Oh come on, it would be easy to make a script that gives every player x amount of hours more game time for example. And there can be a clone system which doesn't have your "idiosynchricies" or whatever there might be. If CCP or Blizzard bankrupted for the work they would do anyway, then I'd be amazed! They're making so much money you don't even have a clue. |

Forgive me but I have 1 question. What exactly is the test server for? I mean these issues should be caught on it when deployed am I right? |

Mmmm So it says the server is ok now and that I have an Incompatible version But no pop up to start Downloading the patch.... Take it I have to wait a bit longer then ? |

I got curious and I did the math. Not because I care but because it helped pass the time...
With an extra hour and ten minute down time, I lost out on slightly over two cents that I payed to play this game. I'm just making this post right now to get my two cents worth. |

Could this have been Avoided?
The answer is very simply:

Software development may be an exact science, but it really isn't !
Some bugs might get tripped within specific parameters...
Before anybody complains any further, I suggest they try and build anything remotely as complex as this and then get back to me...

First, everyone whines about the problems in and around the Jita system. So, CCP listens to you, and decides to fix it.
The patch process to fix Jita to everyone's liking is taking longer than expected.
Now, you all whine about that.
Can nothing keep you happy?

Me being Icelandic I can tell you the root of the problem. We only have sun for the summer. The rest of the year we have only a few hours of light and in some places the sun doesnt shine for months. This splits the nation into two groups. The depressed sit on theyr asses and do nothing but eat work and sleap. And the other half Is overly optimistic. So im guessing the guys at ccp are overly optimistic and there for underestimating the actual DT.

17:10 arrives and goes still no server starting up yet and no patch to download.....
i will say this in regards to reimbursement.....other companies charge you for the content expansions aswell as subscription CCP does not, this being said they been patching their patches for years

To all ppl saying its just a game ... okee it is BUT its something we pay for (real life cash) and its not just a game its a product and we are consumers so if something is wrong we should be allowed to whine etc.
And about the fact that its so much work developing and testing, well, DO IT IN YOUR OWN TIME, not in mine!!! i dont have this problem with other games that i play that are updated on the regularly bases because they're all tested before they put it out for updating!
Another fact is that when i would work in a store i cant f#@$% up like that without being fired by my boss.
