I can understand your frustration if this occurs constantly by the same individual.
But I pose one situation for you and wonder if you consider this a lack of understanding or player situation. This is definately not the rule, more like one of the alternate exceptions.
Some mission runner, who does not trade or produce, has collected a whole bunch of module 1 and they do their homework. Even with their maximized reprocessing skills and high corporate standing they can make more isk selling this product on the market then in its minerals.
Now they would rather just not wait for the isk and they can undercut the cheapest sell order in the region and still make more then current mineral average. They then see that (/insert trade hub) is 10 jumps from here. They then ask themselves how low do I need to set my price to make it worth some traders' time to come out here, pick it up, make a minimum of 10 jump trip, and make it worth more then I can reprocess it for.
Does forty percent sound like an unreasonable amount to undercut in this situation if they are making more isk then their current second option? If it sells this time and the market looks the same the next time I would hope he remembers and sets it higher next time, but if not get em.
This is a cloudy and diverse situation and I think bad tradeing occurs often but as ones above mentioned, take advantage of the situation.

i use large undercutting strategies mainly to try to move competition elsewhere. if i keep undercutting them by large amounts, they almost always take their items somewhere else and then i can sell at the normal price.
i get a lot of ****ed off people messaging me, telling me i'm stupid and i don't know how to play the game when i undercut their item by 500k. i know exactly what i'm doing, and that's why my items are selling while the ****ed off person has to take all his to another hub.

What I find hilarious about all of this is that some of you drop the price to annoy people and try and force them out of the market. It happens in the market that I hold a t2 bpo in, with people trying to drive you out of the market by lowering prices. What they don't realise is that even at the lowest price they've ever tried to bring it to I'm still doubling my money on every unit I sell.

Well in that case you win. But I doubt every market bully is fighting against a T2 producer.

So even if you got your stuff for free (by corp theft or PVP), you still could place it at A PROPER PRICE and trun it over in the same time as if you have placed it at Jita - 10%.
I know, this is pure idiocity, but that is what they actually think.
