Ever since I started playing EVE occasionally my open windows (overview, cargo, selected item, etc) would be moved around the screen or switched positions when I would undock from a station. Then for a few months it stopped. After the last 2 or 3 most recent patches it has become much worse, sometimes resizing and moving my windows in station once and then again when I undock. I have tried pinning and unpinning my windows but nothing helps. I keep my overview and most windows on the right side of the screen and they seem to be interfering with the in-station window. Is this happening to anyone else?

I haven't seen the issues you describe.
In General Settings-tab, you have "Lock Windows when pinned", does it do any difference?

I've had this problem myself.
I've opened up the fittings window and had it resize the station control panel to only half it's original height and cram the fittings window into the other part. This would require me to close and reopen the fittings window because when it's opened that small it can't be properly resized.
I've also had item info windows opened from the market window resize the market window and open item info windows "above" the market window but attached so that instead of the normal small square I get a freaking huge rectangle as long/wide as the market window itself.
I've undocked and had my selected item window below my overview window instead of above it.
For the last several patches I've had the window used to interact with items in wrecks and jet cans feed off of the same coordinates as my ships/items windows do which means that if I adjust the jet can/wreck window I have to readjust my ships/items windows and vice versa.
I've had chat windows mysteriously disappear from the normal position and reappear "behind" the other chat windows as if they got disconnected from the window grouping when I did no such thing. I've had item/character info windows reposition the chat windows as well.
These problems seem to only happen once or twice and repositioning/resizing them seems to fix the problem after a couple instances but it's still annoying.
What's more annoying, however, is the drone window. If I interact with the drone window my selected item becomes a drone, not whatever I actually had selected. Furthermore, after you undock your drone window will, for one time only, disappear and then reappear when you launch drones. This has a tendency to cause any changes you make to how your drones and drone groups are displayed (I.E. you have groups for light, medium, heavy, and sentry combat drones and you have medium and sentry expanded) to be reset back to the default value of everything closed/minimized/not-expanded. This one doesn't happen a couple times, it happens everytime I undock and deploy drones. It's so annoying/aggravating that I've taken to deploying drones everytime I undock just to get it over with just so I don't have to deal with it and risk any complications from it while in the middle of combat. ____________________

Yes those are some of the exact issues I am currently experiencing. Since I place my market and info windows so that they will fill the screen like puzzle pieces, they have not been affected so far, but as for the selected items being below the other windows and things like that it happens almost every time I undock, and only the windows I leave open on the right side of the screen. I can't figure out why sometimes they stay put but it might have to do with the exact placing and size of the windows. If I figure it out I will post again. Sure wish the windows would just layer like they used to :P

I also am plagued with this issue and I have been unable to reolve it. The issues I am experiencing are;
- When docked the gang window either goes to the top or bottomg of the station services window
- When I undock the gang window moves to the bottom of the overview, the ramaining parts of the overview randomly switch around with varying amounts of space between them.
I have tried to pin them, didn't help, I have tried to minimize the gang window everytime before I dock, still no help.
Needless to say it is quite frustrating everytime I undock I have to reconfigure my overview before I can do anything.
Anyone have any resolution to this issue?

If you haven't already I'd suggest uninstalling EVE.
Just rename your settings folder, whether you store it in the Windows user profile directory or the EVE client's install directory, and delete the rest of the install files and reinstall it and see if a clean client plus new settings files fixes it. If not you can just re-rename your settings folders (after deleting the new ones of course) and go about your business as normal.
A few patches back I had problems with the broadcast and fleet windows, and sometimes the watching windows as well, wandering around, or at the very least resorting to a very inconveniant default position that I had to keep moving them from, but that was fixed when CCP supposedly fixed the "window problems." Guess they fixed the old ones and made new ones.
Any rate, I personally do not think that reinstalling and using new settings files will fix your problem but it's worth a shot if you're getting so annoyed you're at the desperate stage. ____________________

I have a second computer with the same problems and I had to reinstall Eve because I cancelled the most recent update :P Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem and though switching computers can seem to move your windows I only experience this during actual gameplay on a single computer. Also did not try renaming the settings folders - I install eve and let the game do the rest. But I agree this seems to be a new bug that will hopefully be addressed if enough people comment on it.

I had the same problem until I did the following.
1. Undock 2. Unpin ALL windows individually (It is very important to unpin them ALL before you finish this process). 3. Reposition windows where you would like them to be. 4. Pin all windows you would like pinned.
Not sure why it works, it just does. I believe it has something to do with certain windows 'owning' space. If you unpin them all it resets those values and they can then be repositioned/repinned and stay.

This also seems to affect only windows which are 'attached' to other windows.
i.e.
1. Windows 1/2/3 = Selection/overview/drones which are positioned top-down right next to each other. 2. My drone window keeps dancing around the screen upon undock. 3. I simply unpin that window and reposition, then redock. 4. I undock and window has warped to a new location. 5. I unpin all windows that were associated with it (in a perfect world, just unpin EVERYTHING). 6. I reposition then repin windows then dock. 7. I undock and SUCCESS
So the short answer is: 1. Undock 2. Unpin ALL windows 3. Reposition/Repin 4. Dock/Undock
