Edited by: Abyssal Angel on 14/09/2008 21:46:11 Greetings esteemed lowlife of EVE.
Some time ago, months but unsure how many, there was a thread in this very forum about the most evil things people had done ingame.
This thread filled me with delightful happyness and warm fuzzy feelings, unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the thread and therefore require your assistance.
The thread had some of the best/worst things pirates and others had done ingame, from stealing, scamming, empty promises, backstabbing etc.
Unfortunately I cannot remember anything else about the thread, other than it reached 4-5 pages at least.
Please help me and let us together revive that great subject.
*disclaimer* I am not a pirate, just a connaisseur of fine art and practices that will tingle your spine delightfully.

I used to smartbomb frigates, shuttles and pods that would warp to 0 on a low/high sec border system.
I got some of the best drops in my Eve life. Snake and slave implants, datacores, carrier skillbooks. Anything thats small and worth alot of isk.
Sometimes i couldnt turn my smartbombs off fast enough and i would pod them.
I would roll on the floor laughing....Theyre 1 jump to safety and i blow them up 30m from the gate.
Evil...becuase i laughed each and everytime i killed someone and took extreme joy in it. I've killed alot of peeps like that im surprised i only have a 750K bounty on my head.

Well one of my favorites is this, a friend and I were switching corps, and he had already joined the new corp and I was still in the noob corp.
We're both in the same lowsec system (they don't like me much in highsec. :) ) when someone accounces in local "Flashy pirate outside the station 9m9!"
To which I type back, "Who ?" (mind you I'm docked and my friend is not, I know this because he tells me on Vent.)
The guy private convo's me and asks if I want to help kill him..I say sure, I love killing pirates....how I lost my sec status was killing them in lowsec....He tells me he's in a thorax and docked at the 9m9 station.
So I undock and warp over to the 9m9 station. Before warping I send him a fleet invite. (No my friend is not in my fleet just this guy and me.)
As soon as I hit the station, I dock and I tell him.
"What I am gonna do is fit a remote armor repairer to prevent you from getting ****d by this guy. So when you see me lock you up don't panic."
"Ok. But he's in a raven."
"It's ok so am I. between you and I we will **** him."
"Ok should I undock ?"
"Yes and target him but don't shoot until I tell you to. I will undock, lock him then you, and when you see me fire on him, you start shooting."
"Ok undocking"
I of course relay all this over vent, letting him know not to do ANYTHING but lock him until I agress him - take one for the team so to speak. (This is all being said amid lots of laughter from the 15 other people on vent.
I undock behind, and lock the raven and then my new buddy. (Sorta looking for his gang to warp in at any point hence why I invited him to my gang.) fire on the raven and hear in vent, ok he's aggressed.
he pops quickly, kinda disappointing.....
easy.....yeah.....fun.....kinda.....better still his char had a 2004 burfday.

Edited by: Ralara on 17/09/2008 06:52:09 Most evil thing I've done? Well, it was probably followed by the most altruistic thing I've ever done in Eve, too.
As a suicide ganker, it's my job to be mean to those haulers in space.
After a pretty unsuccessful night, I was about to go to bed when I found a hauler on autopilot towards a gate. It was late and I was tired. I scanned it's cargo and lo and behold - implants!
So I opened fire, blew up the hauler, collected the goods and warped to a station to sell my hard earned isk.
What I found, after investigation, was this:
http://doom.killmail.org/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=25321
Crap! The modules were worth nothing, the implants were the most basic... and SOIL? Who the hell transports 30 units of Soil and an Engineering skillbook ?
A newbie. A total newbie. Not an idiot - a total newbie - and I realised he had just probably done a couple of level 1 missions and was on his way to Jita to sell it for about 25 million isk - perhaps to buy his first ship above a frigate or cruiser.
I felt really bad.
I don't target newbies, I target idiots who carry 200m+ in their cargo hold on auto pilot.
So I looked up the market prices in Jita on sell orders and worked out just how much I cost him.... and sent him the isk with an apology and an explanation.
He messaged me back the next day and said thank you; that he held no grudge as I had given the isk back.
I still feel bad about doing that. --

Edited by: Niivvy on 17/09/2008 11:47:12 used to do this to noobies and tards.
dunno if it works now though.
get a cheap ass ship, perhaps a ferrox or something, ask someone to help you on a mission, make it an older character faction bs are the best type,
Find a mission and bm it and give an alt the bm.
Tell your new m8 that you cannot tank the spawn and would he mind remote repping you with drones/repper while you do the mission. Warp to mission and have an alt come into the mission in a harmless ship a little while later. little a frig thats somehow scanned you out, tell ure m8 that you are taking damage and need rep drones, as soon as ure m8 starts repping you shoot ure alt or one of ur mates wrecks.
concordoooooken..... and cos ure mates now repping an outlaw concordooooken him too muhahaha
scoop his juicy loot. also helps to have a passive targeter and a ship scanner to see if its worth it.

