No Trademark Notoriety Alliance

This has been a long time coming and is sure to bring a smile to the faces of former friends and foes alike.
We are disbanding our corp. If you are wondering why, here is the series of events that lead up to this decision.
A few months after we formed our alliance in October 07, our CEO at the time disappeared from game for an extended period of time. We continued in his absence, as others stepped up to handle the duties on a "temporary" basis waiting for his return. He returned and disappeared several times over those early months, but we pressed on as an alliance due to our involvement in the Alliance PVP tournaments.
The truth was no one in our corp wanted to lead a corporation, much less an Alliance, other than our former ceo. After the tournament was over, and it became apparent that his periods of activity/inactivity would continue, we dissolved the alliance yet continued on as a corporation. The burden of leading a corp or being executor of an alliance burned out many of our core directors, who either left the game or took a new stance on the game when they returned. This resulted in everyone capable of leading our corp not wanting to do so. However, everyone wanted to stay together as a corp.
Therefore, we have been a corporation without a leader or any sort of leadership structure for nearly a year now. All of our decisions have been made through either coercion or via a sort of mob mentality, being neither a dictatorship nor a democracy. We have been a corporation without rules or any sort of consequences for our actions for a very long time. As many of us are close friends from other games or RL, no matter what we may have done we knew that ultimately we would be forgiven. The only people we ever kicked out of our corporation were recruits we did not know very well who went inactive, or people we recruited who sucked at pvp (and refused to get better).
We have enjoyed absolute freedom to do whatever we wished to do in game, and this more than anything is the reason we have stayed together as we have, for as long as we have. The only rules which were ever enforced on us are those made by CCP, which is why we probably rank high on the list for "corps with the most chat bans or 3-5 day bans for smack talking in local."
If we have set you blue and shot you moments afterwards, now you know why. If you convo'd a director to ask for standings and were wardec'd for it, now you know why. If we made any promises or commitments to you or your alliance and then later were told to "go F-ck yourself" when you asked why we did not follow through, now you know why.
Of course, a corporation like ours has no chance to take part in the more "advanced" parts of the game nor can it actually maintain real relationships with the larger groups and alliances in eve, so our time as a corporation must come to an end. Obviously it has not been a pleasure being the diplomat of such a group, answering for a corporation that doesn't even answer to itself, but I regret none of the time spent flying together.
To those that fought us, thanks for the fights. To those we were a not-so-great ally to, we apologize, our bad.

About the tournaments. Not alot of people know, but before Notoriety and Alliance Tournament V, back when the Tournaments were more about bling and isk (and high grade pirate implants sets), an event I'd say was simply awe-inspiring occured. When the 4th Alliance Tournament was announced, a brand new tiny little corp named No Trademark told their alliance "hey, we think we wanna do that tournament thing."
And so The Omega Security Syndicate (OSS) was entered into Alliance Tournament IV, with the only request simply being "Please don't embarass us". Lead by one of our most respected members and tournament tactician (who was dual-boxing for the tourney :P) and FC'd by our ceo, No Trademark readied itself for it's first match, set for the opening day of the tournament. They would face off against the veteran FATAL alliance, at the time a space holding alliance up north, and well respected for their PVP abilities. The OSS was however, less than respected by the commentators, and the fact that the team was simply a 20man corp within OSS, not the alliance itself, was unknown. Not only was the corporation itself young at the time (4 months old by the time the tournament began), but so were most of it's members. Over half of the team notr fielded were newbs, in fact of the 7 members that made up our team, 4 of them were between 5 - 12 months in game.
If you missed this match or cannot remember what happened, you may view it online here.
The pure adrenaline rush of fighting in matches like this and the excitement experienced being a part of these kind of events is the reason why No Trademark created Notoriety Alliance, one month after the 4th tournament concluded. If Alliance tournament 6 is ever announced, you never know, you just may see some familiar faces flying as Notoriety again. How to Fail at Eve

Sad to see you guys as group go your separate ways. Our gaming experience would've been poorer without you guys around in Syndicate.
Much respect and the best of luck for the future. _______________________

Speaking as a proud former Bruce and ex-resident of Y9G I can honestly say your corp produced the most smack per member (both individually and collectively) I can remember in the game.
You WERE a right bunch of merchant bankers with or without leadership it wouldn't have mattered.

D. No member of bruce was ever a resident of y9g, unless by "resident' you mean you spun your spaceships around in station waiting patiently for SK Rooster to log off and go to bed, so that you could undock.
You'd think it strange that a (at the time) 1300 man alliance and their 300-500 pets were absolutely powerless to stop a single pirate from station camping their entire memberbase, killing and podding dozens of their members each day, day in and day out at his leisure, without consequence. Having to base out of a POS that's in an NPC 0.0 non-death trap station system is bad enough for a one man corp, but for a 1500 man coalition? All because your fleets were incapable of defeating a single hostile, resulting in your members refusing to dock any of their assets there for fear they'd never be able to retrieve them? too pro. Just Kidding
In the last ~48 hours or so, we've taken the opportunity to meet a few of our neighbors and introduce ourselves to all the new residents who have moved into the area during the 3 months we've been gone (from syndicate):
Assault Frigates: 2 / 0 Battlecruisers: 25 / 0 Battleships: 24 / 2 Black Ops: 0 / 0 Capsules: 24 / 0 Carriers: 2 / 0 Command Ships: 3 / 0 Covert Ops: 3 / 0 Cruisers: 13 / 4 Destroyers: 0 / 0 Dreadnoughts: 1 / 0 Eletronic Attack Ships: 1 / 0 Exhumers: 5 / 0 Frigates: 5 / 0 Heavy Assault Cruisers: 10 / 1 Heavy Interdictors: 2 / 1 Industrials: 8 / 0 Interceptors: 9 / 0 Interdictors: 1 / 0 Logistics: 0 / 0 Maurauders: 0 / 0 Mining Barges: 2 / 0 Recon Ships: 9 / 1 Shuttles: 1 / 0 Transports: 0 / 0
Includes out of corp kills/losses. The first ~24 hours of our return was with 3 players, we are now at 11 active members at the time of this posting.
This sh*t is bananas
Half of our losses (4 t1 cruisers) occured when we warped 8 t1 cruisers into a 30-man battleship heavy gang, including our target, a Raven Navy Issue, which we destroyed. The battleship gang was assaulting somebody's POS (don't particular care who's) which had come out of reinforced mode.
If you live in the area, and we have not had the opportunity to introduce ourselves as of yet, we look forward to meeting you soon!
Our only request, try not to "open mouth, insert foot" like this guy:
[22:26:13] Jekal Hyde > you won't be around much longer...so just keep smack talking
Not that we don't mind you expressing your opinion, just that it makes you look silly when your alliance is pulling out of the area hours later. Y9G has been the Henhouse for longer than you've been playing eve, we'll be petitioning to have the station officially renamed soon. How to Fail at Eve
