I just started playing the game again 9 months after I started my trial and I decided I wanted to make a miner. After creating(three days after) him I realized I only had 3 in perception, I can bump it up to 9 easily, and to 13 with some money, but I was wondering if that was high enough to be able to get some of the better mining ships or if I will be wasting my time. Other important stats Memory 17 int 13 perception 3( bumped up to 6 right now) |

The only thing you need that has primary perception is Mining Barge level 5. Everything else has perception secondary (exhumers, which L4 is just fine... and drones, for which you have mem primary). So, no big worries for a low perception if all you want is to be a miner/industrialist/scientist. If you want to go combat pilot later on, well, then the low perception will hurt a bit, but it's not that tragic.
It all depends on just how much SP you already have and what your EXACT skillplan for later on looks like.

IMO, if you have 1 mill sp's or less I would go ahead and reroll. A miner gets most of his skillpoints from his int/mem stats true but who wants to wait a long time to climb into that exhumer or barge to use those skills. Im guessing that you have a high charisma. There really is no point to having a good charisma score unless you are going to be running missions or training lots of leaderships skills. Perc/will is your scores for training ships. Caldari/Achura/tinkerer gives a good start for a miner imo.
All that being said, again, I would only reroll if you have less than 1 mill sp's everything balances out over time really and the boost of perfect scores seems to only really help while your still low on the sps. |

Edited by: Arkadrell on 21/09/2008 16:44:45 go remake to this:
Minmatar/vherokior(+3per+2mem)/Drifters base: 9per 10mem 9int 8chr 3willpower (after indy/engineer; 9per 12mem 13int)
pick industry/engineer
train cybernetics 1, put in +3implants.
load your character in Evemon, make a skill plan, add the skills for a HULK.
the reason to pick minmatar is they start with more of the skills needed to fly the HULK, than most others at level5. Thus they can get into a hulk faster than others.
