As we were innocently roaming in a 200 something gang for chinese farmers, we encountered Some Evil TRI people who were in a mining op in HE-V4V.
We happily jumped on their 40ish carriers and two moms and ... the grid actually loaded.
The escort for this mining op ; who was getting his capa back upon the gate after the dangerous pop in the Belt they were mining into ; rushed back from TVN with some little things in space called Warpgates, as they had abandonned the miners to drink smoke and see prostitutes (who are doing thois profession of their own free will) which just arrived from Jita to TVN.
A fight issued at first between our close BS fleet and one carrier which was 50ish kms away from main bulk of the Miner Cap fleet. But alas they rushed and bumped him in an effort to get him to spill his precious mineral before it would blow.
At the same time they accidentaly remoted him.
A few minutes later the escort of the miners prudently warped like 150 200kms from our fleet (wich was kinda drunked as we were all speaking Franglish and it was too unbearable to listen to sober).
So we came and went to tell them "Hi" up close and personnal.
Sadly they went away ):
At this point. Lag was like ... unbearable for most people which were, as i said, drunk and shouting strange hymns in Ancient Babylonian.
Happily we had foretold this like, in a pique nique 24 years ago and quickly muted the singers with a special event : " A hostile carrier crashed i'm on him at 1M km ; come to me to **** him up".
After that everybody sang lullabies and warped back like crazy people on the cap Fleet which was now hugging its escort closely as the last ones had brought back Damzels of high vertue with them back in their cargo bay.
So Remote was pretty efficient on all these shining Battleships and ladies inside.
As our fleet was fitted at close range and we were like 50 60 kms from them ; we mostly exchanged polite things on the weather in space, the high virtue Damzels profession, good adresses to go and all.
Me ? I was trying to get my drones out (yes i fly only Dominix as i cant really see and can't shoot guns).
After 10 minutes, i managed to get out 1 drone.
I was happy and trusted another one would come out like in 20 minutes max. Anyway it was ok as I was playing chess with the slowed AI of my drones and was thus able to win in these conditions against these usually ferocious opponents.
Alas ! At this point a guy called a "Fleet Commander" told us to warp out as "rimote powa was in da place" as Mom used to say.
Soon after we bubbled ourselves in safe with a dictor who apparently had module lag.
What a laugh !
But all was ok as we had planned this a few minutes ago.
One strange thing though : at one point nothing was moving in space anymore.
It was a bit like Tivo man i kid you not !
Somebody told it was called a "Node Crash".
Local was 390 at this point.
Whatever happens next was totally planned in a machiavelic plan like a few days ago while we ate Saucisson sec d'Auvergne.
ps : truly whatever happens next I'm sorry for all the guys who lose a ship in these ****ed up conditions. Could have been fun.

Ah well, reinstalling the client, because that node-crash somehow ****ed my client up real good. Even after restart it minimizes to the taskbar, and does......nothing.
As for my battlereport. After some X for pos destruction word was we got jumped by a Tri capital fleet. There was even talk of a Titan being there! And there was! But i didn't get to see it.
I jumped into HE-V and traffic control told me to wait. OK, so i wait

Highest local count I saw was 412, Tri fleet was 133 at that time.
I spent 99% of the fight being told "Call Group Locked" and was unable to launch/do anything :P

Nice report.
What on earth (or in space) made the node crash after the fight?
Was it when the carriers tried to get the fighters back in :P
My Valks are out there in space, I have no idea when they deployed, but from the figures I saw they did deploy one by one. I'll miss them *sniff*

Good fight to all involved. The lag was pretty damned horrific. It took me nearly 45 mins to launch all of my fighters. Strange thing was that locking targets wasnt a problem nor getting the launched fighters to attack the target, it was simply getting the damned things into space which took an absolute age.
Bad as the lag was, I have seen and experienced worse (but not by much)
CCP have done well with lag lately but this fight shows they still have a long long way to go yet.
But once again good fight (or attempt a fighting) to all involved.

Was fun for me. I had the same issues as others with one drone after another slowly emerging from my Carrier. At some point I crashed and just as I logged back in, TS reported a nodecrash.
I whooshed straight back in on the gate, to see a handful of reds, and no blues.
After that, around 50 reds arrived back on grid, and unsurprisingly I was primaried.
Cut a long story short, my chemically augmented and overheated tank held for just long enough for our carriers to get logged in, ganged up and slowboat to me and get reps onto me.
I got down to 40% hull before the gangs remote repping pulled my fat out of the fire.

Looks like even with our mining lasers fitted, and mining drones deployed, we still managed to better the isk farmer hunting blob.

