I have been paying for EvE for quite some time now. Your telling me I was supposed to be getting this for free?

Now tell me how many of those expansions you went and bought somewhere.

Correct me if I'm wrong, since I'm only around a year in, but aren't most all of those "expansions" just fixes and balances, with some limited content?
Essentially, things you would get in other MMOs without paying for anyways.
Try comparing eve 3 years ago with eve today.
There were no capitals, no interdictors, no T2 Bs's, a region has opened since then, theres a completely new graphics engine.
Yea, just minor fixes.

Thats your subscription to the game, not the cost of the expansions. To give you an example: WoW charges subscription, and at the same time charge full game price for their expansions.

does not make it free, makes it included in the price, much like patches for offline games.
ccp improves or in some eyes ruins the game for the reason of getting new people and money for there company, if the game got outdated they would lose people to other games and not get new players, and they are still too niche to charge for such things.
they are not free, they are included in the price i really wish people would not call it free.
You're quite wrong there. CCP could in theory abandon all development on eve and keep charging the 15$ a month if they wanted to. Sure that wouldnt be very healthy for their subscription numbers, but it would be fully legal for them to do so, as it says nowhere that by paying subscription you're entitled to regular expansions. CCP keeps working on their game to keep customers and attract new ones, but since they dont HAVE to do that, you cant say that its included in the subscription fee.
