i bought my nightmare yesterday and today i want to shoot some pirtes but in germany its now 22:08 an i have school tomorrow
iam not angry but iam realy ****ed off

OK CCP need to pull there head out of there ass.. We are paying for this game... now at 4 hour after the posted time.. i think they need to remburse the players with something.. Again CCP pull your head out and get your stuff strait. I know we rather have it working properly, but a little more attention to detail when setting up patch scheduling would probably make everyone happy 
With that said keep up the great work CCP we still support u :)

With that said keep up the great work CCP we still support u :)
How about you pretend you were sleeping, and simply adjust your play schedule.
Better yet, realize it's only a game, not a lifestyle and do something else for a few extra hours like talk to a real person.
Just sayin'

How about a free in game item? How about double XP for the next 24 hours??
Oh wait, this isn't Everquest!
Just imagine if CCP (or whoever) would have to reemburse for down time. FedEX and UPS don't give free shipping to customers that get their package late.

Yes, we should expect ccp to have *TWO* super computers on hand, one to run, the other to develop on. They owe us that much </sarcasm>
Given the complexity of such a system and how many players are logged in at one time, people need to just relax and let them do their work. There's only one machine running this, so there's no way to have the downtime happen OTHER than what's going on. Y'all are sounding like little only children.

bah annoyed just for not being able to fly your new ship.
I not only have a skill finished. But to realy make the extra special super super downtime to fix a few bugs and add no real content other than missions realy irksome
I spent all sunday night stuck in jita with a freighter full of fuel to refuel my research pos which runs out of fuel tonight ! and i'm still 2 jumps away.......

heres a way ccp could refund us.
give the people that constantly whine about delayed restart times a 1 week ban.
Granted it wouldnt be a refund for them, but people who whine on a forum are going to be as equally annoying in game, if not more.
So its more of a refund for sensible, adult people

Come on peoples! Give CCP a break, When I started eve in 2003 (using an alt so you donÆt flame me forever!) eve was one unstable game, but CCP have continued to improve the up time and stableness of eve to the point that only during updates does it take a little longer than expected. Players have it easy now, back in the early days it was like Jita lag everywhere!
CCP are doing a fine job keeping such a time consuming and complex game online 23 hours a day 7 days a week. And rest assured, your hard earned cash is being well spent on the best programmers and technicians, would you put a brain dead dude in the coding seat of your multimillion a month game? I thought not!
CCP wonÆt even look at posts like this one, they will be too busy working on the patch, the ISD's may take a look but only raise an eyebrow at some of the spamming that appears on here during patch updates. And if CCP did reply they would accused of not working on the patch hard enough! Let them be and youÆll be rewarded with flying around again in no time.
Most of the reasons people get so angry that eve is offline is cos we're all hooked! We need our eve fix! So my recommendation is, go grab a drink, put on a dvd and donÆt sit and watch eve, as they say a watched kettle never boils.
CCP, youÆre doing a grand job and I hope you will continue to supply us with the best and most diverse game on the market.
P.s Any leaves... can i have your stuff?

Im sure they told us to put on a skill which takes a long time a few days ago for when they are down which is why i made sure this morning before they went down the skill im training takes over 2 days just incase they didnt come back online when they said lol

Actually, they do provided certain situations are met. When something is supposed to arrive via overnight delivery and it doesn't arrive until the third business day, they will reimburse the difference if you ***** at them.
Having said that, what does it mean that you don't play often enough to have realized that there was a patch today, your two accounts both had skills that completed during a regular DT, and not only do you not care that you've lost 20k SP already, but you can't even be bothered to read the damn patch notes?

That is why they have test servers running on the network.. :) and Yes I have deployed patches on Large scale networks.
PACAF USAF :) True sometimes problems pop up, Thats what you test servers for( EVE Beta servers ) :) |

i'm not too botherd about the skill tbh - i have enough sp not to notice a few hours loss
Its the Pos i'm concerned about some of the prints had been in for nearly 30 days and i'm sure with no power they will be just ejected.
And I did try to get there sooner but Jita decided it liked me and wouldn't let me leave until i was moved by a GM. This ruining my schedule for the night. |

yeah, it started starting up about 15 mins ago, and then went down again.
I know this as I have to have a constant ping to the server to avoid being disconnected by a crap ISP that I have.
Let's hope the servers stay around this time. |

The quantity of fixes and features in this patch is simply staggering, and I'm not at all surprised or put off by the extension of downtime. When I saw they only wanted 6 hours, I was quite surprised and never really expected it to be done that fast.
Despite my displeasure with the draconian non-reimbursement of ships lost due to client-side crashes in the Premium client (which have cost me hundreds and hundres of millions of isk) I think overall EVE is the best game out there, or I wouldn't spend hours and hours playing it, and I think CCP is doing a marvelous job with updates and fixes. How would you all feel if CCP just stopped development, never fixed anything, and just milked it passively for what they could get?
To all complainers: quit now, and can I have your stuff?

Okay. All comparisons to other MMO's downtimes is competely and utterly irrelevent. Eve has nothing to do with other MMOs.
Users are users, they don't CARE about the process involved in patching 'complex systems' and shouldn't have to know about it.
I think it's fair to say CCP are allowed to make mistakes, but tonight they've promised about three different deadlines for the server to be back up and met NONE of them.
To the person that says they don't promise 99.999% uptime, no they don't, which is a good job because they don't achieve anything even near that.
And to those people that use stupid stupid reasoning such as "if you dont like it dont play", well, that's fine, if you didn't pay your subscription in advance! |
