So I've been talking with various high sec carebears I know. They invariably say that they plan to either stay away from Jita while this is going down, or turn up in cheap ships and see if they can ***** some goonie killmails.

You're delusional if you think High-Sec pubbies are able to organizing in any way that doesn't directly cause their wallets to increment. By all means try to form up a defense against us, you might even kill a goon or two, but you're going to be going up against one of the most highly organized and efficient military organizations in the game. Your grandiose proposal only shows how ignorant you are of how utterly you're outclassed. High-Sec dwellers who haven't never participated in the destruction of another major alliance or the conquering of entire regions can't conceive of the levels of hell a prepared major alliance is able to bring down upon you.

You know what, you are totally right. Hi-sec is filled with carebears who's only joy is filling their wallet and making a profit. Preying on them is the terribad hi-sec pirates who only lives for tears and can't shoot a live target, and not mentioning the thousand mining drones cleaning our belts so you could fly those gank'nados. And rest assured that most of hi-sec will not give a **** about yet another gankfest in Jita, as most of them can turn a tidy profit without undocking. And yet, still, as unprobable it seems, there's guaranteed to be a few who'll see the opportunity at some fun times and try to counter-attack.
In the end, all will know that a few stood against many.

All trolling and badposting aside, Moar Tears is actually on the high end of the competence scale for highsec PVP outfits, so I think the people who expect them to hurr durr a fleet into a giant pile of goons are idiots who are going to be disappointed.
It's much more likely that they'll skirt around the periphery picking off straggling goons, horribly abusing the less large/competent CFC member alliances and generally being as obstructive as they possibly can while avoiding engaging in an actual fleet fight.
The whole carebear army thing would be really funny though, shame that motivating carebears to do anything but line their wallets is completely impossible. |

Ahahahaha, this is indeed EVE. If you have 35m SP and 1000kills, you can offically be ~good at pvp~ and join NCdot.
I hear they're furiously recruiting because of how elite they are. I think it was them with the month long siege of Space Monkeys Alliance. If only they had more elite pvp brethren, they wouldn't have had to run from the evil blobbing blobs of the clusterflock coalition.
In other news, I heard there was some moving about of the old BoB corps or something, so 5.0 is already preparing. Any year now we'll reach it's ~final form~.

While I do agree with you that most carebears are content to do their own thing and live under the illusion that if you can't see something it doesn't impact you, I think you would be surprised the groups that have been coming out of the woodwork to offer support against Goonswarm. Lots of people, including myself are actually interested in seeing Jita burn unhindered, yet at the same time it makes me wonder what kind of game we are playing where people would rather get out of the way of Goonswarm, rather than stand up to them.
Although Moar Tears often gets called "griefers" by virtue of being primarily a hisec dec alliance, any grief we might cause is purely through making ships explode.On the other hand, groups like Goonswarm's entire mantra is to ruin your game for you by any means necessary. I think many people have forgotten this fact based on the relatively "tame" Goonswarm that we have seen while Mr. Mittani was their CSM representative, however, in the future I think we should expect to see much more of the SA Goonswarm of the past. When I came into the game, the only group that you hated more than BoB/IT was Goonswarm.
