To be on a monday its still excellent, seeing the record are taken at peak time on peak day, which is about Sunday 7pm uk time. (GMT)
And it also confirms that the usual doomsayers that have been making threads all summer that the population have fallen, where nothing bud summer adjustments - as usual!

It may be monday but it's also Labor Day in the US (and I dunno wherever else), which could explain it. |

I'm going to be impressed if we get to 40k
a) without trial accounts (including Isk sale spammers) b) without macro / RMT Isk farmers
Until then, meh, whatever.

I did not know that, so that is very possible indeed.

CCP have confirmed during Leipzig trials that they now have 245.000 paying subscribers. Maybe still "meh" compared to WoW, very very good in total.
And I dont want EVE to be WoW anyway. Too many idiots there, and we have allready started to see the effect from these kinds of player who have come to EVE..

I don't really care about the subscription numbers CCP publishes, and they are as worthless as the current online numbers as long as they are accepting RMT farmers.
And the investors of CCP would probably love to see the revenue of WoW ;) At least they managed to drag Vivendi out of the deep shit.
There are plenty of things in WoW that would be very beneficial to EvE, starting with a intuitive, comprehensive UI, lag free environment and other goodies ;)

I imagine CCP has called an emergency team meeting in response to your post. Right now there are probably devs all over CCP HQ slapping themselves in the head saying, "Lag free environment! Why didn't we think of that?"

40000 accounts, not 40000 people. Lots of people have and use alts, and don't forget the macros. Just saying. |

I'll agree that WoW does have a few things that would be good in eve like Custom UI's but CCP are only a small company with a big dream and it takes time to get there, there only real thing tbh is that, are peoples waiting period longer than CCPs output level.
Which with the numbers on TQ rising... you can take a guess.

Yes, CCP does have investors, like any other company out there ;)
And claiming that they need "slack" due to being a small company is donkey poodoo. It's not about getting favourism due to being a small company on the market, but to offer the best service in your market niche. CCP got away so far with it as they are in a niche that has zero competitors and the competition in the other areas are really poor (see AoC for the latest example).

They do offer the best service for there market niche, name me a few other single server MMOs so I can rate them vs EvE. As far as i'm aware there isn't any (but tbh i've not looked just running off the top of my head) so i'm puzzled on how you think they don't when if i'm correct above, there isn't anything to rate them against. |

I don't know why people think on one of the last if not the last holiday when the weather is going to be warm in the US, that US players would be inside, especially considering how many places do labor day parades, cookouts...etc. I'd be amazed if the US evening numbers aren't a little lower than normal tonight. |

Well the point is they are playing outside their primetime cos they are not at work. Their tz will prob be lower than usual in fact. |

That can't be. Impossible. 40k?
Pff - not even close. You meant 4000 I guess?
After all EVE is dying - I read a message saying so (in 2004, 05, 06, 07 and last week) saying so.
