On a fairly basic character:
To train missile specs to IV and supports to V: 256 days. To train a turret specs to IV and supports to V: 161 days.
Look how stupid you are.
Gypsio can you point out what support skillz you are learning to get these numbers coz i get:
To take my earlier situation only now included with the support skills (in the missile tab and the turret tab: (This is still with learning skillz at 3-4 over the board) And taking the skills to IV as IV is by most acknowlaged to be reasonable good.
Player A with the missile skills
added support skillz: - Cruise Missile Spec to IV (was already I in previous post) - Missile Bombardment to IV - Warhead Upgrades to IV - Target Navigation Prediction to IV - Rapid Launch to IV - Missile Projection to IV - Guided Missile Precision to IV
Together with the previous given 37 days this comes to 59 days
Now Player B with the Mega Pulse laser not going to see if Beams are met.. just picking out the support skillz here:
added support skillz: - Large Pulse Laser Spec to IV - Controlled Bursts to IV - Rapid Firing to IV - Sharpshooter to IV - Surgical Strike to IV - Trajectory Analysis to IV
together with the earlier mentioned 90 ish days this becomes about 110 days
It's still shorter to get missiles even without counting the support skillz for the pulse laser!!!
Engineering, Electronics, Weapon upgrades, Adv weapon upgrades and the like not counting as they work for both sides..
PS: don't call ppl stupid just because they have a different view on a subject then you have... this issue we have now is imo just a difference in iterpertation on which supports skillz are mentioned. I mentioned mine and i get a different outcome.. now mention yours to see where the difference lies.. ------- Always a deeply religious people, religion remains of great importance to every Amarrian, a fervour which at various times has been responsible both for great good and great evil. |

Seriously, are you ******ed? Because if you are I don't want to make fun of you. Otherwise, you are a stupid moron. I have said that it is a bigger investment getting ALL missile skills. However, this is not about the training of ALL skills, it is about getting the skills you are after. If you just want to cross spec into a Raven and just go for Cruise or Torps you are not forced to take smaller skills to the same degree.
Either read the ****ing thread or don't post, don't try and derail it with shit like that.

Edited by: Arkadrell on 03/10/2008 09:19:02 meh.. yeah faster to train missiles, and yes it seems unfair turret system doesnt work that way but it doesnt.
Hope everyone here picked characters with high base perception when they created them, if theyre planning to/or havent yet train(ed) turrets up.

Missiles and guns are just different, why won't you guys get over it?
Celebrate the differences.
But honestly I think the long progression to large guns is so that new players are forced to go through frigates (unless started as combat character), then cruisers and battlecruisers, and finally battleships. You need alot of support skills anyway to use high end guns effectively, while missiles always are going to hit. The only problems you will have is range and being crap against frigates really. |

This topic and the constant anti-Caldari/missile whinging sucks, tbh.
Just man-up and train everything then any changes won't bite you in the ass to hard.

because whilst you're pew-pewing at us with t2 missiles, we're pew pewing at u with t1 guns, with t1 ammo and getting out dps'd. so. that's why we aren't getting over it.
