I participated the event and mined for a total of 10 hours. On average, I made 221k isk/hour, peaking at 360k for a few hours. My character is still young and I'm in a small corporation, but most of my corp buddies were on holiday so I had no chance to mine as efficiently.
As for the criticism, I'd like to see other corporations/alliances try and host equally well organized event.
A BIG thank you for the organizers from me and my corp mate, Matt LeCaro who also participated for a while (thanks for the tip, Matt!).

Originally by: Ruffio Sepico I mean more like control over the participants, who would deserve what and the most etc. Initiative, effort and endurance should be rewarded
If your contribution will be a supplement to the isk they earn from us for the mined Omber, then it should be straight forward to hand out those extra earnings.
If you have something else in mind then let's discuss it, when the next Newbie Mining Event is closer at hand.

Well I was thinking maybe I could fork up some cruisers as additional prices or rewards or whatever ;-)

Sounds like a really well organised event. Props to BIG - making the whole thing slightly symbiotic is of course perfect for this type of game.
Seems to me like events like this can only possibly do good things for the game. NZEA 4 Lyfe |
