E.g. should be able to see the kills made with THAT particular ship etc...

Every time someone docked you would see their ships in the docking bay before they disembarked. Also, they had ambulation already going back then. Granted the MMO failed on other levels but the concept has already been used. Also, what's the big deal about painting the ship black. Doesn't everyone target using the overview?

B) If you could customize your ships look then I guarantee that a corp would make up scores of special white noise texures that are nearly impossible to compress and would amount to gigabytes of data to be tranferred to each and every ship in the fight on loading the grid. Name another mmorpg that lets the player upload their own textures (no, SL is not a MMORPG) No, because developers are'nt that stupid. In eves current state, every ship has a string for where players can type in the name of their ship (shipname = "chribbas revelation"). Do you think that a single or two arrays containing color info(rgb[1] = 255, rgb[2] = 0, rgb[3] = 0) , or even simpler integers containing color info(color = 1) would make it that much worse? --- Originally by: Torfi There's alot.
