The funny thing is, nothing will happen to him. He tries to get some guy to commit suicide, blames it on the bear, writes a small smoothly written apology, and gets 500 sheeple responses of "OH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH ITS OK IF THAT GUY DIES!".

How CCP reacts to this shows whether they condone this level of behavior or not. If they do, at least we'll know what folks can get away with in EVE. Pushing for RL violence and death will become an acceptable tactic for dealing with your enemy.

The Mittani prescribed SPECIFIC actions to provoke a SPECIFIC player to kill himself. Anyway, I don't know why people continue to defend him. The guy admitted his mistake and it is now in CCP's court.

Probably because he as many others are butt hurt that he won the CSM chair again, and that he had so much support in his campaign for it. There is also a large dose of jealousy in this thread because he got where he is because of the people putting him there, and are using this to try and get him deposed.

He made a bad joke, he crossed a fine line with it. He apologised for it. Just because you think something is funny doesn't mean that it is allright to do.

So by apologising and not trying to rationalize the bad thing he did he showed that he actually appears to have a spine. Its much harder to admit that you were wrong than to keep on defending your (or his) wrong position.

What he did was out of line. He got it, he acted on it. Stop defending him for his "bad joke". Take of your pink internet spaceship glasses and stfu before you make yourself look even more stupid.

You think CCP finds this funny? I don't know how much CCP budgeted for their PR, but if Mittani set back CCP's efforts by say $100k (a conservative estimate), that's somebody's job at CCP.

What makes me think the apology is just bull is that the goons are out in force doubling down on stupid in defense of cyber bullying.

The great leader says one thing, while the goons do another.

All that is left is he has to step down from the CSM totally now because of the actions of his goons at this point. Trying to spin the story has hurt him even more.

His follower ruined any chance for his apology to work as a get out of trouble card.

I believe it was a serious attempt to have somebody harrassed and to misuse the authority and visibility of the CSM chair position.Sure it happened on the alliance panel - but we're seen all the chair for life nonsense and didn't Alexander proclaim himself the "king of space" on that panel which is his code for csm chair?

I seriously doubt that asking for an elected representative to actually face the consequences of his actions can be in any way compared to "bullying".

The only problem I see with The Mittanni retaining any form of post on the CSM is that it took the viral responses of thousands of eve players to make him aware of his actions as he apparently saw nothing wrong with what he had done well before fanfest/bragging about said actions. I think CCP needs to take this into consideration. I think Mittani should resign entirely from the CSM as this is not representative of the great players of this game.

They can hardly do things like what they did with HB and then give Mittens less for something worse.

Frankly HB got a rough ride but it will cause a lot of uproar if Mittens gets less for doing worse things.

I also would like to point out that Alex never slurs or stumble about. At 3:20 seconds of this video the following was said:

Which is correct. His entire presentation was very understandable with no word slurring or anything that would be signs of being drunk. What everyone here is assuming is he must have been drunk to say what he did about making The Wis kill himself. You know Im wondering if other countries have had the recent high profile cases and publicity we have in the UK.

Cyberbullying, troll threads, hate websites, facebook sites,abusive tweets, teenage suicide have all been really high profile in the uk the last six months, Hell theres was a primetime BBC program about a radio presenter getting trolled and the legal cases surrounding that case. THe Muamba case, the Facebook troll. I think that publicity may have hardened some peoples attitudes over here but dont know if other countries have had the same kind of cases?
