Can't believe we willingly did 30 jumps one way each night to get pew pew with CA. And FA > CA. And lotsa lub to our SA homies :)
There's not many of the old guys left, and those that are, well, inactive. hirr still lives, we still got the nutters of 4s, Fluffie and his pack, and Drakona and zeh germanz as buddies.
Fleet battles were actually playable then, and instead of massive numbers that's being fielded today you could get a good sunday smashup with a 30 on 30.

LOL, speaking of evol, i rem when they came down during the fa m0o war. Xan said they were coming to help us, when in fact evol and DP's were just moving shit out. We sat on 1 side of yz gate and m0o on other. Both sides left them alone, and they left. Then m0o came over and wtfpwnd us. That was pretty much the turning point for alot of peeps in FA for Xan.

Speaking of evol I remember possibly one of the earliest battleship fleet engagements when evol first formed the FA alliance. I was there in Fountain buying cheap megacyte for my tyhpoon as CCP just fixed the cap recharge bug (it had an extra zero in the value o.O). That was a fun fight. "locals" vs. evol and newly formed FA. (not sure if it was called FA). I remember GODS and Bladerunners got offered a membership briefly after that fight.
Also remember passing by the RUS geddons who took on m0o's dominixes moments later(probably the first time m0o got spanked). RUS used gyro stacking and 1400 howitzers for some insane alpha strike damage.
Man those days were fun. If EVE opened a new server again who would start again from scratch?

Times long past, Eve was a more direct game then, no bubbles, no dreads, no carriers, the map really updated so you could see an attack coming, and the biggest exploit was when you could close local chat and disappear from local and really sneak up on some body.
Stand up fights in those days...

still here and atleast covenant has 4 of the old guys still playing but there is fewer and fewer of the oldies left
and was fun to see the trasher terrorist is still also active, still you havent forgoten that iteron 5 that always seemed to smack you with ecm i hope -)

I personally would not as Eve for me has always been about developing my characters, both skill wise as much as networking.

I was in Fountain Alliance looooooong time ago. Nighthawks from 2005.02.23 21:11 to 2005.04.14 23:48. That was the time i was in FA.
I was down in the area around 5-6 in Delve.
It was fun as hell. And yes i was also a newb that time.

Ahh, I still have a lot of good memories about FA. So much so that it took me about 3 months to stop calling tribute fountain when I rejoined the game earlier in the year :-)
I'm glad to see that a lot of the old crowd are still playing even if they are on the "other side" now. Its great hearing from you.

Hey, yeah, I remember the days in the summer of 2003 with EVOL+XAN vs the locals. 2-3 days of relatively intense fighting and possibly the first BS "fleet" fight outside one of the MN5 stations. Then founding FA with Evol etc. immidiately after. Good times.

Anyway, I loved my time in FA so much so that I kept confusing Tribute and Fountain for the first 3 months when I came back to the game.
