jumped just 1 of ours. And lol at the 49 vs. 33... we had at most 20something battleships..and nowhere near a gang of 49. So please get over these stories that you were outnumbered and valiantly fought off the Amarr blob. In all honesty, you guys are the ones that always hotdrop on any gang without any reprocusions.... now deal with the loss.
If anything it was Amarr that was outnumbered. Again really good fight Amarr.

Also, you DO realize we managed to jump into you guys outnumbered 30 v 40 on Saturday with having way more ecm on your side without jumping caps in, right?
And any time I've been on last week we were taking it to you guys pretty good.

Nice try. But no. My fleet jumped into you with 31, and we didnt jump our Carrier, mind you CARRIER- 1 Carrier until you hotdropped 2 Carriers onto our fleet. At most we fielded 3 Carriers. You werent outnumbered in this battle, just like when you we wiped your fleet on Saturday with our 23 versus your 40 something to include 8 BBs 2 falcons 2 Scorps and a Rook.
As I said in my post we've gotten our asses kicked plenty of times. Suck it up and take your loss. Maybe your FC will think twice before he hotdrops again because you better believe we are ready for them
Oh, and even if it were 18 kills a piece which it sooo wasnt lmao the Thanny and the Dread kills were valued well over the cost of the ships we lost in our fleet so yea, not an isk counter, but dont try to pitch the fight as even when it was nothing of the sort.

It was indeed 3 carriers and my mistake, reading the related kill read out on our kb, I counted 4 instead of three, but im afraid to say that it really was 35 (became 35 after all kills were logged in) in total to 49 Amarr, so your number crunching is as bad as mine.... Im not disputing the ending numbers. As was stated both sides had reinforcements pouring in from all over. I know that our militia chat was flooded with capital letters (pun?) screaming that we had enemy caps on the field so the numbers may have infact been more at the end of the battle. When we jumped in though we had 31 in Gang.
Im definitely not one to let number crunching ruin a good fight so Ill stfu and leave it at that. I look forward to more fights like this, and respect to all who fought in the battle.

Always one or two morons?? !!
Heretics has never been in any Militia but Minmatar and we have been there from the start. Its amazing the smack that manages to come out of peoples mouthes after one decent battle where amarr finally prevail.
We had the decency to good fight it and appreciate they finally undocked instead of having their carriers on the undock point in kamela day in and day out until finally we gave up entering system.
Obviously some of the Amarr havent been around since the beginning and forget about the huge Amarr blobs with CVA backing them up and RATS picking people off for them. They just like to remember the past few weeks where they didnt have anything to throw at us and Minmatar were bored to tears and one sighting bought 60 people to a system just for the taste of a kill.
I tried to be gracious about all of this, but quite frankly your constant desire to e-peen and negate previous history for chest fluffing now, leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. Trannydor must have gotten to all of you where, you cant let a good fight remain a good fight, he/she/it is incapable of even wishing it on its oponents.
There are some pretty good people on the Amarr side o/ Slackers, good on you for having some decency and common sense, no wonder you fly corp only, I can see why now.

I don't know how your why you're bringing our tranny mascot into this, because he hasn't been around for a couple of days anyway.
Still, after flying and FCing for the Amarr militia, they might not all be top rated PvPers, but they are competent and follow orders, and the new peeps are learning quite fast.
Personally, I have only been around for about three weeks since coming back from a long EVE break, but what I've seen in FW has been a complete mixed bag. We won a big fight the other day, and the first real capital engagement of FW that I know of (and definitely in that area), and that DOES deserve some celebration. Yeah, up till recently, we've lost quite a few engagements, but the tide is beginning to turn. 0utbreak has left, and now the Mimitar militia is vulnerable. How many engagements have the Mimitar won since 0utbreak left? One? Two?
Before 0utbreak left, Mimitars would blob the hell out of the Amarr militia, now it looks like the opposite is happening. Mimitars tried to compensate by bringing in capitals, and Amarr militia rallied and responded in kind.
Good fights are looking to be had now that the numbers are more even. Both sides have experienced and inexperienced pilots alike.
And please, don't complain about Amarr militia not engaging a fleet 2 to 3 times the size of their fleet. Mimitars don't undock and engage a fleet 2 to 3 times their size either. It's just common tactical sense, everything being equal.

I remember well the tactics of the Minnie blobs, I was in them for over 2 months with KS.
"Hey guys Angel has a fleet of 25 coming through this gate. Our 40 isn't enough so let's cyno in caps too!"
TS and militia chat was a constant "OMG Amarr are pansies. Stupid Amarr just dock. Why won't they engange us in our 50 man MG blob? Why are they so afraid of Outbreak?"
Our constant rampaging through Amamake is a sign of a more stable, fair battlefield. Should be interesting.

