I almost don't want to say. The probe, of all things, was the ship that caused me to fall in love with minmatar ships. I think I would have preferred the probe get a different t2 role than cov-ops, but I'm one of a few who likes the cheetah model change.

I like some of them.. and I really prefer the reflective Zebra/Tiger stripe paint scheme.
- Hurricane: Looks tough, and is tough. Its looks screams "Out for blood!" when it shows up on the battlefield.
- Cyclone (Claymore, Sleipnir): Looks like a eerie combination of a locomotive, a haunted Japanese Pagoda, and an asian style dragon.
- Rifter (Wolf, Jaguar): Looks like an X-Wing, only cooler.
- Vigil (Hyena): Its a strangely pretty ship.
- Fenrir: I dunno.. looks like something you'd see out of Stargate SG-1 ya know? Like some sort of evil troop transport slowly going to a doomed planet, ready to unleash hordes of hell.
- Naglfar: Personally, I think all the Minmatar ships should have followed this concept to some degree.. its not fat like the other races' Dreads.. it stands proud (Its FREAKIN' VERTICAL!) I just wish the fittings made more sense.
- Vagabond: Looks cool, and sexy.
I only do diplomancy because I haven't found you.. yet. |

The Hurricane makes me want to train Minmatar every time I look at it, and I am a fan of the Nag.
Maelstrom I kinda like as well; surprisingly sleek/modern looking for a Minmatar ship

Hurricane - I tend to stare at it in the hangar for a minute or so after I've grabbed something to do, what an awesome piece of design. Whoever did that thing deserves a reward, there's something absolutely right about it. Goddamn why is there no T2 one, and why isn't it the size of a battleship.
Rifter is great, looks like something off Transformers ( from the top ), Slasher is kinda like something escaped from Mad Max or something of that ilk & has charm, the other frigs are... troubled :P
Stabber hull looks like it's doing 10 million kmh standing still, if it wasn't for the half-finished back end it'd be pretty perfect too.
All the BS have something about them, even if the Phoon looks like a tunnel digging machine. Just like most of the Matari ships they look *different*, rather than the somewhat traditional designs of the other races, I think that's a lot of the attraction.
Anyone think a Rohk was designed by a matari who had access to proper materials? :) really not very Caldari, that thing.

I can't believe no one's linked these yet. Minmatar ship pics (I didn't make these found them some time ago on forums.
Back of topic I like the look of the typhoon (trashcan of doom), probe, both bcs, and the cap ships.
I'm mixed on the tempest. I like the wingy bits, but I don't like the "speaker" on the right side.

Btw, we really need a T2 Hurricane with Hurricane hull and Sleipnir's paint scheme (and with a resist bonus instead of the horrible rep bonus). It would be the single sexiest ship in EvE

It really says a lot about Caldari ships in general when a Rokh is comparatively preety

Those aren't solar panels on matari ships, those are heat radiating cooling fins. The background lore has matari ships powered by nuclear fission reactors and I assume a steam cycle to extract power thermodynamically. Steam would explain the presence of rust in space and the need to cool the working fluid with those fins.
In a sci-fi internet spaceship game, nuclear fission and steam is a delightfully retro and "crude but effective" technology that suits the matar perfectly.

while reading revelation space the "Nostalgia for Infinity" and other lighthugger seemed very minmatar to me.
The Nostalgia is helf together by thousands of repair jobs, but some levels are completely corroded, damaged or flooded. While mainting this appearance its firepoweris lethal. I imagined the whole thing is sutle rust colours.
Yes, i love the appearance of almost all minmatar ships. I also love the enitre aesthetic of them.

Too bad there's not more love for the Typhoon out there. It's probably my favorite hull in the game. I just wish that when you launched drones they visibly flew out of the Phoon's maw.

The raptor like hulls of some of the amarr ships are way sexier than most others in eve.
Although the hull design of the flying pen1s (IE:Thorax/Deimos) is ok as well...

I like the Typhoon very much. Even tho it looks like it was made out of a giant sewage pipe (it probably is), it has some awesomeness to it.
I also like the Fenrir, which clearly is the flying equivalent of the scrap collecting sand guys' vehicle from star wars.
And of course Hel and Naglfar are pretty cool, too.

ducttape look the ships may have, and rusted they are, but i wouldnt fly anything else :) i just like the looks of em (flashbacks of old SF movies like the black hole and such) so i'll fly every day over other races boats
