Constructive comments here, this is the place to get it noticed. Please don't start multiple threads and read the previous posted issues or known issues before posting your own.
Known issues are missing market items, various standings display bugs, threat indication display reversed, and node deaths (resulting in stuck cases, lag on these nodes and CTD's)."
This includes the issues : - Missile modules (Cruise, dmg mod) and skills missing from market - Missing Rails - Trade window - Market window broken (95.1%) - Some cases missile launcher not autorepeating - Those that have more than 200 standing can not change or delete old standings - Turret hitting being audited
As always, Tech Level 2 additions are not visible from the market, they come through Research agents. First batch added roughly a week ago.
Client fix Wednesday fixed the incorrect threat indicator.
Server fix will corrected sentries, two issues causing stuck cases, fixing many NPC bounties, various standing fixes and bad direct trade sessions get items back.
Update: Next Client and Server fix is scheduled for deployment Friday. As fixes are still going through QA, what is fixed will be announced when build is final.

Deleted my previous post because I was confused
All I know is that after downtime on Wednesday, I was travelling from Nonni to Nalvula and any pilot with whom me or my corporation had any kind of standing with was showing up as war enemy/bad corporation standing on the auto-scanner. They were also showing up as orange in space.
It wasn't universal though. Some [CELES] pilots showed up as blue but some showed up as orange.
I'm not in Empire now to test it out and the only people I've seen are corp. mates (who show up correctly) and alts (who have never had any standings set towards them so aren't likely to suffer this bug).

Very good changes on the NPCs. I hope I will never have to mine again and the BS drops even in border systems to empire are just awesome.
After some investigation in the tracking mechanisms, I like them, people have to realize that mixed fleets will be needed, Battleships are not all purpose weapons anylonger.
Things need to be fixed: Drones tracking/range and missile speed. -- Stories: #1 --

Drones seem to attack gang mates. This is happening with no hostile acts and without me targeting anything. I was sitting at a dead stop, npc's spawned, we killed them. Then, the drones went after gang members.

Confirmed, happened to us as well yesterday just before that reboot. But we werent even ganged, just in the same belt.
NPC spawned, drones took it out and went after the nearest other player. Concord did however NOT react.(which would be correct since the two guys are corpmates) _______________________________________________

Many people have asked about tracking, and you haven't responded once if you have seen the problem and are going to fix it, plz could you do so to put many people at rest. There is a big problem with BS's hitting BS's, so for the 3rd time of asking could you give a real answer, when will it be fixed? ===============================================

First of all, it has to be said that excellent work on the hot fixes and working tirelessly to resolve the issues.
However, it should never of come to this. The last two nights on Eve have been virtually unplayable. Even something as simple as undocking requires you to relog and when you're warping to invisible Asteriod belts, well...
In cases where the game is so unplayable, you should of rolled back to the last patch whilst working out the bugs on this patch. Missing items I can deal with. Having to eject from my Battleship because everyone is invisible and relogging because I'm unable to dock are entirely different matters.
Please in future if this ever happens again, don't mess about, get Eve rolled back.

I believe the tracking is "ok" but what happened to damage?
I'm getting excellent hits at "233.8" when they used to be around "320". That's not an insignificant drop when combined with the increased number of none hits.
As I understand it, tracking affects the type of hit such as "misses", "barely scratches", "hits", "well-aimed", "excellent" and we're getting more of the "misses", "barely scratches", and "hits" than before but why have the "well-aimed" and "excellent" been drastically reduced in damage?

