I have no problems with them fixing problems but give us an accurate uptime and quit this last minute adding on time crap. I mean come up it was supposed to be up hours ago! Everytime the deadline comes up it's another hour or this time another half hour!

why didnt ccp call 24h downtime, apply the patch and have some beers till next morning? instead of fooling the comunity.... |

Yeah I agree that the constant additions to estimates is a pain. We all appreciate the complexities of implementing updates, CCP might want to look into the 'Scotty' way of giving estimates, that way we'd all be pleasantly suprised when updates finish early ;). But seriously its difficult plan around inaccurate times. |

I just can't be arsed now. If they don't have the balls to let us know they've f****d up the update or give us any decent idea on how long it's gonna take, they're obviously not going to give players anything for them ****ing us about, and then as well as that they go and remove the 90 day time cards and leave the 60 days ones at the same price as the 90 day ones.
There is only so much players will take before leaving |

Actually I did manage to get in, it's running fine. Started another skill training session, and got out so the whiners can have more bandwidth to fly about. |

Hehe, all is good. I get a kick out of people that take themselves and life too seriously. It tore myself and my family up and still does; we still talk about it on Thanksgiving when we all get together, but the day AFTER was notable for the sheer *quiet* from not a plane around. If you know anyone's that been near jfk or LaGuardia, they'd understand. It just added to the surreal and strange unacceptable events. You can't put into words the depth of oddness of that sensation when you first noticed *exactly* what was missing around you, and it was the sound of a plane that you take for granted.
Oh, and the best chinese food is found on Mott Street if you are ever there ;).

So the patch took longer than expected...
So what... its free... it will probably be 99% working 1% screwed.
What other online game can boast that, given the size and complexity of the game itself?
People who complain about the time they have to wait over the stipulated restart time, obviously have too much spare time (or no life) to be loitering at the Eve portal just itching to be the first one in the game.
Are there prizes for being first? Its just a game guys and gals and CCP work their azzez off to keep it up and running no matter what. Read a friggin book while you wait next time.
If we learned from our mistakes... i would be a genius by now.... |
