Easy enough fix.
Remove the goddamn Doomsday (CONCORD HAS HEREBY DECLARED A HALT TO ALL DOOMSDAY MANUFACTURING UNDER THE YULAI TREATY) or something.
**** Titans get:
8 High (8 Capital Guns) or (8 Capital Launchers) 6 Mid 8 Low
x3 Rig Slots
Varied Drone Bay ****
Guns/Lasers: 50% bonus to Capital Gun Damage 75% bonus to Capital Gun ROF 100% bonus to Capital Gun Tracking
Missiles: 50% damage to capital torps 75% bonus to launcher ROF 100% bonus to torp precision 100% bonus to torp velocity
.....
There ... Capitals are pwn-mobiles now that take away the DD, and make them totally anti-Dread and anti-everything while requiring SOME skill.

I just say make it either % or sig radius based, sig radius helps with smaller ships, but will still wipe out bs. And multi-dd would be pretty much unchanged (titan blobbing anyone)
% based would damage the enemy fleet, but you would still need your own conventional forces to do the actual killing. Multiple dd would make the enemy weaker but you still couldnt kill him if you didnt have your support on hand. |

I personaly would like to see DDDs droppeing everyone in system out of warp where they are and make it impossible to initiate warp in system for a duration... let's say 1 minute just as an example. I'm sure CCP could come up with a suitable reason for that like warp-space distortion or whatever.
It would leave the Titan as a formidable weapon, but there would be a small window of opportunity for HIC pilots already on grid with them to get a tackle. It would probably even add another strategic dimension to them.. want to prevent a fleet from warping? Drop a DD anywhere in the system, doesn't even have to be on the fleet.
Could even extend on this and make it possible to override your board computer who prevents you from warping 'cause it's not save, but with the risk of warping to the wrong location, overheating your modules, damaging or even destroying your ship.

Easy to kill if you're smart goes for 1 maybe 2 titans in the system but not for 2+ which is the problem here. Also what you say is, if you got enough iskies you have your right to ruin the gameplay of hundreds, maybe thounds of other players? No Sir I Don't Think So.

Exactly as I said above. The problems are multiple titans on the battlefield. Making everything more expensive won't work and if it works only for a few weeks maybe months.

The cloaking is another issue yeah. It's somewhat ridiculous that a little tech1 cloaking device can produce a cloak field large enough to hide a (in fact) mobile battle station.

That's a good idea for a start to get rid of the "titan blob situation". But we should say it disrupts the space time in some kind otherwhise ccp could get in trouble with Mr. Lucas :P

Great idea I love that. Thought about it my self. But has to be well balanced since it should not be possible for a titan to instakill caps in my oppinion but it would give support pilots (hacs, dictors ect.) also a chance to survive an attack.
Maybe go a step further and add extra high dmg dealt to other titans in the grid/system (due the space time disruptions a told above interact with other dd devices). This could also solve the problem of "Titan Blobs"

this problem will solve itself.
eventualy players will find new allys and stations ally under attack will have to make a choice or lose the station or risk loseing a titan.
more titans in game means also more titans will die :) --- Somebody needs a hug! |

I think they should change the DD from an area effect weapon to a single-target weapon. Think about the Death Star from Return of the Jedi. One-shot kills vs capital ships, but takes 5 - 10 minutes between shots depending on skills. Having some moderate short range area effect damage around your target. Keeps the DD from being overpowered, while still giving the titan a useful role in fleet combat. ----------------------------------- You will be assimilated...bunghole! |

How about ccp makes a allaince CAP meaning after a Allaince hits 20 titans +that would cost you half a trllion excaple.
It would allow smaler Allainces to be able to denfed there home more and build titans for them self in stead of the bigger allainces getting more and more power full.
To the point they have all 0.0 to them selfs and no eles is allowed in unless they do what they say.?
You aren't too bright are you, a CAP is useless, they would just make more alliances. And you seem to be saying -A- has second most titans with 6, which is pretty lol.

I seem to remember when titans were still in discussion and it was deemed that they would be mobile space stations with docking, repairing etc etc. They have actually become something quite different and are just another combat ship now. I would like to see a few things to stop the onslaught of a single bodies feilding multiple titans like confetti at a wedding.
1) it should have to be anchored before becoming fully operational, a bit like seige mode.
2) you should need a sov level to anchor one. so its more useful at defending then aggressing.
it should retain its logistical jump bridge ability in transit but render it useless as a mobile dd dispenser and force accountability for deploying it in combat. I find it ammusing to see that large bubbles are deployed on gates and several titans on standby to dd incoming fleets. Kinda like whats the point?
With so many titans in game now, its high time they were nerfed or improved somehow with game play in mind. lets face it you dont need these to take space.
These ideas may have been discussed before but it seems clear to me that they need further development. hope it happens.