Yeah, that's one EPIC report. they should put it on eve ads tbh.

It's because of memory leak. If/when server nodes reaches it's maximum allocable ram, it crashes. In your case node crashed, because something in it causes memory to bleed (my guess would be login/logout/solarsystem_change routines), so it can crash during relogs (hi! m-o,mshd) and or even after the fight is done and everyone is leaving.

was here whith my damna char, lag was good for me
after the crash node, had one point and web on a single thanatos, called help in ts but my gang was stucked for log in, so i was waiting... after some minutes, other gangmate primary this thanatos, hostiles carriers log in, and remoted him at 60% struture. damn we didnt manage to kill him :/

was buzzing around in my little crow until i unfortunatly aquired some followers in the form of fighters and then i was held down by a taranis *sigh* but was still fun

it seems taht everything killed before the node crash has been reinbursed? and it seems hardly any killmails have been generated from the kills before the crash :/ majority of kills came from the fight after the node death

Don't remind, a Nidhoggur. He died, the node crashed and he was rollbacked alive (which is only fair btw, loads of our losses were too).
So it would be the guy with a carrier and insurance money.

1 carrier died that crashed, after the node crashed he logged in to a new carrier with insurance I beleive
Was a good fight overall, the lag was a bit bad at times, mainly when trying to deploy drones. From my perspective module lag didnt exist at all. The one thing that was very fustrating where the ghost fleets of ships on overview, finding a target that was not dead or off grid was a pain in the ass towards the end of the fight.
It appears that a very large portion of killmails / lossmails never generated.

dtee never died , he lagged out and was not aware he was being primaried, someone noticed and we caught him in about half armor and fully repped him. there were a couple other similarly close calls, but only the 1 carrier actually died (and we didnt even know it until it was dead).

Oh, thought it might have been me in an Archon... I crashed out and was sat on loading screen for about an hour, half way through I got an explosion flash on my black screen, then the node went down...

2 tri carreirs got 'close to dieing one was dtee in chimera as he had no idea he was even being shot until som1 else pointed out 'hey your chimera is in armor' but he was whtne repped accordingly the other close call was after the node death when everyone was instructued to log back in one carrier logged in very quickly and sat on the gate with 50ish+ hostiles pewpewing him,lucky for us a handful of our carreirs were able to log in and rep him at about 50-60% structure,dmg ctrl ftw
the only tri carrier that died which didnt get mentioned until all the hostiles had left :/ was at a ss apperently,unaware that he was dieing he never said anything >< but as stated the roleback replaced his ship and he collected the insurance from his 'death' if im not mistaken other than those the only attempt to kil a tri carrier was at the start of the fight where a chimera was getting bumped away from our gang but he never droped below 40% shields

I was in armor when someone noticed that there were quite a few people scrambling me. Due to the lag I saw no damage being taken to my ship.This prompted the change in repping to myself. I did not loose my ship nor any modules.
I see the goons are already asking for a spider tank neff. Lets say 50 carriers were on the field. You had atleast 200 ships. I am guessing between you, you had 50 jammers fitted. Why not try and get organized and jam people rather then call for a nerf?

Good things. Yes, it was laggy, but the lag stopped after the node crashed. Made for easy pickings once ppl started to slowly creep back into game. |

About the carriers:
We lost 1 carrier who was reimbursed his carrier in the role back. This was (apparantly) felysta.
Dtee got down to about 1/3rd armor when our carriers realised and began repping him.
Pistonbroke was saved at about 40% structure after the node crash.
Edit: Inzi as well? - He logged early, so never heard of that 
Hope that clears things up.

I jumped into HE-, warped off, was stuck in space for about 20+ minutes with npcs that were 152,000 km away from me somehow blinkin red and shooting me, kept getting odd messages about how my zealot had left HE- as off 29 seconds ago, eventually gave up and tried to relog, went off and watched an episode of South Park (the one where they toilet paper the teachers house) came back, managed to get back in this time, got some of nice loot and sneaked onto a 5 killmails of stragglers, so all in all a pretty good evening for me.

The nidhoggur was me and crashed early in the fight and never logged back in at all, i had 1 rep running perma on myself due to lag and uber regen on a nidhoggur :)
I login this morning with 308mil insurance and my fully fit nidhoggur all there apart from 10 drones, ty ccp :)

I like that the new code doesn't let you release drones anymore in laggy conditions, anyway I always forget to use them or I've lost them somewhere sometime somehow, so no biggie rly.

