Before reading further, please be aware that this is a press release about a single ship kill. This was our - maybe slightly unusual - contract though, so we feel the need to make a statement for future business references.
CONTRACT
The "Dark Blood Corsairs" are proud to announce the successful completion of their first contract. We were approached (our client wants to stay anonymous for understandable reasons) and hired to kill a Kronos marauder named 'ThaiStick', belonging to a mission running member of the "Pure." alliance.
EXECUTION
We were paid 2 weeks worth of war-declaration costs up front. Since the job was completed within the first week we offered a refund of 50 million, but were allowed to keep it as a bonus. After successful completion of the contract, we received the additional sum of another 100 million and were also allowed to keep the loot (the most valuable modules of course exploded into shiny space dust).
Yes, it's not much, but you have to start somewhere.

grats i guess. Someone must have really wanted them dead. Rather than two weeks war dec's wouldn't it be cheaper to just suicide gank it?

Congrats, i didnt know contracts like this still existed where you have such a spacific target.
whoever (im assumeing its just one person, if it was a corp then they would have done it themselfs) paid for this task must have been seriously wronged by this guy to warrent paying that much for 1 kill.

Since it has been mentioned a few times now, I added some information to the original press release.
The ratio of invested isk to damage done is somewhere in the 1:7 to 1:8 region. While it still is a slightly unusual contract, doing over 7 times more damage than what you invest sounds perfectly reasonable to us.

Fair play to you guys, at the end of the day, no contract is "too small" you would be surprised how many merc corps fail at life and couldn't complete a simple contract.
Good on you, and fairplay for flaunting it about, hope to hear more from u guys!