" then when u reach the limit seven times u find there is a limit within that limit and u try to push this"
Ur ambitions in FW should be to become very adapt at all forms of combat. U have the best training ground eve has to offer. No bubbles > t1 cruisers, frigs bc all have a very good role. Do not hesitate to think using caps is a bad idea. U will need this experience if u do anything pvp related in 0.0
If u find an outnumbered situation this has been put there to test u. Will u find a way to break it? or will u come here to say that u are outnumbered. Only one path is the way of the space ninja.
to me it looks like the the Amarr have had good training.... mimes have only good things to learn and the pendulum will equal out some more.
" u can only get smarter by playing a smarter opponent"
Good luck and enjoy >

sush about blobbing, it is war, war is not going to be fair, we will not play by amarr rules and not give into there demands of them saying if you are not going to fight with == numbers and same size ships then we will stay docked, wars war get over it amarr we will blob if that wins us the fight, but you finally blobbed and managed to win this time how come your not fighting even with us, always compaining we dont... lol

It's amusing the way the KB "related kills" thing messes stuff up. When I look at my stats it shows I lost 4 ships, but when I look at the related kills it shows 2 losses and an unknown.
The fight was long enough that there was quite a bit of churn as people lost ships and went back for others.
I'd specifically like to congratulate the Amarr squadron that was in charge of cleaning up the small fry. I can attest you did a bang up job. I was usually dead withing seconds of getting a tackle. Must remember that for future fleet fights...

Before 0utbreak left, Mimitars would blob the hell out of the Amarr militia, now it looks like the opposite is happening. Mimitars tried to compensate by bringing in capitals, and Amarr militia rallied and responded in kind.

btw, thanks for using a '0' instead of 'O' in our name . We love you all, minmatar and amarr alike. Thanks for a fun chapter in 0utbreak's history. Who knows, we may return one day...Until then, keep teachin those young'ns how to better killing machine. I'd like to see them in 0.0 soon . -----------------------------------------------

Your attempt to negate the loss of a faction fit (albeit not deadspace) dread, and a carrier based on the simple fact you have replacements is comical. It's still isk, the capital program you use, the resources to build it, and the mods on it.
Nothings free, even if someone donates it to you, it still has value to them as they hold it, and when killed, it's gone.

I did fraps most of the battle, it shows our fleet count at 32 when the main fleet jumped from Kourmonen into Augu at 4:57am, i know some more came to join after that. we were met by 16 hostiles on the gate with another 7 hostiles jumping from Kourmonen into Augu write behind us. As i only had WT in overview i can not say when exactly our carriers came in, as i was zoomed out trying to cope with lag, but heres a brief brakedown of the battle after going through my fraps
4:58 Hostile Chimera and thanatos were cyno'd in. 5:03 Chimera disengages. 5:04 several hostiles had warped off leaving only 6 + the Thanatos -My Brutix was popped at this time so i left to get another ship
5:05 i was jumping out and noticed our Chimera was finally there - The hostile Thanatos was alone with only a purifier 100km+ away
5:10 I returned, hostile fleet numbered 23 including the Thanatos
5:11 A Neutral gang jumped in
5:14 My thorax went pop
5:23 I jumped back in, there were 10 hostiles including a Thanatos and Phoenix -the neutral gang were gone, (think they engaged minma, dont know though)
5:26 Thanatos was in 20% armor, and primaried
5:28 Thanatos went pop
5:32 Wraithstorm our FC on comms "guys dont leave me out here with my d**k in the air, reinforce be tonight, please come back out ok"
5:34 Rift Torpedo I belonging to Vlad Cetes hits you. doing 3891.6 damage.
5:35 not surprising my domi went pop. - at this point it seemed most of the hostile fleet were 50+km off the gate and not just the E-warfare ships, only the Phoenix and a Rupture were on the gate. -while in my pod i counted 3 friendly carriers.
by the time i had returned in my 4th ship the Phoenix had been popped and the hostile fleet had retreated, we held the battlefield.

This is definitely a more even playing field with 0utbreak gone and although a part of me misses those crazy doodes I look forward to more fights like this.
hm if only they knew your eve historyand capabilities as a fc they should have left you alive lol

Funny, You seem to know who I am and all about my "history" yet I have never heard of you. My capabilities as an FC? Well bud if I suck, and STILL managed to kill the first minmitar Capitals since the beginning of FW then exactly what does that say about the capabilities of your fellow brethren for dying to me...A shitty FC?
Im sorry I dont know whether to take your post as flame or what, but if you are somehow being nice then HF and all that bud.

BAAWWWWWW I WOST SOME CAPITOLS F U GUISE DIS GAME SUX WE GON GO PLAY TEH WOW >( !!!!1111one oen
Were you looking for something more attune to this? Fact is we lost ships. It's a loss but our pilots are flying the caps because they can afford to lose them.
Anyway, epic epic epic fight happened with amarr last night, I'm willing to bet we emptied out the amarr's entire stock of battleships in kamela for that timezone last night. I called primaries for 50 minutes straight, we totaled up 26 battleship kills in all, losing 12. Did nearly 5 bil in damages comprised of only subcapital ships. You can find the battle report on minmatar-militia.org's killlboard and I'll have a public writeup done soon (will be on heretic-nation.com) I can honestly say it was the most enjoyable fight I've ever been a part of and it was an honor to command it.