See...thats the funy thing. I told my drones to launch when the only people in local/near HE was the Tri fleet. Was taking more than five minutes per drone. Once they were out, needed to swap to fighters ( at this point the anti-Tri had jumped in) recalled them, which was fast, and then I couldn't redeploy.
Kept getting a pop up box that said Call Group Locked, with some code text about session IDs and groups in it :o So I just neuted whatever I could and used my nid as a giant RR.

i had a ship in the middle of that carrier blob for an awfully long time shooting at random things and then i didn't end up getting a loss mail for my ship or pod but i did get insurance so it was a bad fight but w/e.

gf jsut now to nc+goons/co
logged on to have an nc nano roam gang of 100 or so next door to tvn,meanwhile un-aware of their movements i guess lol a 150+ gang 80ish rr bs of goons/kia/tcf/co jumped to c-fp and warped to the tri cyno jam tower
we formed up fleet of 100 people jb'd in as the hostile bs fleethas now moved and is shooting the jb into system,about 15ish carriers jump in while the bridge runs out of fuel ><
fight kicks off and tri support/bs jump in and alot of it dies before loading the grid(to be expected tbh) while tri caps are killing hostile bs,nc nano fleet is reported otw to join the fight,once nc hits system local tops at about 340ish
tri holds the field in the end kills still coming in but obviously tri tower+carriers+w/e was left of our support/bs didnt end well for the hostiles in the end
gf tonight to kia/co and nc you still fail go retake m-0 or something
keep the 'roaming fleets' coming tbh

It's funny how people assume that carriers work better in lag. They really dont.
1) Fighters don't autoagress if someone shoots your carrier. They have different AI to drones.
2) RR goes to shit and they become sitting ducks.
Carriers work much better in non-laggy fights, they become much more formidable as a spider tank and they can micromanage drones/fighters better. Unfortunately I've only experienced one non-laggy carrier heavy fight. I'm jealous.

Server performance there was absolutely perfect. Exactly how it should have been last night.
No Module Lag.
No Targeting Lag.
No lag launching fighters.
(had a few ghost ships show though but not many and certainly not enough to foul anything up)
And considering there were what? 350+ people in system with a shitload of fighters out makes it all the more impressive. I critise CCP enough when the servers foul up but you gotta also give em credit when they perform, and perform they did.
Good fight to all involved.

Atlas is contained and are currently unanchoring their bullshit in our system in 111. It's time to go help our brosefs in RZR. With the exception of RZR and MM the northern coalition's pretty much dead. We have an area right along our border in Geminate which has become infested with bigger ***gots than Pure and need to be cleansed.
Current staging system will be the station in Q-T. I'm told the market there is quite viable. If there is some concern you're only a few jumps from Jita. Some FC will probably do the usual and change our staging system on me after this post, but that's where we are for now and if we do move it won't be far.
We pretty much have our pick of ***gots to shit on in the area now with AXE, TRI, G00dfellas and Church all claiming space. As of the time of this writing there are no sov 4's to break and no jammers to deal with. That could change but that's the situation today.
Our current objective will be to take pressure off of the north by hitting those shit talking hangers-on that have claimed space in the area, starting with Tri. If you need a reason to hate them go find any one of their hilariously articulated posts on eve-o and prepare to get the douche chills.
Without getting into specifics at the moment, we are ensuring that our southern border will be secured against the axis of incompetence formed by atlas/coven/SE in the south. We will also have a number of our allies coming with us though I will not say who or when.
WE WILL NOT BE CLAIMING ANY NEW SPACE. Any space conquered as a result of this endeavour will be given away or sold to people. KIA will likely be taking new space. I know this agitates some of you so I'm telling you up front. We simply don't need any more and KIA, who's been p. cool, has been growing under our veneer of friendship and can use some more room to spread out. Really it's a scenario where we'd rather have KIA holding the space than TRI. That's a ****ing no-brainer.
Your payout for this is fun playing Eve, destroying once again the attempts to create footholds in conquerable space of some of the biggest ***gots playing the game. There will be tears. They will be salty. We do not want this to be quick and we want it to hurt.
You are guaranteed a fight. We are not joining the blob on blob lagfest that is the BoB ***train vs. RZR/MM so hopefully we can avoid the shittier parts of Eve. Individual interest groups will be given separate objectives. Please pay attention and do what you can when you can to help us.
Someone post the bridge route to q-t. Caps/blackops/specops check your individual forums for deployment orders.
We will likely end up mixing it up against BoB again and to be frank, for me it couldn't come any sooner. Like Noghri's wife on a "girl's night out" let's blow this mother****er.
