Hey guys. I've got an alt I want to get started on R&D missions and was wondering if you get additional research points for each daily mission or if there is only one daily mission available each day. Any help is appreciated.

I do believe the rate of missions is 20 hours, so yeah, a bit more than once per day. |

Question-I started R&D finally today after alot of training :) Ok I read about doing a mission but when I went to agent all he asked was about researching skill
Ok he is doing that but I am not getting a mission Does mission come after research is done
And what am I gaining from agent researching skill besides raffle type ticket Do I gain anything on skill agent training... Thank You

Something that I am not clear on.
If you have lets say won the lottery and a bpo has been offered to you what happens to your current RP. Do you loose them all, a proportion or do they carry on as nothing has happened. ?

You loose all your rp when you accept a bpo, and have to talk to the agent again and restart your research. You only loose the rp from the agent that made you the offer, others are not affected.

you need to have a skill that the research agent uses i.e. Plasma physics - then you can start a project.
You will get offered missions every 12-24 hours afterwards, you can choose not to do these - if you do them then you get a bonus of 1 days RP.
Some time later [anything from 1 day to 12 months or more], wether you do missions for him or not, he will send you a breakthough mail - you then can choose to accept it by going to your agent and acepting.

Can anyone tell me like a GM is there a certain amount of time that goes bye when a raffle is done on r&d agents
I have seen this question asked but answered as no one knows
I am asking like once a week month seems year lol

What is the benefit of doing a research with a level 3 or 4 agent if accumulating more pts a day is not a factor in term of ahving a better chance to get a bp ??

The raffle is to some extend random - no one know when the agent will offer a given bp. But I guees some time limit is involved.

More research points is the only factor - each reach point is a lottery ticket, the more you got the higher the chance.

Field multiplier doesnÆt relate to the agents lvl of the agent but merely the field. The field multiplier is in place since the bpÆs drop into more then one category so more the multiplier the more specialized the field is supposed to be (less bpÆs in the field but higher chance to get it over the different fields).
So the formula should still be correct

Does this mean the well is dried up in that category and I have to make the hard choice of dropping those points and starting over or trying to stick with it and hope that something new will come along Soon(TM)? Having ships there removes the need for the relatively rare Starship Engineering skills. Having so many things there removes the need for the skillpack descriptions we all used to "specialise" what we were researching in. I don't often rant/whine, but I think this deserves some attention. Especially since all this was added into the Mech Eng queue after most of us had started projects in other fields, thinking "ooh, it does ships, but why would I want a tech II hull repairer?". |
