If I can drop one other morsel into this thread without getting my head chewed off, here's a sample of a thread between enemies that so far hasn't been filled up with flames and smack talk. And considering the history between these two sides, that's something of an accomplishment.
It CAN be done -- "controversy with civility" is what some have called it. But both sides have to want it; just one spewage of verbal diarreah will ruin the whole thing (which, one could argue, is where the mods ought to come into play, but then one would be revealing one's naivete).

Being uninvolved in the Northern War, I greatly enjoyed Jade's long post. It was a great account and a good read.
Was it one-sided? Of course! It's the personal account of the CEO of one of the main corps warring against the PA! What'd you expect? But that's what made it so enjoyable: it was a personal account reflecting how one person had seen the war. It wasn't a news article.
That said, I was amazed at the shameful behaviour of the PA in allowing its pilots to be so immature as to dogpile something they didn't like in order to bury it.
You want to rebuff Jade's claims? WRITE YOUR OWN ACCOUNT OF THE WAR! I don't think anyone expects it to quite as long as Jade's, as she is somewhat long-winded, but make a nice long in-character post, instead of flaming the opposing side into oblivion. I'm sure all the other neutral observers will enjoy readin your account as much as we enjoyed reading Jade's post.

thYes, on spot about the read, but making an OOC disclaimer, and then, in same OOC disclaimer, state that this is actually very close to, if not the truth of what happened the last 2 weeks is asking for the flames to commence. It's also what's referred to as trolling, igniting the flames or throwing kerosene on a bonfire, and therefor no wonder she have a horde of people ready to spam the read as Jade herself has done many times the last 2 weeks. IC and OOC or in a bowl called JF spokeswoman Jade Constantine. And i'm a neutral

Learn to read Gafton. I couldn't care less about ooc responses to my thread. I do care about a premeditated campaign to troll and flame a thread until it is locked.
These are two very different things and you know it. (not that you would admit it of course).

And it breaks my heart really to see that players of this game are so intent on protecting their pretend alliance that they would so extensively trash a few thousand words of narrative analysis of the ongoing war situation in this way.

Secondly I want to point something out to you Jade. You know this just as well as I do. Your IC role in this game is to breed hate. Maybe you have some euphamisms for it, meh who gives a ****. You breed hate.
I remember a time back in the NVA days when I was not aware of who or what you were. I was under the same blindess than many corps/alliances are in now. I believed what you said and supported you. It was at this time that I unrightfully killed a TTI pilot at a very lagged and overcrowded event in Amarr. You were happy about this and said that you would potentionally use this as fuel. You thought about using this to incite a war with NVA and CFS by stating that NVA was paid by CFS to kill the TTI member. This was far from the truth, but you thought it would be good for moral for the NVA to have an easy opponent. It was at this time that we were battling with the pirate types in m3g4/bio/whatever.
You had an agenda. To keep your little alliance under your thumb. You took measures to do this. Lord only knows what level of lies you spat to keep as much control as possible. It even got to the point were everyone within the NVA had to tell you to shut your mouth beacuse it was getting so out of hand. Each post was more and more desperate and reflectred very badly upon the NVA. You did repsect the wishes of the NVA but this was just the calm before the storm.
You breed hate.
You write lies.
You bread hate.
You recieved hate.
Face it.

All I saw was a lot of people responding with counterpoints to what they saw as "inacuracies" in your post. After all, this is a forum for debate. Crying "TROLL" and "FLAMERS" because they dont agree with you is quite childish.

PA intentionally flamed an IC narrative analysis to the lock because they didn't want to have that material available to the Eve player base.
Simply because it made them look bad.

I really think some of you should take a break from the forums, just stop reading/posting for like a week and chill out honestly, this stuff is getting really seriously out of hand. I mean hell I've done my fair share of flaming but this pa/jf/nast/whatever thing is really beyond a joke, for days and days now its just been a constant stream of one post after another each getting flamed down within minutes of it appearing. Each side accuses the other of lame forum wars, lame forum greifing and whatever and you really are all as bad as each other.
I mean what you have to ask yourselves is what is the point in these flame wars, you think anyone on the outside actually BELIEVES anything either of the two sides has to say after all you lot have spewed forth onto the forums over the last few months? I doubt it....
I like a good war as much as the next man, infact probably more, but all of ya's need to take a cooler and repeat the magic mantra, its onnllly a game, its onnnllyy a game. I want an IC narrative analysis of the war to stay in an unlocked thread.
PA wants the thread locked.
Hence they will flame everything that moves until the lock.
Your "both sides are as bad as the other" is a cop-out.
Only one side wants threads locked to stifle debate. And reading these recent threads you can see which side it is.

Perhaps if you posted your IC posts in the IC forum then the mods could just delete any OOC replys for you.
If you post in an OOC forum even if you say its IC, expect to get OOC replys.
If you have a problem with the moderators actions you should email the mods, posting here in this manour is only going to encourage more flaming, although I guess you know that.

Jade I aint getting into this with you, but you know full well if say Halseth had posted something similar to what you did, the JF guys and the rest of their allies would of flamed it down just as heavily as the PA guys did to you. Besides which if they were flaming it why did you HAVE to reply? Why not just petition the mods and let them handle it? You were just as guilty as they were Jade and you know it.
You are all really as bad as each other and for this to stop its going to take one corp to say right thats it, we are the more mature, we just gonna leave the forums alone. Flames, hate, loathing, nonsense aside, the fact remains.
You guys flamed and trolled a valid thread until it was locked because you didn't want to see it stand in the eyes of the community.
One thing I think everyone should probably remember at this point.
I suspect I have already been the single most reviled player in the history of Eve online. I have had more swearing and shouting and personal insults levelled against me than anyone else.
This has two immediate implications;
1. I consistently hit a nerve.
2. I am pretty damned immune to being silenced by flamers.
So, I sustain my protest.
PA you cheated and "griefed" a forum thread to the lock.
I simply say this is clearly not on and the more you insult and hopelessly attempt to demean or bully me the more desperately outclassed you look in the sphere of rational rebate.
