I'm not going to read through the seventeen pages to find out if these questions have been asked and/or answered.
1) Are Research Points going to stop accumulating for inactive players? 2) Are market orders going to be taken off the market for inactive players? 3) Are member counts in corporations/alliances going to be accurately reflected for inactive players? |

Originally by: Mora Makur First, let's lets clarify:
Inactive / expired accounts = unpaid accounts If you paying and not logged in, your skills continue to train.
Ghost training, that is training a skill while not paying for the account, is at best an exploit. We were getting something for free, and now we are not. Why should you continue to accumulate skill when you are not paying for it? I'm actually angry that this exists. I am quite appreciative that they retain expired account data for as long as they do to begin with.
Those skills that take really long to get are meant to be very hard to obtain, which will require commitment and investment at the expense of other skill areas. That means you are actually going to have make the hard choice between specialist and generalist. A game with hard choices; now that's refreshing!
Then your market orders and research points should stop as well. After all, with market orders up you can make money while your account is expired. With research points you can continue to accumulate them while your account is expired, and when you re-subscribe you come back to a fat amount of RPs that you can cash in for ISK. That is entirely inconsistent with the ghost training thing.
If CCP wants to remove ghost training then they should also remove market orders from inactive accounts, and stop inactive accounts from acquiring RPs.
Dividend payouts to inactive shareholders as well, those should be stopped. |

Originally by: CCP Wrangler We're currently writing a Dev Blog that will explain a bit more about this change and why we chose to introduce it, as soon as it's ready we'll publish it.
I hope the dev blog answers these questions:
1) Will Research Points stop accumulating when an account goes inactive? 2) Will market orders from any characters on an inactive account be removed from the market? 3) Will corporation/alliance member counts go up and down based on inactive accounts? This impacts certain CEO skills. 4) Will dividends not go to shareholders who are inactive? 5) What will happen to corporations/alliances whose CEOs go inactive? |

A skill queue doesn't do anything to fix this. Anybody who says "oh hey this is okay as long as we can get a skill queue" is delusional. "Oh hey it's okay that you kicked me in the nuts because you gave me a hat." |

I've been playing for two and a half years and have never bought a GTC with ISK. I've paid with credit card and with CC-bought GTCs.
So yeah, take your rant and stick it. |