Firstly, do you think you can manage to type properly? kTHXLOL.
Anyway; yes I blew up his AN INTERNET SPACESHIP but as a new player to the game, especially one who is carrying all their stuff in one hauler, it can be quite off-putting to be flying along and then suddenly explode.
You see, I know that high-sec isn't safe. I know this because I've been playing for a long time and therefore I know the rules, I know how you can suicide-gank someone and get away with it etc. But to a new player, they really do think they're safe in high sec.
Now on the forums, I'll do my best to educate them on this fallacy but I'm not going to go out of my way to blow up new players; heck, I'll even try and avoid it if it's in empire.
Low-sec and 0.0: Have at you. But high sec? No, I won't do that. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's griefing because it's certainly within the game mechanics and rules as outlined by CCP but I do feel that killing a week old player in high sec is a bit of a petty thing to do.
I actually feel the same way about can-flipping innocent miners; I won't complain about it and I won't make a fuss but it's not something I'd partake in.
I'm not a "wannabe griefer" by any means as I don't go out of my way to cause pain, misery or to ruin the gaming experience of others. I *do* go out of my way to increase my gains by any means necessary; I'll suicide gank, I'll scam on contracts (well, not with my main, of course!), I've stolen from a corp before, I've hunted down ships in missions, attacked POSes to get access to the ships inside them... this is all part of the game and it's not griefing.
I can honestly say that I feel I've done no evil in this game, as far as a character can do evil that is.
I think the primary difference between myself (and others like me) and a griefer is that our main goal is not to **** off others. It's a by-product to be sure, but it's not the aim, not the goal.
And as for the example I gave in my first post here; I think what I did was right - to hand back the ISK - because a 25m haul is nothing to me; it's less than pocket change - hell on some particularly drunken nights in Jita, I've been known to give out billions in random ISK offers in local or to give away faction/deadspace items just because I can. So in perspective that loss was nothing; but to that new player, it seemed to be everything he had; hell there were rank one skill books in there for ENGINEERING which is almost about as basic as you can get when it comes to skill books - this was not some alt or an experienced player; this was an honest to god newbie who had been playing for a few hours of total game time; in my opinion it's not right to destroy all of that. It's the kind of action that can make someone not log in again; make them quit - this guy was still in his trial account at the time; I could have been responsible for making them quit the game.
Now if they'd been a 2 year old character and it'd been 5b isk of stuff in that hauler and they rage-quit the game; fine. They should know better. But this guy didn't have the chance to know better. There's no instruction manual, there's no real guide once you're out of the tutorials and so it's not fair to expect them to suck it up and continue playing.
So am I going to biomass my own accounts because I was nice to someone? No. I'm a nice guy. I don't feel ashamed for giving him isk back to cover his loss.
Yes it's just internet spaceships - and that 25m isk I gave was just internet spaceships money - ie worth nothing anyway. So what's your point? --

I remember in faction warfare, it was the very first time I received a killmail. I caught a rifter coming out of a station. I figured he was far off enough and webbed/scram him in my stabber. He blew up and dropped some t1 ammo and some cheap skill book. I checked his dob and he was probably on a trail. At the end of the day it felt lame and I gave him an isk equivalent of all the stuff I ruined.

1) Had a guy in our corp for about a week or 2 that got on everyone's nerves. So one night I asked him if I could test my new ishtar on him. I fleeted him, warped him to a safe, and let loose. Got the ship, the pod, then gave him the boot. Got some good hate mail for a couple days after that one.
2) Ransomed some guy's pos for 1.5bil. which isn't anything special by itself, the good part was how he got the isk. He sold off some assets in another game, used that money to buy GTC's to sell for isk to pay the ransom.
3) Convinced a war target who was angry at his/her corp to get into a battleship with smartbombs and start taking out the miners in the corp. The disgruntled person agreed... too bad only 1 miner got killed before the person was booted from corp.
4) Killed a war target in a faction fit CNR, ransomed the corp for 1bil to end the war, then sold all his faction mods back to him.

Originally by: Naga Elohim I used to smartbomb frigates, shuttles and pods that would warp to 0 on a low/high sec border system.
I've killed alot of peeps like that im surprised i only have a 750K bounty on my head.
lol, beautiful

Ok for starters im an alt... worst thing i ever did...
joined a corp that my main was about to go to war with...
stayed low for a few days and gave detailed info to my corp... ppl, places, ships etc...
once the war hit people were on edge so i got a corpmate to let me blow up a frig of his with the alt... all of a sudden im a hero as i was the only thing stopping this being a whitewash...
then during an engagement i engineer a friendly fire situation... the poor guy who killed me was then booted from the corp and i was promoted to the security division (with all the role associated) needless to say they never got another kill, and we proceeded to somehow find and kill every member no matter where they hid. Soon they are paying the ransom and not long after the war ends the corp closes, they never did find the spy.
