From patch notes: "Over 70 new rookie missions and around 100 new missions for all levels and Empire factions have been added."
Now, for those of you still not familiar with how missions in EVE work... a warning.
ALL NEW MISSIONS START OUT AT THE LOWEST END IN LP/ISK REWARDS
What this means is that any missions you haven't seen before (i.e. the ones newly introduced) will have a deceptively low reward, making you think it's an easy mission. In some cases, it might actually be an easy mission, but for all you know, it could be the most difficult mission in the game for that level. You just can't possibly know.
So, whenever you see one of those new missions this week or even early next week... be extra careful even if the rewards are very low... you might have some unpleasant surprises coming your way.

Feel free to post names/level of new missions in here, just for reference's sake... maybe even make a guess on how hard they actually are ?

Buzz kill = crazy hard....unless you are a drone boat (luckly i was)
It spawns a crapload of frigs for a few waves (we are talking 40-50 frigs at least if you trigger it wrong)
After awhile it starts spawning cruisers and battle cruisers
the last wave or 2 = battleships while you are still fighting off all the frigs....its pretty damn annoying
Mordus Folly 1 of 2
Easy as hell
the second part was ******ed......you better have a damn good tank or you will have to warp out a lot

From memory of previous occasions this also means they come in as 'easy' missions on the mission stack, so you are much more likely to be offered them as first missions from a new agent than with the agent you have been running missions for day in and day out for years.
I speed ran group missions yesterday for a few hours with not a hair of anything new. Switching agents after DT, I'll let you know if that was more successful.

Interview with Arend Stuhrman: said the 100 new missions will be deployed in the Empyrean 1.2 patch in October.
Unless this is another bunch of missions, the "new" missions mentioned in the patch notes may have been delayed.

So Akita what happens if none runs them?
I would take them and let them rot for a week to teach the adjuster what we deem appropriate rewards - but I would much prefer others to do that -grin-.

If nobody runs them they'd stay in the "crap rewards" area a looong time. Accept them but don't touch them for a couple of days, THEN finish them, and watch the rewards skyrocket if everybody would be doing the same thing (but they won't, so, meh).
They'll slowly go up as more people get them, and in a couple of weeks they'll be where they should be.

Mordu's Folly (Spelling error? Should it not be Mordus Folly?)
=====Part 1 of 2 =====
Faction: Mordus Mission type: Encounter (Get: Encrypted Ship log (1.0m3)) Space type: Deadspace (mwd does not work) Damage dealt: Kin/therm Recommended damage dealing: kin/therm Recommended ships: Maelstrom, Raven Difficulty: Medium Bounties: 6.5 million ISK

===Warp in at 50km from hostiles===
Whole stage aggro short after warp-in.
3x Frigates 5x Cruisers 5x BS
1x Industrial
When the last cruiser was eliminated, it triggered a spawn of
5x Cruisers
When the last of the "Sequestior" BS had been eliminated it triggered a spawn of
2x BS
which when the last of them where killed triggered a spawn of
4x BS (Phanti, 300k)
Item dropped of a Sequestior wreck.
State industrial: Dropped nothing
==Structures== The cans contained nothing of value. ( Singular T1 module ) State industrial: Dropped nothing

The Wildcat Strike
Faction: Drones (It seems) 2 Pockets (including warp in) Lots of frigate/cruiser sized drones, some BCs, no BS. All Drones are called Reprogrammed Mining Drone.
They appear to be doing damage similar to Rogue Drones.
First pocket has 1 respawn after you kill everything, overall very low dmg incoming, best results with EM damage. Second pocket: Atacking the group of smaller drones aggroes the center group, dmg isn't too bad either.
No bounties except for some sentry guns, loot is standard drone loot.
Ship used: CNR (1 Invuln, 1 Kin, 1 Therm, 1 EM, 1 XLSB, 1 SBA)

Also just done wildcat strike, pretty much as Hanneshannes wrote, nothing to get excited about, in fact be more at home as a lvl 3 mission.
One thing i thought was strange was the lack of roids to mine in it as supposed to be miners on strike, no point going on strike they had nothing more than 4 veldspar rocks to do in any case !
Overall a poor mission with nothing more than odd bc and cruisers and frigs, no bounties, poor loot and nothing to get out of it at all apart from one mission closer to a storyline.

