Will the forum mods actually be moderating the main threads on the Mittani incident that they insist everyone post in? If you are going to lock all other threads you should really take some action to ensure that the threads you don't lock are not filled with spam and empty posts deliberately designed to make them unreadable to anyone who might be interested in the topic. |

Everything "interesting" (outside of the most excellent 1989 Patrick Swayze vehicle, Roadhouse), was said in the first few pages of the original megathread, the Master Larper's apology and backed up by the total non-interest of the original "target" (who seems to have settled out of court).
Everything since then has been self-important Titan-loving pubbies trolling themselves into a foaming rage and producing thread after thread of posts so bad they make me want to kill myself.
Roadhouse is the only thing making me want to carry on right now. |

Imagine the EvE forums were a sewers network (yeah indeed).
CCP first optimizes them by cutting the redundant branches (offspring threads).
About the remaining threads: would you partially obstruct them (active moderation) so that they can't flush the material at maximum capacity? No, otherwise they could easily overload and explode to more offspring threads.

Actually, the majority of the posts on pretty much any sample page of that thread are from Goons. Have a look at p. 171 for instance.

It's typical wall booger strategy for when they are afraid the fire will burn them for a change. Just forum PVP where they try to drown out people's posts with spam and get threads locked... Keep hammering away points where needed and they fail because in the midst of so much spam the relavent posts stick out more. Considering its a small group so far you can use the hide posts option for them and proceed to read unaware of anything they might say about cheesy bad films. You can also take advantadge of the stupidity in their strategy to report them.
To think, a day or two ago I didn't care about Goons one way or the other. Now... |
