Myself and several of my corp mates are -10 ... it was easy to get that low, but now we need to fly into high sec to help friends at war...
we have tried 0.0 and it still seems not to mate much difference we spend most of our time hiding from the gangs passing through or just looking for rats big enough to worry about shooting... (if we can even get our ships to 0.0 without beeing camped)
Can anyone help!!
This is not even an alt posting!
Thats how much i really need any advice!
Thanks Guys

ok so 0.0 seems to be the best option...
but is there a differance in what 0.0 you are in... my mate spent 8 solid hours today looking for BS rats and only went from -9 to 8.2

you gain sec status every 15min, so every 15 min you have to have killed a rat bs because the biggest rat gives them ost sec. About systems, I belive you can get sec from multiple systems so running around shooting bs's in diffrent systems i belive gets you the most sec.
I could be wrong though. ________________________ I'M POOR

Your right... if you kill 3 BS's in 15min in 3 different systems you get 3 hits..
but how do you find that many...
where can i/we rent space that can offer safe ratting to do this without jumping into a camp every hour....

Find a pipe... get 2 scout alts... one at each end and rat away, if any scout alts report hostiles you safe spot up and cloak..
hostiles hate cloaked ships and usually give up once they find out they're cloaked... although sometimes they like to try an catch you..

Go to Syndicate. Its the slums of 0.0, its npc owned, various factions claim to control it, but two or three of you guys in inties should be able to by pass 90% of that no problem. Small fast ships. Inties, maybe AFs, hell SB's can do it. Since your after sec status, not isk, work together. Hit a system kill a BS, go to the next system, split up, find BS, gang up on it, rinse and repeat. Fastest you're gonna gain that sec back out side of missions.

Or you could just do as allready said I suppose. kill a BS rat and move onto the next system. AF's and HAC's are good for ninja ratting.

When I ratted my sec up from -10, I stuck a cloak on a cap stable armor tanked ishtar and went to goon-pet space. They're terrible.
Some of them were actually pretty hospitable, and left me new drones and stuff at planets to scoop.
Not getting camped is pretty easy if you go somehwere you can't be camped, stay the **** away from stations.

Edited by: Vim on 13/10/2008 11:42:57 Get fast talk to lvl4 and do the change of systems after every bs rat you find. If you come upon a spawn in a belt including two bs. Kill one, go to next system, kill one bs there, go back kill second bs in spawn 1, go back to system 2 kill another bs, look for more, keep doing this, wait for bs spawn in system #1 #2 to repopulate, when you get a couple of bs spawns it gets easy =)
edit: Use a HAC or something such thats abit faster then a bs to get out of the way. Also ye, stick a cloak on it if your ninja ratting. Your not here for prolonged ratting, you want to drop one bs, then go another system and find another one fast as you can =)

Force Recons (As long as you're not a Falcon pilot) are a viable solo platform for ratting.
I ninja ratted down from -7.8 to -2.1 over the course of a weekend in a Ninja-Ratting-Arazu. . I didn't have the Fast Talk skill at the time either, in total looking at my logs I spent about 16-17 hours ratting. And yes, when you're done you'll probably lose your sec again because ratting is so boring!
Serpentis Rats are easy to kill in the Arazu. I imagine you could do something similar with a Pilgrim or Rapier, although the Rapier likely will need an ammo supply if you're using Auto's for the extra damage. I just found some deadend triangle of 3 systems in Outer Ring and ratted there mostly undisturbed.

this will be a daunting task for you to get to -1.9, and by that time your friends might not need the help they once did. Train Fast Talk to lvl 3 the minimum, it will help you increase your sec status marginally faster. Go to: http://eveinfo.com/evemap/ and search for -0.5 to -0.9 (null sec or 00), join an alliance that owns that territory and rat in those systems (permitting you are allowed to.) At this point it will take you about a week doing 4-5 hr shifts chaining the rats, as well as making a lot of isk.

Hehe, this post made my night. The member's of this alliance are all scrambling to grind sec status just to fight TRAPS? I feel honored.
We engaged them three times tonight. We had a nice mash up the first time. We popped 2 Drakes and a Raven with no losses. We tried again a bit later and we lost a Myrm and Hurricane while popping an Abaddon, Punisher and Celestis. They had a ton of people showing up mid-fight that second round so we warped out and regrouped.
In the 3rd encounter they had 6 Drakes, a Punisher, and an Abaddon. We popped the Abaddon, Punisher and 3 Drakes and suffered no losses.
The best part was, minutes before that last fight they started smack talking in local.

Looking forward to seeing you on the battlefield. Just a question, if we're so weak, why bother asking a silly question like "how to raise sec status so we can help our friends"? Surely you know you already outnumber us 5 to 1 easily? You really need more people to help?
Also, it's kind of a silly question to even ask I would think since it's been asked a LOT in the forums and the answer is the same every time.
You're a hardened -9.9 low sec player. You're going to grind up to -2.0 just for us? Hmmm....all that for a weak corp. Just seems a bit silly, no?

I think he just meant your name was "weak" not the corp itself...
You would think CCP would have added things like, "Amarr", "CCP", "Microwarpdrive", etc. to their forum dictionary.

I didn't doctor anything. As I said, judging from the emails and comments your alliance has made, none of it was called for. You're a bunch of hypocrites to me judging between your bios and current actions.
Either way his comment was unsolicited smack talk.
