Look at me, I can post without fines now :)
In response to the AAA question in the last thread, Dawn of a New Empire got kicked, as did MadHatters and Vanishing Point (ex. The Wild Hunt) The Knights Templar have also left, and Dawn of Fire left as well.
Since I'm only a grunt of DOANE, I'm gonna end my post. If any of the bosses wanna elaborate, they can.

Pure were, believe it or not, a relatively capable alliance. They were able to field 50 or so capitals, as well as a large support fleet. (most of the capitals were their own). If they do indeed fold will be a pity, and will be interesting to see where their corps go. The only problem I ever found with Pure was the competence of their FC's. From experience, the majority of them were unwilling to engage even numbers, and when they did they lost due to lack of experience/tactics.
Best of luck to any ex-Pure corps.

Edited by: KillFace666 on 22/09/2008 14:08:50 OMG posting on CAOD.
Actually I felt we had some very competent FCs in Pure. Many were in the group that has left Pure though. I agree that there was a tendency to not engage with even numbers, but that imo was due to the great deal of ***** twisting neccissary to get some of the less eager folks on the field. FCs only could do so much with what they had to work with. No disrespect to Pure as there were many many good people, there was just always a majority lately that were not, so I feel the FCs did what they could. For all of the COAD flaming going on, I think people have missed really where the problems are but I am not going to go down that path.
I did want to salute a brave Tri for saying a kind word and avoiding the epic caod troll.

To be honest the times i've flown with pure, Sisterbliss and Jomanda where their fc's if my memory serves me correct, but i must say they were pretty good and never scared to engage. Signature Locked. Please refrain from amending a moderated warning. Navigator |

I don't know much about Pure or what they are doing, perhaps they are consolidating the corps within their alliance and cutting out the under-performing alliances who do not contribute as much to the defence of Pure space?
Just having a quick look at the Pure killboard:
Top Losers:
1. Dawn of a new Empire 3766 2. The Knights Templar 3010 5. Madhatters Inc. 1800 10. Vanishing Point. 1348 20. Dawn of Fire 758
Top Killers:
23. Dawn of Fire 327
Perhaps that is a reason for some of those corps being moved on?

Edited by: Carai an''Caldazar on 22/09/2008 15:02:08 Edited by: Carai an''Caldazar on 22/09/2008 15:01:07 LOL...
It seems that MANY killmails have been removed (edit: or at least don't show up under corporation listings) from the PURE Killboard - that is, now that DOANE, VANIS, MADH, TKT, etc are no longer in PURE they no longer show up on the killboard under top corporations...
A pity really, since DOANE was the lead in kills when we left by a hefty margin, and VANIS was up there with us each month (adding in Wild Hunt, I think they might have been #2 for all-time?) TKT also had a very good reputation for showing up to the fight and delivering...
Losses imply one shows up to the fight, as during a lagfest death can often be inevitable...
Kills imply that one knows what they are doing when they do show up to fight, and for those who fought with us or against us, I'm sure you will see the corporations that were removed scattered throughout your respective killboards plenty :) ~Carai an'Caldazar~ ~Carai an'Ellisande~ -- Dawn of a new Empire -- Pure. |

I LOLed a little when I saw that post.
Edit: I read post as indicating we were under performing, rereading it, maybe that wasnt the case, but the lawl was still had.

funny you should say that as noticed exactly the same thing regards the killboards.
Had many a good time in pure. espec the early days, so I do from time to time keep an eye on what my old friends are doing. Always had respect for the likes of Doane, twh, tkt etc.. when I was there and sad to see the alliance change like this. Be it for better or worse only time will tell.
I would be very interested in what a lot of Pure Legion pilots think of it, Ive noticed there numbers have dropped a bit also.
Also, just a question I guess to the "old" big man
Drantis, if your no longer president, does that mean you will now be fined for posting in the thread that got locked ( ow and congratz on the family news )
Ow one more thing. Will be VERY intersting to see, now that BoB own vale, maybe the mgam system bug will get fixed

i will prolly be flamed for this, but you guys in tri fought a good fight. i for one appreciate the challenge in vale you put up and despite the smack i look forward to fights in the future
as for the killboards, the losses should prolly be viewed more in the light of what the corps gave to fights and not the numbers they lost perhaps? i know doane never runs from a good fight

ROFL! Just fyi, bro, heck your facts -- i.e., BEFORE the editing took place. Old screenshots of those listings would actually indeed be most enlightening. But suffice it to say, again, ROFL!!! If you look on the eve-kill.net public killboards you will find what i am pretty sure we can all agree is an impartial and reasonably accurate view of the situation with the Pure corps prior to the removal of the corps involved.
Vanishing Point pretty much equals the corp formerly known as The Wild Hunt btw. Hi Archy <3

My old corp is in third place all time kills now.
But what the guys said above is true, DOANE, VANIS and the Hatters were heavy hitters on the killboard.
Heck I even made it into the top 13 all time kills now a large chunk of pilots have been removed.
I suppose this must be my sig. I'll do something cool with it eventually. |

Thanks Spectre for showing what PURE decided to delete. The corps that left were the heavy hitters for PURE, DOANE, Madhatters, Vanishing Point, TKT. And we had a few awesome FC's, Codin and Sister Bliss...thanks for the great fights we got into.
Tri Guys-- Thanks for the fun pew pew.
BoB--- yeah I'm sure we will be seeing you again soon
Pure was a great Alliance, it was all the bull that happened in the past 3 weeks or so that really ruined them. Thanks PURE for some fun times, and good luck.

Not to do any favors for Pure, but they haven't edited your corporations out of their killboard. Any time a corp leaves an alliance, and one of their members is involved in a killmail that goes up on the Pure killboard, the killboard will then note the corps departure and remove them from the top killers list.
... don't ask me why you're still on the losers list, I didn't program the thing.
