Oh look! Another assinine patch that only serves the PVP players in the game. Miners get screwed again with electronics stopping the drones from protecting an upprotected mining barge, which the ignorant programers in Iceland convieniantly did not put high slots for guns, and minimal mid slots for shields and even left only 2 low slots on the biggest mining barge so only 2 cargo extensions can be added. A year ago I trained and could put out more than 5 drones at a time, then .... yup you guessed it, they put out a patch so I had to train even more to add rigs to use more drones. Now our only protection, our drones are limited again to being affected by electronics with no added protection for mining barges. Why don't the people running this game just come out and say it. players that want to mine , GET THE HELL OUT OF THE GAME!
Mining is a crucial part of the game. Without it, there will be no resources to manufacture all the ammunitions consumed or to build the ships. As for the game is made for players to HAVE TO work together, save that crap for the communists. Check the records and see how many real mom & pop corps there are out there that have only 1 or 2 players in them. This is due to the fact that others just cannot be trusted. I point to the new rule banning players from joining corps and leaving just to get an advantage of surprise for attacking. I have had players join my corp and try to say I had to run things their way and even threaten my corp because I let someone in they didn't like. I have had to tell them to leave or kick them out because of their actions. My corp, my rules! So I believe the programers and people running this game should rethink their PVP or nothing crap and get with what over 1/2 of the players out here want. Fair play for all occupations in Eve! |

I disagree that it's useless. A lot of bug fixes and other qol changes got meted out. Thanks for these devs.

Though I agree that most if not all mining vessels have crap grid, weak tanks, are painfully slow and have limited drone space if at all. Mining as a profession has gone downhill due to the Drone regions, crap t1 rat drops, swarms of macrominers, and still crappy ships.
The fact that people mine in Rohks and other BS has always, and still, highlights the need for a hazrd duty miner.

I am sure CCP thanks you for failing to note all the bug fixes, patches, and changes to items to alleviate confusion that they did just so you could complain about one aspect. /facepalm.

This patch serves PvP players? You realise that this patch screws over PVP players more than any previous patch, and that it give every stinking carebear close to 100% protection in high sec, right?

It's not another useless patch because it screws over miners (which it doesn't), it's another useless patch because it revolves entirely around grammatical, spelling, and localization issues.

I've found that the game is fun to me whether I'm actively playing - missions, mining, shooting people, etc. - or just using it as an RP platform. The one thing that keeps me coming back, and even compelled me to start over after deleting a character with 33m SP, is the community. The people make this game enjoyable, and they also make it less than enjoyable at times.
Regardless of what happens in the patches, CCP can't nerf friends.

Hmm, I mine for hours by myself in a barge. Never had a lick of problems. If this drone change bothers you, I have to say that I don't think you are qualified to be a miner.

I am doubting I would be considered a carebear. What this patch does do in one aspect of PvP (suicide ganking) is it takes your free lunch away from you and makes you have to plan, think, and work a bit harder for your lunch. I don't agree with everything done in the patch, but I do agree that the virtually no-risk suicide gank had to be eliminated and I have profited from it myself. When I can go up to any hualer and gank him in my fully insured ship, get all my insurance back, all his loot and fittings that dropped and still have really good standings, and be far richer with so little risk... something is broken.
I think your upset because your free ride isn't free anymore. You have screamed many times in other threads that suicide ganking has been killed but it hasn't. You can still gank someone. The cold harsh world you love is still cold and harsh... the difference is, the cold and harsh just landed on you as well. Thats the truth of your whines. You wanted eve on easy mode for your ganks and now, it's not so easy anymore and you need to pick and choose a bit more discriminatly to make your fat profits.

let me lay it out in easy mode for you....
1. You used to gank with little or no consequences or cost.
2. You got fat and lazy from doing it, not to mention rich.
3. CCP ganked your "Ganking on Easy Mode" and made it a bit riskier for you now.
4. Your whining and trolling because your a fat lazy slob who got his easy ride taken away from him.

Are you serious or are you trolling mate? Look at the patch notes... High sec ganking just got majorly nerfed... in what way does that not benefit miners carrying valuable mins? New mission stuff... new lots of stuff... this patch should be named the carebear patch.  As a PVPer, I'm not gonna moan about it, but sheesh... to take something that nearly entirely helped you and then claim it did nothing but hurt you? What are you on and where can I get some?
