That's just speculation, based on the fact that there's only one in the game. The second that they hit the LP stores their price would plummet to under ten billion most likely, and then over time it'd drop even further. A lot of people probably have a million LPs saved up already in case their faction ship and faction modules get destroyed in a mission or whatever. I'm guessing the first highest-tier ship to appear on contracts would do so within hours of their being introduced... basically the amount of time it takes to manufacture one from a BPC.

Ok, I got it!!
CCP should just come out with a slighty less powerful version of these BS and just rename them '(faction) Militia (ship name)', like "Minmatar Militia Tempest". Just give us new battleships!
wait no screw that!!! Give us new Faction TIER 3 BATTLESHIPS!!!
(and T3 BCs!!!!)

Until FW serves a real purpose in this game, screw FW rewards. No highest-tier BSs. No higher than faction but lower than highest tier ship compromise either.

That. Sweet dreams, but no way will 'state' issue ships relased as in game rewards. It was alliance tournament reward. If anything then it's possible that some other modified 'faction' hull might be relased in FW only - if I would need to speculate I would point towards tier 3 battleships.

I doubt they changed their mind.
because it makes so much sense to have these things just sit in ppls hangars and get traded around for 80billion isk apiece
from a person that has played this game for years, i can see the logic to wanting to have some very very rare items in the game.
from a person that has played this game for years, i can also see the logic of "why the hell shouldn't the average joe have a REASONABLE chance to get one??"
yeah, its cool that a handfull of ppl just have hangar ornaments instead of the playerbase actually enjoying and USING these ships
A simple way to keep both would be to change the ship tpye slightly. Exact same ship, just diff. name e.g. Caladari Faction raven or something..
Thatway uniqueness is preserved and cool ship possibilities arent ignored Awesome EVE history

Its not CCP's fault that the uniques are unavailable.
Its players, pure and simple.
Entity is the prime culprit, as he has hoarded the only Fedathron, one of four Tribal pests and one of four state ravens. He is a complete waste of space and ought to be a pariah for wasting these ships, instead of the cult hero he seems to be.
The impocs actually got used - three of them have been killed in combat, so its again players "fault" that they're unavailable, but this time for a damn cool reason.
There's not a chance in hell they will be released to LP stores, especially for a pittance like 1m LP. There's no appropriate amount, really, because LP goes up inevitably as thousands of worthless mission runners grind away. I guess you could start at 5-10 Billion LP as a reasonable ballpark, but it would still end up with too many in the game after a bit of time.
It wont happen, guys. Accept it.

LPs with the FW corp aren't grindable, though - you'd have to run FW missions 10 jumps away in hostile lowsec for crappy rewards while being readily gankable.
Even so, 1 million LP is far too low. Make it 1 billion or so, and 100 billion ISK...

the idea is to make a new mission ship available as the next step up in progression for PvE players, not to make them available but still just as unavailable to regular players as they are now

A ship or so a year would be pretty balanced, I think. Beats "There is only one Federate Mega in the game and you will never ever EVER get your hands on it because the owner is not selling his no matter how many hundreds of billions you offer him.", anyway. =¦

But not everyone can tolerate such a grind. I myself can play eve (because of time constraints) on the weekends, and even then if I'm grinding for cash I can only tolerate about 5 missions in a row before I'm ready to hang myself. Sure there are people that can crank out 40 missions in a sitting - and to be honest if I had any heart left I'd worry about them.

See thats the beauty of FW missions, you won't be simply grinding, you'll have to watch your back otherwise someone will warp to your mission beacon and kill you. Or catch you at one of the many gates on the way to the mission, and kill you. You will need pve AND pvp skills alike, you must know how to survive in a hot lowsec area, where people are searching for you and don't even need probes to find your mission spot. No 5 accounts mission farms and hubs with 150 sweatship mission workers, that doesn't happen with FW missions, it will require much more than simple grind to get that LPs.

Originally by: Mioelnir Oh and another point, 1 million LP are... well... the new subfaction pirate implants (virtue, harvester, centurion, edge, nomad) are 721k LP each for a full set.
Last time I checked, virtue sets weren't rare at all, unless rare is 3-4 always on contract.
And the other sets? Compared to the pirate sets, they are underpowered, overpriced, and while they are cool, no one seems to want to ever put Edge, Harvest, or Nomad implants out.

maybe instead of just making them 1 million LP's, make it so that once you hit a certain mark, 1-5m LP's you get the CHANCE (IE, every 1 in 100 or so missions you take) to complete an extra difficult mission and receive one of these ships in reward.
Sorry if someone already suggested that one, didnt read most of the thread because I had this idea, and I lose them very fast :(

How about they release a few more unique ships that you're not going to have a chance in hell of getting unless you're in the right place at the right time and either the absolute best at whatever it is you do or have a big enough ego and enough charisma to con everyone else into thinking you're the best.
That's what makes a world interesting; inequality. The same way you're never gonna walk on the moon and you're never gonna be the president and you're never gonna be into whatever band you idolise before they were cool. That's how you get stories and legends. No-one will remember that some nameless pirate ganked some nameless carebears faction fitted cnr, but people will remember the **** up of a ransom attempt and subsequent explosion of an impoc in the final match in a big tournament. Same way that no-one will remember that you didn't quite stop in time at some red light but everyone remembers the biggest and most luxurious cruise liner of it's day getting torn open by ice.
Special people and special circumstances are what make things interesting, people gotta learn that they're not special unless they make themselves.
