Thanks to everyone who has mailed me expressing their wish to take part in this great event. The amount of positive response I have received so far has prompted me to put up a killboard and a blog shortly, which will be used to organize event details. Working on prize categories now and as soon as that is finalized they will be updated as well.

If you are a hisec dweller and choose to do nothing while Goons attempt to take Jita, you lose all right to complain about there nothing that can be done against the griefers that attempt to ruin your game. This is your chance to show nullsec that PVP can happen in hisec and you do matter to this game.

I know, I'm damn worried. I didn't even know this thread existed until 5 minutes ago and I can't follow your line of thought worth a damn but I am most certainly worried about this. However, have you considered goons are not in fact out for hi-sec blood but are actually roleplayers? Yes, I doubt you have accounted for this. While you were busy building strawmen you became blind to the strong undercurrent of roleplay at work here. You see Himnos has it right, this is all just a cover to change the roleplaying dynamics of EVE. For too long has Jita been the center of commerce at the detriment of other peoples.

@Raymond, Good job, I suppose next you'll do some digging and also discover that we're a hisec war dec alliance. The entire point of this event is showing all the forum whiners that fighting back can be an effective option versus just not logging in. For the weekend of the 28th, i'm concerned about highsec as a whole, stressing unity over individual parties, yet you seem to be intent on drawing lines in the sand which makes me wonder where YOUR real intentions are. I'm also really sorry to hear that an NPC corp forum alt won't be supporting our event

It is just part of Eve to be carefull to believe what an unknwon tell you.
In this section there are enough "proud" stories about how one ripped off someone who tought he would get help (I wouldn't be proud, because if I read them, I ask myself whether the writer ever used his few braincells to think about the fact that he doesn't know what kind of personality is behind the other character ... eg UELA gives minimum age, but who is checking it ? cfr my coplaint in my first post in this topic)
I think it is not wrong to put some questions when reading "Show You Care, Kill a Carebear!!!" , I know my previous post might sound offensive, but if I read through this section of the forum (and you surely have done that as well) there are enough stories which show you one should be cautious

Keep in mind there will probably be a lot of people who played in the "safe" part of the game, such as mining, and not knowing that one might shoot at eachother when both are in a fleet and both are from the same corp
You can imagine there might be corps (and I'm not saying your corp has this in mind; I just don't know you and your corp personally) inviting none PvP players to join for the ultimate action against "Burning Jita" and in fact just wanting them in their corp and in their fleet to kill them in a very easy way for their killboards without interference of Concord

Understandable. To people who might be doubting our intentions, I think it's worth pointing out that we're more anti-nullsec than anything else. We generally only war dec Nullsec alliances to kill them when they come to highsec. Its extremely rare that we war dec highsec alliances that primarily reside in Highsec and when we do it's usually a merc contract. I would like to remind everyone that while our playstyles may be different, at the end of the day we consider ourselves to be highsec residents first and foremost.

I'm wondering if all the miners petitioned Concord to let them disable the saftey switches on their mining lasers, that they would listen? Just for the time that Hulkageddon is taking place . All those Gankers want is a little fun and excitment , Well .... getting the nose of their ship sliced off with a mining laser sounds like fun to me , it will be like bringing a knife to a gun fight , up close and personal , and even though we only have a 15km range , it will give us a bit more of a chance to defend our selfs , with some really nice tears .ganker tears .
