The damage bonus only says rockets, so i am wondering if this is a typo or not. Does the bonus apply only to rockets or to light missiles as well? and if it is to rockets only, is there a reason behind this, other than to limit the roles of these ships if they wish to use their bonuses?

Khanid ships are pretty neat when you think about it. They generally get bonuses to short range launcher damage, cap recharge, and armor resists. Since they have both launcher and turret hardpoints, they can be fit reasonably well as either short-range MWD missile boats (cap recharge bonus becomes rather like a MWD bonus on a Thorax), as laser boats (cap recharge bonus becomes a laser cap reduction bonus), or as heavy tank boats (high resists + loads of cap to run reppers/hardeners). Very nice combinations from a single platform. -------------------- "I am hard pressed on my right; my centre is giving way; situation excellent; I am attacking." - Ferdinand Foch at the Battle of the Marne |

not arguing that they arent good, i was just hoping they could use the longer range launchers... would have made for a reli nice PvE toy outta either one, especially the vengance... but yeah, good stuff none the less

Hey energy efficient armour tank that frees up mids, cap bonus and no cap used by missiles.... you got to have some downsides.

You find them on the market, they are known as javelin. Concidering this lack of knowledge maybe you should just wait a day or two and think it over using Khanid ships.

People generally put t2 components on t2 ships, so as to optimize the usefulness of their new, fairly expensive, non-insurable combat ship. If you don't want to put t2 components on your interceptor/assault frig/interdictor, then you probably shouldn't even bother flying them.

i was specifically reffering to rockets, as u generally go thru LOTS of them... and its not like the primary purpose of this ship would be pvp... it would be a toy... mostly for duels, plexes, and helping newbs with missions and stuff...

The launchers are a drop in the bucket when you consider the total costs of buying and fitting a Vengeance. There is absolutely NO reason to not fit T2 rockets - its a 1x skill (the only missile that's a 1x skill) meaning someone with good learning skills can train from level 4 to spec 4 in maybe 3 days and recieve a substantail boost in DPS AND the utility of long range options.

apparently your not to good at reading, i said it was the ROCKETS, not the LAUNCHERS. when u spit one out every couple seconds, its not terribly economical to pay T2 ammo prices for something your just playing around in.