A response about the hitting of cargo cans and lost ships due to this would be a great idea also. I am currently argueing with your so called customer service about it right now. The experience is really making me more and more ticked off to say the least.
There was no documetation about this no rule change that was ever said to the players. Its wrong and there should be something done about it.
I would not like to see any more canned responses from the "customer service" guys about this. It was wrong so friggen fix it. |

This patch was on Entropy, our test server for 3 weeks in Release Candidate state. The problem with most of these bugs that always appear after they enter Tranquility is directly related to 7000 people hammering it at the same time. We can't emulate that scenario.
Others bugs such as the market items missing are just bad management of me since I greenlighted the patch, no need to blame anyone else than me.
Rolling back means moving back time, it isn't possible to roll back just the code, since actions done while using the new code would not work with previous code. Hence we rather work fevereshly to fix the bugs rather than roll back. _____________________________ I say hey sky, s'other say I won say, I pray to J I get the same ol' same ol. |

How correct you are since people have been using mixed fleets in combat since retail it must be this patch that made it possible huh? Solo battleships have always had that strange ability to survive anything and rule the galaxy yup yup. This will simply move tactics to duo-wing killing, having interceptors near the spawnpoint jamming and scrambling, still battleships 40km away killing ships like never before being all purpose once again. Little frigates dying just like usual only with the BS pilots more angry and the bigger corps winning even bigger, yup yup. I'm glad it is at least "being audited".
The sound for targeting is wrong, it now finishes with a "blop" before targeting is done.
I would like a "missile range" in the info.
NPC pirates boost their shields on a timer even before they are damaged, please do an "if dam=1" somewhere.

Edited by: Aitrus on 17/06/2004 10:41:38 Mission bug:
Quote: The Trojan Horse, Part 4 - Gather video logs =======================
Mission briefing: ----------------------- That identification data we received has been pretty helpful, we have been able to discern the names and home ports of several people we suspect to be Caldari agents. However, we still need more data to achieve a positive ID on the culprits. WeÆve requested, through official channels, copies of the security video logs in the various stations identified by the reports. They should give us enough information to plan some sort of stratagem for turning an agent or two to our side.
We need you to go and fetch those video logs. There is a lot of data to go over, as they are unedited. So the sooner you get them back here, the sooner we can start. Go to New Caldari V - Moon 2 - House of Records Archives and pick up the shipment. This time, weÆve had someone compile them all in one place for you. So no running from station to station this time. Also, bring back a little something else thatÆs meant for my personal use. Off the record, of course, and thereÆs a little bonus included for you. How does that sound? Acceptable?
Collateral ----------------------- Prior to accepting this mission, the following must be provided by you as collateral, to be returned to you upon successful completion of the mission: 3730 credits
Objectives ----------------------- To complete the mission, the following must be performed by you: one unit of Planetary Vehicles must be transported from Chainelant VIII - Moon 3 - Imperial Armaments Factory to Sileperer IV - Moon 9 - Expert Distribution Warehouse
Rewards ----------------------- Upon completing the mission, the following will be awarded to you: twelve thousand credits
Bonus Rewards ----------------------- The following bonuses may be awarded to you: thirteen thousand credits - will be yours if you complete the mission in 45 minutes
Notice the objective discrepancy between the briefing and the objectives. In the noobie corps this has caused quite a bit of confusion.

Glad someone else is have the same fun with the Customer Service side of things
On the other hand though without getting involved in my problems with Customer service the issue that Forgyl brought up about Heavies is a good one. So far I've not seen any problems with the new patch apart from slight bugs that need ironing out. The part of Heavy Missiles is a very good one. They need to be taken up as now that a Cruiser cannot hold Torps or Cruise in the bays has reduced what used to be the best part of the fun factor for EVE! Bombing about in a few Cruisers blowin up whatever we saw. The Heavy Missiles surely need a make over!! A gain of 100hp or 75hp at the very least so then the training of the skill could take it up closer to the 100hp in addition per level.

With the recent changes to the missile types able to be used in each ship/launcher and when heavy missiles are men tto be being reinvented as the standard missile type why can they not be a bit better. Extra damage per skill lvl, or a change to the missiles maybe?

I hear u schmeck, we really do need to consider adding some sort of damage hp tot he heavy missiles to make them worth while using. I mean cruisers such as bb's are now having to e used at distance to jus for scrambling without doing as much damage as before
