Haven't had a chance to report this yet, but ill just explain it really quickly here[while also announcing "change all ammo" and "fire all weapons" to the public]
When the game links weapons together it fails to change the maximum ammo capacity. Such the maximum ammo capacity of one gun becomes the total capacity for all the guns.
I.E. you link 4 blasters that each hold 60 ammo. You get 1 linked blaster that holds a total of 60 ammo. It shows up as holding 15[15 in each], and when you fire it removes 1 from the total.
The max ammo capacity needs to increase with each linked weapon otherwise weapons lose out of ammo capacity and lasers are unable to link at all since they are only able to load one crystal into all their weapons.

Thanks for reporting that.
Please keep in mind this is only the first implementation of weapon linking and as such it remains quite away from being final. We are already working on more advanced versions and hope we can come up with something more polished soon(tm).

Sweet. I haven't had time to file a proper report. When i have more time ill get on again and see what I can find.
There also seems to be some problems with ammo disappearing when you reload all.
Other than that, we are all very optimistic about the development.

Is there any chance that this will reduce lag in fleet battles? I'm assuming that the gun linking is reducing the number of calculations because all the guns are combined into 1 "super" gun. If so, is this also why they are acting strangely atm?

I've found it you drag-> drop the ammo into the gun, it loads the correct amount.
Well, it deducted 640 rounds from my cargo, and showed '80' in my gun stack. 'reload' or 'load' didn't seem to work correctly though. -- Crane needs more grid 249km locking? |

didnt test it yet but please can you check if laser crystals load up properly? because atm loading crystal in laggy situation means that guns steal ammo from each other thus loading only 1 gun

As of yet, I have been unable to get lasers to load properly. I will check to see if it works with stacked tech 1 crystals, but i doubt it.
Either way it will not work for tech 2 or faction crystals at the moment.
edit: There is no way to move crystals into a stacked laser group. The groups contain only one unit of space and your crystals will contain more. This is the direct consequence of the bug explained earlier.
edit: Also, i just somehow deleted 4 out of my 5 guns, they seem to be missing entirely.

Current implementation is pretty much ACE.
Two known problems
1. The damage notifications are funky.
2. You have to unload all ammo before you can reload. However, loading and unloading is fast, efficient, and doesn't seem to hick-up. 2 Clicks is loads better than 8.

How is this Weapon Linking supposed to work?
You have the weapon link toggle in the module options menu, but all it does is remove all modules but the guns. Reloading is still per gun basis (using a Harbinger).
Anyone care to enlighten me?

Enter link mode, drop the weapons you want to link on top of each other, exit link mode.

Alternatively you can just hold down shift and drag your guns on top of each other to merge them.

Weapon Linking no longer unloads properly.
Breaks entirely if you log in in space
