I think it looked better the first way.
The first one looked like a giant candy cane, and that was good because it made you chuckle and it made the enemies laugh and forget to turn on their reppers.
Now it looks like a giant piece of poo.

I peferr a halfway between the two, the first pally had to much blood the second pally didnt have enough.

Can it not shift between the two depending on the level of rage measured in the pilot?

The first one looks ridiculous and over-the top.
Gold, with red highlights, works much nicer. The absolution used to be all red as well when trinity first hit and it looked absolutely ridiculous - like a fire engine.
The newer version is much more dignified and attractive.

Yeah, every perfect strike you do on your target gives you a rage point, and once the rage bar is filled you get to use the rage strike against them causing 500% damage in one hit.
Oh wait, sorry forgot this is eve and not wow.

The new one is better. The old one reminds me of how the ships in the Homeworld games are coloured, ugh. Still, the new one could do with more red details, like a few more panels being red to make it appear that those sections are modified from the original Apocalypse.

Closest thing I think I got to that was an optimus prime transformer, complete with a trailer that transformed into a base or something.
