There are 3 basic things that limit EVE's growth:
- server performance
- the subjective feeling of the EVE universe being full / too small
- the fact that the client UI is very dated and just extremely bad compared to virtually any current, moderately successful MMO (WoW, TR, WAR, ...)
The perceived fairness in the "endgame" isn't one of these things, although it's not uncommon that people /ragequit because their Alliance is losing.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

Just out of interest why are you limiting it to Amarr only if you don't care about the game any more? It seems silly to give away stuff in the first place when you may want to come back. It seems even sillier to use these game mechanics which are so broken to determine which people can get stuff.
Also, it would be nice to know why you're leaving. I guess if enough people say "I QUIT BUT I WON'T TELL YOU WHY!!!11", then CCP will develop telepathy.
EDIT: And yes, I would like some of your stuff (+3 standings with amarr)

Went to a children's party the other day. One of the kids was losing at snakes & ladders so he started screaming in a tantrum fit and scattered all the pieces. Don't know why I'm reminded of that...

So in closing... I would like to say that I look forward to the day when someone actually takes the concept of Eve and puts together a fair and enjoyable MMO in response to this shenanigan. As for CCP... You can take your 20.00 per month service and shove it straight up your rectum!
I have no doubts... you will find a greater purpose for my hard earned cash there, than here!
Hey... don't sweat it! - it's aaaaal part of the game mechanics, remember?
Get Warhammer, its a really fun game. Eve went from the backburner straight to the burners.