No aggro on warp-in.
The supply depot has a lot of hp making blitzing impossible.

3x Cruisers

We did "Smash the Supplier" yesterday. Gallente Level 4 mission vs. Amarr Fleet and it was a lot of fun! To tell the truth I didn't have that much fun in a mission for ages! We were 3 people in BS and the Amarr fleet even made me worry a bit in my Abbadon monstertank. To tell the truth, something like that didn't happen to me for a long time So for the devs: if someone starts to cry and shout that the mission is to hard because he can't run it alone while afk: please don't change anything and keep it just the way it is now I really wish more mission would be like that!

Edited by: Vhiskey on 04/09/2008 14:27:28 just finished "Lights out" level 3.
i¦m sorry i cant report what kind of ships you have to kill cause i almost never look at it when doing lv3 missions.
start shooting the main structure (forgot the name, but its the one with the "good loot"-notifier in the name) and the enemies will spawn.
number of enemies: about 15-20. many (or most? or all?) named. its damn easy in a well fitted drake. set drones passive.
blitz: kill the lieutnant
structure loot (nice, big explosion btw ): a caldari shuttle bpc (1), 418 units of strontium clathrates (whats that?), 2260 units of mechanical parts, a 12th tier overseer¦s personal effects (whats that?), 905 units of caldari starbase charter (dunno what to do with them, can i sell them?)
all wrecks contain a tag. didnt shoot at other structures. no faction item
edit: as i fly for caldari it was vs. gallente

not sure (as ya know i'm still fairly new), but "MY SWEET PRIVATEER" is one of these new missions. it warns you that "you may need at least a cruiser or bring a group", but the gate will not let you take anything bigger than a BC!
to add you're going up against gallente cruisers and BCs. now the BCs must be using some tech-II armor reppers because it's a SLOW gring getting past them before they take my armor out. LOTS of warp out!
not engoying this at all in my prophecy!
sure would be nice if a 2nd missile launcher was added to my beloved prophecy!

It ms the more people do the missions SLOWLY the better the rewards get. Missions get better ISK/LP rewards if people are dying in them or taking days to turn them in.

did this as level 3 today warning says bring at least a BC and / or some friends... so warped in wit my drake and get 3 dominix with support and a gate killed all jumped and 4 dominix (one is the pirate you have to kill to get the head you should collect) nasty setup there are 2 dampener frigs a stasis tower and the chief privateer sucks your cap so you cant target stuff and you cant get close and when your finaly in range a cap dependent turret boat would be in deep deep trouble ....

yeah that's the one! damn hard mission to do that one. you can only complete it IF you're in a tech-II, super-pimped out BC. or you go in with a "real" fleet! got my corp mate to help out (he was the tank) and he lost his harbinger. so now i'm currently accepting donations towards a good cause!

The payout from a mission is adjusted based on statistics from players running them. Things like the average time the mission takes to complete. As the numbers change over time, so does the mission payout. This means that, with the exception of new missions, the payout from a mission is always a reliable indicator of the missions length and difficulty.
When a new mission is added to Eve, the payout for it starts at the lowest rate for that level and type of mission. Then as accurate stats are collected, the payout moves to a more appropriate one for the length and difficulty of that mission.

On L1-L3 it might be indicator. On L4 there are two kinds of missions - the good one that people farm for week which have maxed or almost maxed rewards and the crappy ones that are not worth farming and have variable but almost always low rewards as people blitz them. The new missions will not come close to the classic farmable ones unless people start to farm them (aka postpone completition) too.
All in all the autobalancer fails for L4 and new content as it punishes fun and rewards metagaming.

I did a Lvl1 mission yesterday (pays ~ 250K)
I forgot it's name but it is about a Galentte gate that needs to be blown up
It is 3/3 parts mission The 1st part was not working - I had to warp and scout - nothing happened.
After 3 attempts and posting on the forums no one had a clue)
I declined
2/3 was a courier for 23 jumps
3/3 Had to be done in a frig
You warp to 1st part - 15 Simple frigates to blast away Warp to 2 part - 30 simple frigates to blast (more tough) Warp to 3 - had like 30 Frigates plus 6 cruiser
Mission in my opinion suck
I fininshed it , but for 250 per part I think it is too much ...

roughly how long will it take for these statistics to be collected and the regular mission rewards to be set?
