Right now when you activate a module in space. You have two options. You can either set it to autorepeat or manual.
When you set a slot to manual activation. It only activates once. If you try to push the button twice, the slot turns red and it gives an error about no manual deactivation necessary. This is normal.
Here's my idea instead.. If you set a slot to manual, when you activate the slot the #0 should appear. Then if you press it again, the #1 should appear (for one additional activation in queue). and if you press it more times, the number increases. And every time the module activates again, the number decreases tell it reaches #0 again. At which time it would stop.
This way you can set the slot on manual. But make it activate for a set number of times in a queuing fashion.
This would have many uses. For instance. You could queue up to only fire 5 missiles before it stops. Or you could queue up 2 MWD bursts for approaching a stargate.
Good stuff.

I know i need two MWD bursts to get to the gate, so this would work well....actually Teavan had this same exact idea the other day!

I'd like to add to that ;)
If you have your module in autorepeat mode and activated on one target, when you deactive it with one key-press, select another target and try to activate again (on a new target), this activation should be queued too, without error messages and module should activate itself on a new target right after it stops "working" on first target. Having queued to in several targets is something what need a further discussion however.

Great idea.
DeFood - Add a "deactivate immediately" to the right click menu when the queue is active.

Brilliant!
This would be great for things that eat cap like shield boosters. Just give it a few pumps.

Just have a keyboard shortcut for that and right-click menu option

Excellent idea, it gets my signature. I'm also all for the subsequent targetting feature for autorepeat modules.

Looks good at first glance. but it can seriously backfire on laggy situations.
You activate a module but nothing happens, so you press it again, and again..
This can be a real bad thing on high CAP usage modules like MWD's
